Alister sits on a park bench in Las Vega’s Lorenzi Park, as he sits looking over and the mostly empty grounds. From a quick observation, it is apparent that as far this park is concerned, it is more for show than use. The cooler morning dry desert air disturbs a few small leaf’s that sit as his feet. Wearing a “Jonny Cedrone King of Sexy” shirt, his sunglasses slightly reflecting the morning sun towards the camera. One arm draped across the back of the bench, as his right foot rests on his left knee.
Last week was completely on me, for some reason I’ve been holding onto this idea that I, up until that point, was never pinned in Action Wrestling. Not that I had any delusions that would be long standing or anything, but for some reason it was something I grasped onto. When you’re one on one with someone like my guy here Jonny Cedrone, I had no chance in beating Cedrone with my head worried about other things. But as the literary genius Homelander once said, ‘I’ll have nothing to lose’, and now that, that distraction is gone, now that I took my loss, time for Gael mode.

As the music starts the video fades in to Alister in a suit standing alone in the center of Voodoo Rooftop as the sun slowly starts to go down. Jump cut to a full rooftop of people partying, with music video like cuts to professional dancers showing Alister cheering them on. Another cut to him holding a “Golden Pimp Cup” that he slowly raises up to the camera and then brings it to his mouth and begins to over pour milk all over his suit, cutting once again to him throwing milk in the air as if it were champagne, as everyone around him understandably scatters as fast as they can to avoid the milk. The video close with a cut back to Alister dancing surrounded by the partiers as 2 Chains steps in frame and puts his arm around his shoulder.

What it means to be Pure
Scene opens with Alister leaning against his rental car, a modest Ford Fusion, on the side of the road facing the open and steamily vast Nevada desert. The occasional car drives by kicking up sand with the speed they’re traveling. He looks out, looking over the horizon, the sky, the few details of anything more than sand.
It’s not surprise that so many people come here. Decent year around temperatures, dry air, plenty of opportunities here, and we can’t forget the silence we can find here. This is far from the wet and cold climate of Scotland, pretty much the exact opposite, but at least for me, in this moment, it is good for me. We’re not here to talk about the Las Vegas climate, no we are here to talk about the Pure tournament. Much like a phoenix, I once in a while need a reset, and like one I find myself once again in a situation to potentially win another Cup to display on my shelf. One good thing about a preverbal reset, is that I feel I am more prepared for something like this than I was going into the World Cup. I’ve had the pleasure of being in the ring and even beating World Champions, Tag Champions, winners of pretty much any and every match Action Wrestling has to offer. No, I didn’t dominate and have similar success as they did, but it wasn’t like I wasn’t able to keep up with them, gave them an introduction to who I am. In the end, I’m not sure anyone expected me to be the rocket to take all of them out, no, not on the first of meetings. It was an education for sure, one I took very seriously. Now in this one night only tournament, I feel I get to show exactly what I learned.
The last Pure Cup was recent enough that I was able to catch it just prior to talks of me coming here began. There my good friend Cedrone was in that as my first-round opponent with Mr. Black, but we will get that muppet here in a minute. I watched Elijah Martin slam forearm after forearm to people to win it all. Over the last 2 months I have been driving it home that I don’t want to hurt anyone in the ring, that it’s not really who I want to be, and it’s not. Unfortunately, maybe fortunately, for me, I don’t have that option to stand on my moral line if you will. The entire point is to KO someone or make them tap, something that is difficult to do without hurting them, as you are basically implying your will on other grown ass men. I choose not to hurt people, seriously anyways. To me, it shows a different skill set to win without being a bull in a china shop. Lucky for me a first fight is how you show love in Scotland and I have been known to have some ground game. I’ve actually been pretty interested in testing my armature background out in an almost MMA setting, and here we are. I think most importantly, to be the Pure cup winner, you have to be “pure” with yourself, understand who you are, your limits, your abilities. For a lot of people, this is a difficult task, which is why a lot of them fail.

Alister looks off into the near distance and notices a little activity off in the distance. After pausing for a few moments, looking as best as he can, he looks over at the camera and signals with a slight nod, to walk with him, as he heads towards the activity.
The first individual who stands in my way is John Black, someone who is no stranger to the Pure Cup, I believe this is his third attempt at winning this. Just a couple of months ago he was a first-round elimination, something that I hope to repeat for him. I’m not going to sit out here and try to dog anyone for recent issues with achieving a W, it would literally be your phrase, pot calling the kettle black. I’m glad Mr. Black is seeing a therapist; he must have a lot emotionally weighing on him. Don’t take me calling you Mr. Black a negative, I understand you prefer JB, but at least this week, we’re not going to be on friendly terms, so no reason to use preferrable nicknames or try and give caution respect to each other. Not that you’ve seemed to keen on giving any respect at all. We do have something in common, I know all to well what its like to turn around and get destroyed by Odin. You once said that I’m the fucking glass ceiling in this bitch, and though a very cool hot line, it is flawed. Glass ceilings are meant to be broken, and often by young ambitious athletic rookies like me. So, if you are in fact the glass ceiling, then prepare to be broken, you can introduce The Saints Cross to AW, it will be fun.
I’m seeing myself as a finalist, as the winner, so that also means I am paying attention to the other match for a potential finals partner. Max Daemon, leader of the Dirge, former TV and Pure Champion, Tokyo Cup and Pure cup winner, a dangerous opponent in any context, but someone who’s won this before, knows exactly what it takes, and that experience is something only 2 others have. Then we have Holden Ross, someone who I have looked forward to potentially meeting in the ring for a little while now. We’ve both had some similar success and losses here, he having more opportunities but also, he’s been here a while. Let’s be real about the situation, all 4 of us could really use this win. We’re all in similar boats, and this could break us through to something big. The World Cup got me into the US picture, who knows where we could go after winning this match. They arrive at the source of the activity; a desert fox being picked apart by buzzards. Alister pauses a few yards from them, and watches for a beat. After a few moments of silence he takes a deep breath.
This won’t be me, I won’t be a fox picked apart by buzzards, no matter the competition, if I am to be stopped, it’s not going to be one sided. If there’s no win for me, then I have no choice to have neither of us win. There will be two bodies laying here, but that’s the name of the tournament.
