A charmed creature can't attack the charmer or target the charmer with harmful abilities or magical effects. The charmer has a disadvantage in an ability check to interact socially with the creature.
CHARMED.
"I can see why you enjoy this Jenson. It's a fun game and even reading the player's handbook has been a joy."
Serenity sat down on the chair and followed the instructions of the official player's handbook building her character. She marked a few checkboxes on the character sheet with her pencil. Her cheeky smile plastered on her face being alone in her hotel suite for now.
"It's been hard for you Jenson."
"You've been following behind a blaze your entire career. You're so wrapped up in their games that you can't even tell which Blaze you're fighting whether it's between Teo or Bryan."
"It's simple Jenson. You lack the INTELLIGENCE to know which one is different."
On the character stats of her dungeons and dragons character sheet, she scribbled a '7' in the box.
"And then when you had finally shown you're able to make it on your own, you went back to being in Teo's palm again. Helping him even win the cruiserweight championship believing it belongs to both of you when your name is only written once in the championship history. WISDOM would show you that the belt only belongs to one man at a time!"
She jotted down a '6' in the wisdom modifier box.
"But despite it all, you have remained strong. You've gone through hell being the shield of your best friend, defended yourself against adversity, and even managed to win the big one. It's fair to say you have a strong CONSTITUTION hence why you're useful to others."
Serenity wrote a '15' in the constitution box.
"But despite all that power and speed, you're still not at the top. Compared to everyone at Evolution V when you had the chance to defeat Teo, Finet, and Blaze in Hell in a Cell, you were short again. Your STRENGTH and DEXTERITY were simply not good enough!"
She marked a '9' for the strength box and an '8' for the dexterity box.
"Which leaves the final statistic you use on everyone. Always smiling and lolly-gagging as if everything is a joke to you hence why you're good at deceiving others about the horrible reality you're living. Very persuasive on influencing others to believe Teo is your best friend rather than your dungeon master!"
She takes the 20-sided die in her hand and rolls it onto the character sheet.
"Of course, natural twenty!"
Serenity faked joyful applause before writing it down on the CHARISMA portion of the character's stats section. She rolled her eyes and leaned back against the chair with he arms folded.
"Jenson. You need to wake up. Everything you have done in Action Wrestling of note has been tied to Teo Blaze. From the cruiserweight tag team championships down to the cruiserweight championship itself. He has been the one to pull your strings and you don't even realize it."
"You've proven you can be on your own yet you choose to believe he is your best friend."
"Maybe you know this is what your character flaw is. Nothing more than a lesser to a superior."
She stood up from the desk and held the book in her hands before sitting down at the edge of her bed looking at the cover.
"Dungeons and Dragons but for your case, we should call it the Damsel and Distress."
Serenity dropped the book in a nearby trash can.
"I've defended you, Jenson. I've watched you and thought you were unique but now I see you're downright pathetic. You're stuck in this fantasy game that you've lost control of reality itself."
"You don't know the real Teo as my family does but I'll help you see it when I beat you and he's not there to save you as you saved him."
Serenity walked over to the table again and held the twenty-sided die in her hand rolling it in between her fingers.
"Once again, you've become another pawn in his game."
She rolled the die and it landed on a '1'.
"A critical failure."
