Karlie is sitting in Dr. Green’s office, as he walks in holding her chart.
Dr. Green: So I guess you didn’t accept the diagnosis from last week to rest instead of wrestling, I’ve read the reports from Dr. Hill, it states you have further injured your neck to the point that she has advised me to possibly ask the state of Florida athletic commission to not allow you to wrestle in Orlando this week.
Karlie: I get what your saying Doc, but you don’t truly understand the nature of the wrestling business, there are people just waiting to take your spot, Every week someone joins the Action Wrestling roster looking to make a name for themselves, if I miss any shows one of them might take the spot I’ve fought hard for, and fought ever harder to keep.
Dr Green: I’ve been around professional sports for over thirty years I’ve seen athletes play and fight through injuries, some of them lost not only their careers, some of them lost the comforts of a normal life, I don’t want to see another athlete lose their career and livelihood, I’m looking out for my patient, and if have to take the step to have the state of Florida ban you from wrestling this week, it’s a step I will take.
Karlie: I get that everyone seems to think they have my best interest at heart, I got through last week's match.
Dr. Green: Barely.
Karlie: I can get through this match Doctor, like I’ve gotten through all the others.
Dr Green: I can advise you not to wrestle this week and I can take the steps to not clear you again this week, but I know you will just ignore my advice, and risk further serious injury, and neck injuries tend to get worse before they get better. Please take my advice this week.
Karlie: I’ll consider it.
Karlie stands up and exits the office.
Several hours later.
Enough.
Karlie and Nikola are inside the ring.
Nikola: I get you want to compete this week in this basically nothing match against Serenity, but you can’t take a basic bump without having to hold your neck. I can go to Bunga and ask him to replace you with me, I know how competitive you are we’ve been friends since we were teenagers and your my best friend and I don’t what to see you be possibly crippled, over your stupid pride.
Karlie: Bunga isn’t going to put you in the match, he hates you as much as he does me.
Nikola: You're in no condition to wrestle, if you want to risk your life and career and your well being, I know I can't stop you, but be careful is all I ask.
Karlie: Fine. Can we get back to training now?
Nikola steps out of the ring and nods her head no, then walks away. Karlie yells at her protege to get in the ring.
Several more hours later.
Karlie is icing her neck.
Yeah you beat me last week Serenity, and I’m not going to use my injury as a excuse, despite that you still barely beat me, and to be honest my neck hurts worse than it did last week, but somehow it seems I’m the only person Joey Bunga can find to wrestle you, fine so be it, even with a bad neck I’ll still carry you through the match, because that's just how good I am. You need this match more than I do, your obsessed with the Cruiserweight, title and I’m sure by hook or by crook your father will get you into the Cruiserweight title match at Turmoil whether you win this week or not, but who knows maybe when I make you tap in front of Daddy, Joey Bunga might actually consider putting me in the Cruiserweight title match at Turmoil, but I doubt that will happen, so go train with daddy Serenity, and I'll see you in Orlando.
