Dorian walks up to a fire pit and smiles at the crackling flames. He interlocks his fingers and turns his head towards the camera. Mr. Jay, I’m excited for our meeting at the beginning of the new week. Monday’s always give me a feeling of renewal, the feeling that time somehow has reset for the next 7 days and whatever happened previously is no longer relevant. It’s a chance at redemption. A chance at turning a new leaf in such a short amount of time. He circles the fire pit and picks up a decent sized log and tosses it into the pit, causing the flames to grow. It’s akin to this fire pit, Mr. Jay. it begins to falter and disappear the longer you let it sit there. Throw in a log, sticks, anything really and it’ll grow and be right back to its full strength. All it takes is a little help from whomever may be tending to it. That’s what Mondays feel like, Mr. Jay. The resurrection of your flame. He begins walking towards the camera, leaving the fire in the background. Now, only the silhouette of Dorian can be seen with the orange bright light of the fire lined up perfectly behind him. I know you’d like to hurt me and ‘prove yourself’ to everyone, and I get it. I really do, you want to eventually be the best, be champion. First, you have to come to terms with who you really are, Mr. Jay. You’re a nobody that no one will even blink an eye at or even consider you as a real performer in this company. Not me though, I believe you really can shoot to the top if you can find who you truly are deep inside. You’re a fighter and a natural athlete, and most importantly you have heart. You have all the tools to be the best in the Cruiserweight Division but you miss one tool, the most important one you could possibly possess. Mental Stability. Dorian points to the dark sky which is covered in beautiful gleaming stars. The camera goes to the side of him to catch a great shot of Dorian staring straight up at the sky. Those. Those beautiful stars are what my dream is. I want to be able to reach them and become the only person in history to do so. Is it possible? Not yet, but it will be because I’m going to manifest the possibility into existence. What are your dreams, Mr. Jay? Do you have any? If you don't, just know I can help you manifest them. Weave them. I feel as though your dreams are at ground level. Down here, by my feet with the dark grass. Your dreams could be up there! With mine! Your dreams must go further than just winning championships, Mr. Jay. You must think past that and only dream things that seem inconceivable to your peers. You can make the impossible happen with my help and the will to want to push towards greatness. Dorian begins walking again, this time towards a small lake in the middle of the compound. There’s a small dock that goes out into the water that Dorian begins walking down. He reaches the end of the dock and stares at the water where you can see the gorgeous reflection of the moon. If you don’t want to take my hand that I have reached out to you, then I’ll just have to drown your dreams because at that point you won’t be salvageable. I want to help you, I don’t want to hurt you, Mr. Jay. If you refuse me then I will have no choice but to do so because you forced my hand by not shaking it. Join me here in my compound and you will never feel that kind of pain that I have to serve to those who are unwilling. The Lost Causes I like to call them. Don’t be one of them, Mr. Jay. Join me in my crusade to save… everyone. Several ‘Dreamers’ join Dorian at the end of the dock wearing black night gowns. They all stare at the moon in the water together. |
