Are you afraid of the Dark-ness?
This week I should be super happy and celebrating for so many reasons, but this week, I have to be super cereal serious.
Alister sitting in a room full of new furniture seemingly from a big box store. He looks up at a mostly bare wall with a single shelf in it that holds his World Cup II Trophy. Sitting on his couch in what appears to be a living room, you can physically see him holding himself back from being too his normal default.
After last weeks win against Reegan, and then just moving to Las Vegas yesterday, you would think I would be in brighter spirits. I have a tag match this week, and I learned after the last time, that in order to win, we need to be more on the same page. I can’t ask my partner to adapt to me, she’s had more success, so with her being a gem and I being bad with puns, it looks like this week is time to get serious, to walk her path, and embrace the darkness!
He pauses for a moment in a dead stair, before he starts physically moving as if he is attempting to pull something from the debts of hell.
 Are you afraid of the dark CJ and Jonny? Do you like the violence, enjoy being hurt REAL GOOD? Look no further, your salvation is at hand, and your world will now be fucked up beyond everything you could imagine! I’m going to flog both of you, the pain, oh the pain you will feel will be felt on a global… ok no, dropping the voice, that’s stupid, we are not playing games here, focused, and living in similar headspaces, we are united, we are Borg. I’d say, this week will be one hell of a learning experience, both of my opponents have recently been in the ring with the Champ himself, of course with as much success as anyone else. Even better, CJ, you my friend recently beat Odin. I have watched that match easily 20 times, that was awesome, and of course you showed how someone our size can put that big watermelon headed farmer in a sad face. I was laughing so hard backstage after your win. Speaking of, everyone not me in this match were all in that Turmoil, I kind of feel like the odd man out, but have no fear Alice, I’ve been accused of having heard, that dog in me, and of course an idiot, but no one has ever accused me of not stepping up to a fight. Let’s not act like Jonny didn’t also have a fire match that night, and against Angelo, even almost getting the pin several times. Nothing but respect, I mean your style and ability has me wondering why your name isn’t on the other champions tongues is crazy. Of course, I am sure because facing someone like you sucks, hurts, but if that is the case even more of a reason you should be there. It’s really strange seeing an aggressive submissionist like you. Very purposeful offense and it’s done very well for you, I am just thankful that I am faster than you. I guess that’s where CJ comes in huh? He looks around in the almost pitch-black room as if to look for something, seemingly unsuccessful. After a moment he gives up and goes back to his slightly lit spotlight. Didn’t forget you two are Trio’s champions with Spencer. So, an obvious advantage goes to the two of you for that, where Alice and I were thrown together for this very thing. You know, the only championship I ever won, was by accident. I wasn’t supposed to win that match, a last-minute fill in, expected tune up, I was 21. Similar to last week, just a half second opportunity opened up, and I reached out and took it. Looking at the two of your accomplishments, I didn’t see any spots that the crowd was just silent after winning. No cheers no boo’s, mostly confusion. That haunted me for a long time. Why does that matter? No one is ever going to say I didn’t earn shit again. Be it a tournament, triple, 4-way, rumble, or two sitting trio’s champions at the top of the locker room, I will show up with the same energy, no matter who or what I’m facing. Eventually, you fight hard enough, learn enough, train long enough, eventually that long shot is achieved. So, boys, I aim to disrupt what you two have gotten going on, I look forward to see you Monday. |

Fishing with Boba
Young Alister and Boba sit on a small fishing dock on the lake that backs up to Boba’s farm. The morning air is crisp and clear, the ideal time to be outside and fishing. The morning goes by as the two talk and fish, but for Alister, there was no luck in catching anything. As time goes on his young mind grows increasingly frustrated and impatient with fishing.
Boba, I’m tired of fishing, it’s not fun.
Unfortunately that is how fishing can be, like most things in life, it’s not always exciting.
Can we stop?
Not if you want to eat tonight. Sometimes you have to keep at it, learning, trying, maybe a long shot will turn into dinner. Won’t know until you try.
Alister focuses back to fishing, an hour later his bobber sinks with a fish.
