Sitting in a church pew as the scene opens to the backs of Brent Alpine and Bozo. Both men sitting side by side in the cold air with thick hoodies and jackets on. Bozos disgusting dark greenish purple hair laying down over the hood as Alpine stares out directly in front of him to a wide open field.
Bozo: We're driven by what we believe in. They'll hire a hundred you's, and force a dozen of them out but you have to stand firm on what you believe in to stay standing. They throw words around like honor and respect but those phrases ring hollow the second they look at me and realize who I am and what I'll do. There is no honor and there is no respect, Brent. They believe in one thing and it's all about getting the prize, it's about getting the key, and that key belongs to us.
The scene slowly turns around them as Brent is holding the World Championship.
Bozo: Rewind the clocks to a year and a half ago, lets go back to when this all started to crumble. A corporation by the name of Philidor Holdings comes in and supports AW going to Japan for a show. Everyone is happy, having a good time, celebrating, but the power invested in certain people never added up. Private jets, Torture and Gravedigger getting bonuses, and some of the wrestlers started to rise all while Torture told us one thing but was turning a blind eye to people like you and me, Brent. No one would ever try and test that either but what happened? The power dynamic shifted and Torture was challenged to a match here, Pasternak was having to fight off wrestlers there, all while Philidor slowly went away but not the money.
The money went deep through D-Day, to Slickie T and his science project and I see all of this and they call me crazy.
Bozo grits his teeth.
Bozo: I'm not crazy. The rest of the world is caught up in greed and cash and I just want to make things balanced. I want to back the right horse. I revel in chaos but I'm not crazy.
Brent Alpine: Thats why you turned it all upside down?
Bozo: They say I don't matter, they say I don't count, but let me ask you; Jill Park could be World Champion right now if she just pinned Gerald any of the times he's laid on the mat, Park could be World Champion if it wasn't for Dandy.
He swallows hard at that name.
Bozo: I took everything this company was doing and turned it upside down, yes. The King was humbled, The Demon was eviscerated, the prized possession was taken, and now I have AW where I want them.
Brent Alpine: This isn't about Gerald?
Bozo laughs as he responds: Gerald? No! Oh-God-no!
Bozo quiets down.
Bozo: This has never been about Gerald, it's about this..
Bozo knocks on the title in Brents lap.
Bozo: And balancing out the greedy, evil who has done us all wrong.
Brent Alpine: Torture and Graved-?
Bozo goes to respond but the door opens up behind them from the huge warehouse we've seen previously. He yells out the truck is ready and Bozo smiles and the two stand up and walk towards him. The scene fades out.
The scene opens in front of a 3 story abandoned .. structure behind Bozo who stands directly between it and the camera.
Bozo: What a long Halloween it's about to be for you, Gerald. Do you feel naked? Insecure? Vulnerable? You don't have the Championship belt. And you need the Championship belt, for you that belt represents everything you've fought for. You are a perfectly healthy, sane and middle-class male and yet you will go to great lengths to keep that piece of gold because it drives you, it .. is you.
I see it differently, Gerald. I see a man who can't look himself in the mirror late at night, who can't stay up with his thoughts in the dead space of his own home, and a man who has a broken relationship with every authority and parent figure in his life. I don't see a man who needs a Championship belt but I do see a man who needs help.
Bozo opens his palms and holds them down.
Bozo: Come closer to me.
Bozo slowly starts to smile and begins to chuckle.
Bozo: I think it's time we put this to rest and we do your challenge my way. If you want your Championship back, all you have to do is find me and come inside. You see, the structure behind me represents everything you are. It's an empty, dark, dirty structure. Like you. Gerald, you're many things but right now you're nothing. Find me, fight me, and let me help you be.. something.
Let me show you your fears. Let me push you to a whole new Gerald. I'm somewhere you have decided not to look. I stand in Los Angeles, this isn't the bright lights and hills you're career represents, no, this is the underbelly. The dark side, the side you turn a blind eye to. The LAPD have destroyed small neighborhoods like this and it's time you face your consequences.
You're afraid of me. That makes me sad, Gerald.
Bozo looks down and nods before picking up his head and staring back into the camera.
Bozo: I was just like you once and then everything was ripped away from me in one night and no one cared to talk to me.. no one cared to look at me until I put this face on.
Bozo points to his face in a jazz style mannerism.
Bozo: I'll be waiting for you, tomorrow night, Gerald. The clock is ticking. Come find me.
Bozo looks to his left slightly and a light turns on in a window in the third story and we see Brent Alpine with his own Bozo-inspired face paint and he's holding the Championship belt in front of him. The light goes out.
Bozo: Come get what you're looking for. Let me help you find it.
Bozo smiles as the scene fades out.
