Building a Legacy of Her Own
Here we are again, another show has passed and STILL the Action Wrestling's Television Champion, Alexandra Calaway. It's an accomplishment. It's something I didn't expect to happen so early in my time with the company, but it's clear to anyone with eyes, that she was the best in the division and yes, it was a title that kept her on her toes. She had to be ready at any point. From the moment Alexandra won the Television Title, she got a giant target on her back. Competitors came at her from every side. Every single person who stepped up, fell at her feet. This week would be no different than the last four weeks she had been through. Challengers step up... Challengers fall. Adding another name to her list would be a pleasure.
A new challenger appears, Marcus Collins. Where does the talent handlers find these bozo men. Fresh out of Rikers Island. Here comes some new guy with a chip on his shoulder, believing he's Gods Gift to professional wrestling, all because he won a singular match. This guy comes in and suddenly he believes he's the one that deserves this title, because he beat someone who.. let's face it, wasn't fit to lace the boots of those still training in developmental. There as nothing for her to fear with Marcus, was he big? Sure.. but that had never stopped her before. There's always a way to knock down even the biggest of men and she had done it several times before. And should she lose her Television title tonight, she already had another vision in mind.. another step for her, the World Championship.
The Truth is painful
Alexandra is seen clapping as the camera comes up on her. A cocky smirk crosses her features as she begins to speak, her Television Title, resting on her shoulder.
"Congratulations Marcus, look at you.. we are all so proud of you." She rolls her eyes and continues, shaking her head slowly. "You beat Niobe.. good for you. Come see me when you've beaten three other individuals in one match, in order to get a shot at MY title. I have spent weeks defending this title and I will continue to do so, you wont be the one that claims it from me."
She shifted the title to her other shoulder. She shook her head, trying to run through all the companies in her mind that she had ever been to or heard of in all of her years doing this. She thought of all the wrestlers names she heard of or knew, but she had never heard of Marcus Collins, or anything he had ever done. After tonight, she would never have to really think about or worry about him again. Once he was humiliated by losing to her.
"I'm sorry but who are you? Oh that's right, another nobody who wants to play in the big leagues. When you step into that ring with me, you are getting in there with a woman who isn't afraid to hurt you. Niobe took it easy on you. Niobe let you dip your feet in the water, I will fucking drown you in it."
Another moment to pause really taking the time to think about her next comment. What she would say over the next few moments would be the last things she needed to say about her opponent.
"If you haven't noticed, it's MY name on the card for Uprising. And should I lose the title there.. I know where I'm going next. I've been holding back, I've been sitting here playing in a small pond. It was only a matter of time, start at the bottom, when you make it to the top, you find a new appreciation for what you got. You got the job done against Niobe last week.. you managed to beat up on a tiny little woman. Wow.. so impressive, I'm sure your whore of a mother is so proud of you. Congratulations on whipping someone who barely reaches your chest. Something to be proud of."
She rolled her eyes once more, before laughing out loud.
"Every second I sit here talking to you.. I'm wasting my valuable time. Time that can be better spend preparing to end your dreams of getting MY title. But I've got bigger and better people I want to speak to in this moment. You are nothing to worry about."
With that she took another deep breath, this time, she focused on Addy. She had approached Alexandra in catering after her match last week, so it was time, she spoke on the topic.
"Addy, babe.. I got mad respect for you girl. You stepped up.. you caught me off-guard. That wont happen again Princess. You see.. when you step into that ring with me at Uprising.. you are getting me at one hundred percent. You aren't getting some watered down version of me. People have said I've been holding back, that I'm not doing what they know I am capable of doing. So, I do hope you understand that what happens to you at Uprising.. has been a build up of everything that has ever happened to me since I came here."
One more momentary pause as she held her title up to the camera, her eyes cold, calculated and steady in their gaze.
"First, I'm going to destroy Marcus Collins and then I will see you at Uprising. Both of you, say your prayers to whatever it is that you believe in.. because the Dream Killer is on her way. And after that.. it's lights out."
With that Alexandra walks off the camera, the last thing we see is a hand reaching out a door and grabbing Alexandra around the waist, pulling her into the room. The camera man tries to follow, however there's an audible click of the lock and silence.
