The scene fades in on the inside of a restaurant. Customers sit at booths and tables, eating from the food in front of them. Waiters and waitresses rush back and forth across the floor. There's a soft din of noise from the various conversations going on inside, along with the noise from the kitchen area too. The camera follows one tired looking waitress as she carries a plate to a booth way in the back of the building and sets it in front of the woman who is sitting in said booth. The waitress smiles and utters a friendly 'enjoy' before walking away as the camera pans to the face of Niobe Martin. Newest signee of Action Wrestling.
Things have been rather rough for her the past couple of shows, but the 'Living Nightmare' is taking it all in stride. She knows that there will always be bumps in the road to greatness and that perfection doesn't come overnight. Her time will come...eventually. She has a lot to prove to the crowd and to the other stars in the back. Those who have talked about her already have caught her attention for a moment, but she has a bigger target to consider at the moment.
The one they call Kano. Former CBS Champion. A man of many words, but not much action since. It was a shame though, she was looking forward to this particular event.
"It's been a rough couple of weeks for me, I'll give myself that. I have no excuse to offer because frankly, there is none. But that is all in the past, and from here on out, it's going to be fun. Even if I lose tonight, it's no bother to me. There's always bumps in the road to the top isn't there? I'm the kind of girl, you'll come to realize, that doesn't give up. I set my sights on something and I see it through to the very end. It's the way I've always been the one who runs head first into everything, give it my all, and throw my body into the match just to see the end result. My opponent laying on the floor in defeat. I've seen a lot of that, and this company will soon see the fury that comes from someone like me."
Niobe grins and picks a couple of fries off of the plate, popping them in her mouth. She takes a drink, then continues after a while.
"So now we get to Kano. Former champion. Someone who's had a rough go, as far as my sources tell me. I guess that puts us in the same boat right? You probably think that a little thing like me stands no chance against a rough tough guy like you."
Niobe laughs before stopping suddenly and glaring at the camera. That glare that would send a chill down your spine.
"You have no idea what you're in for bud. I've faced guys as big as you and stood tall against them. I have no fear in taking you on. None at all. Imagine what they would say if I were to win. Imagine that. The former champion tumbles further down the hill, and Niobe Martin stands above him as the victor. It does have a good ring to it if you think. I like that idea. Bottom line is this Kano. You may be a talented wrestler and a former champion, but when it comes down to it. You ain't got nothing on a nightmare like me. See ya soon."
