**--The scene opens up in a scene of pure Hell! What used to be pristine, crystal blue rivers are now flowing blood red. Lakes and seas are boiling. Rivers of molten magna are flowing everywhere, even old sleeping giants have awaken for the first time in millennia! The sun is blackened out. The dark sky sports a tinge of red.--**
“Then I just woke up.”
**--The scene switches to Jonny Cedrone sitting in his therapist’s office once again explaining another nightmare he had.--**
“Hm. Very interesting.”
“I know! What does it mean?”
“On the surface it sounds like the description of what the end of the world will be as we know it in the Book of Revelation in the Bible. Below that though, there seems to be repressed anger…and a lot of it!”
“Where is this anger coming from?”
**--Jonny looks off screen with a dejected look.--**
“You seem disconsolate.”
**--Jonny rubs his stomach and has a grimace on his face--**
“I’ve been having issues in that department too. I blame it on the pizza.”
“What?”
“What were you talking about?”
“I was just saying that you look….dejected, depressed, unhappy.”
“Mm.”
**--Jonny stops rubbing his stomach--**
“What were you talking about?”
“Let’s get back to the issue at hand, huh? I am paying you for this.”
“Where do you think all of this repressed anger is coming from?”
“It can come from any of many places to be honest.”
“Let’s start with one.”
“Well…things aren’t going as planned at work.”
“Action Wrestling?”
“Yeah.”
“What’s happened there?”
“The better question is: what isn’t happening there? I’m not in the position that I want to be. I’m not in the position that I deserve to be. And it’s frustrating. I know I can do and be so much more.”
“Why do you think you haven’t gotten to that spot yet?”
“It seems like the wrestling industry has evolved around me and has left me in its dust.”
“I’ve been given a few amazing opportunities lately. I came close to achieving my goals but ultimately came up short. The Wrestler of the Year tournament: Lost to the World Champion. CJ and I lost our tag team match a few weeks ago. I lost the opportunity to fight for the US Championship at Turmoil. It’s just been one big loss after another. I have so much doubt in myself where I used to have so much confidence! I’ve been accused of having too much confidence in fact. But now? Fuhgeddaboudit!”
“What is the reason that you feel that things have changed so drastically in the business?”
“People seem hungrier. They’re certainly more cut throat than they used to be. Things have just changed.”
“I see.”
“Maybe you should harness this deep anger that you’re feeling and direct it towards your opponents.”
**--Jonny gently nods as he soaks in that sentiment and the scene slowly fades to black. The scene cuts back in as we see a serene snow-covered scenery. Snow on the ground, snow on the trees. Just a peaceful, tranquil situation. We then see Jonny Cedrone walking a walking path in a park, soaking in the scenery. The camera shot cuts from a distance to being right in front of him as he walks and talks--**
”When the weather outside is frightful and an ass kicking is so delightful. Don’t look for any other place to go. Let’s come to blows! Come to blows! Come to blows!”
**--If the word “Ew!” had a look, Jonny was sporting it at that moment then he chuckles.--**
“We’ll delete that in editing.”
**--Jonny’s demeanor becomes more serious--**
“So I lose to the World Champion in the Turmoil tournament. Not something to sneeze at but let’s be real. Do any of us strive to lose? I don’t think so! We go out there night in and night out and we do our damnedest to be the best there is. Sometimes we succeed. Sometimes not so much. A huge congratulations goes out to Spence though! You deserved that win man! You’re the best of the best in this business without any shadow of a doubt!!”
“Then a few weeks ago my phenomenal tag partner and I came up just short to Allister McKissick and Alice Gemini. Again, two formidable opponents! Nothing to sneeze at. But once again, who in their right minds thrive to lose? Absolutely nobody! Last week at Turmoil, in a war to determine the number one contender that involved everyone in that tag match…I came up short once again.”
“This amount of losing would probably deter anyone from getting in the ring ever again! I mean it’s frickin’ embarrassing to be honest! Each and every week you tell everyone how determined and hungry you are and that there’s no way that you’ll lose that particular week…then…you’re counting the lights. To do the same thing over and over again expecting different results is the definition of insanity. And let me tell ya somethin’ folks…I am right on the edge of insanity! Not gonna lie! If something doesn’t change – and change soon – I may very well go over that edge and cannonball right into the abyss that is insanity!”
“The first victim of such could very well be Allister McKissick this Monday night! Allister, I like you man. Ever since we first met in that tag match a few weeks ago, I can honestly say that I’ve looked forward to meeting you again. Then as fate would have it, we met at Turmoil in that fatal four way match last week. And you didn’t disappoint then either! This time though we’re facing one another one-on-one and I’m thoroughly lookin’ forward to it! I’m a fan!”
“Don’t let that fool ya though my friend! In this business you can only take friendship or fandom so far. All the time leading up to the match I could be all supportive of ya and tell ya how great ya are but once we step through those ropes and that bell rings…all bets are off! As much as I appreciate your skills and contributions to the business, once that bell rings the only thing that matters is getting that win and progressing my way to the top of the roster.”
“I know tha the two of us will put on one helluva match Allister! There is no doubt of that whatsoever! When you got two hungry lions going to war in the middle of an arena…only the strongest one will survive. Only the hungriest one will outlast the other one. Only the one with the most to lose will find its way to get the advantage and win. And that’s exactly what you’re lookin’ at when you look into these eyes Allister. You’re lookin’ into the eyes of the hungriest lion in the yard! I will rip the flesh from your body and pick my teeth with your bones after I beat you all over the arena on Monday night!”
**--Jonny keeps walking but pauses on his speaking for a moment--**
“The harsh brutality of a South Dakota winter. The frigid temperatures just hurt. They cut you right to the bone! They make your skin feel like it can be shred right off your body. Your feet can never get warm. Your hands and fingers are like icicles. You’re left numb and miserable.”
“The same way I’m gonna leave you Monday night Allister.”
“I may wish you all the luck in the world but ultimately I’m coming for one thing and one thing only…and that’s to win. By any means necessary. Don’t take it personally. It’s just business.”
**--Jonny stares down the lens of the camera as the camera stays still and lets Jonny walk by. The scene fades to black as the camera focuses on the frozen tundra--**
“Then I just woke up.”
