Hey folks, narrator here, back once again with a day in the life of the Two Gents. Today, well, we’re Teoless. Teo is off doing something else that he’s not told Jenson about so Jenson is left to his own devices. And what happens with Jenson is left to his own devices? Well surprisingly, he’s being responsible and training. Now naturally you’d expect a wrestler training in a wrestling ring doing wrestling things, which is fine. However Jenson is on a field in a full suit of armour practising wrestling moves against his personal trainer, Bob.
Bob doesn’t usually wear armour, he’s struggling. “Jesus Christ, Andre. Why are we in these infernally heavy things?” Bob pants.
“Stamina training bro, now throw a drop kick!” Jenson demands, as if it’s completely normal for a guy to throw a dropkick in 100lbs of armour. Bob tries, gets slightly off the ground and collapses in a heap.
“Close!” Jenson declares in glee, as he flips his visor up. Bob does the same, albeit slightly more slowly.
“Let’s take a breather,” Bob says. “Why are we going so hard anyway? You’ve never been so intense in training, well, not enough to wear a full suit of armour anyway.”
“Gotta be in perfect shape for BattleBowl Bob.” Jenson replies excitedly. He has a plan and damn well he’s sticking to it.
“You’re already at the top of your game, you don’t need much more!”
“I need that extra 11%. You see, Teo and I go into every single match and give 110% effort to go in there and win, we give 110% effort to ensure we are the best tag team we can be and to ensure that we go away with either the win or make sure the opponents damn well were in a fight. Now I know that Teo will go in with that 110% effort, I know Karlie will go in with a 110% effort because Karlie is Karlie at the end of the day, nothing Karlie does is half baked. She goes in with Maximum effort and reaps the rewards. It’s how Canadians are.”
“American.”
“Yeah, potato, potato. Either way, I gotta go at 111% to win this match for the Gents, or at least to show everyone that the Miracle of Milwaukee wasn’t a miracle after all and it was just me being me. After all, I go into this match with more to prove than both of them combined. Especially when people are questioning Teo’s state of mind right now. I have been asked dozens of times whether Teo cares about the Gents, with his breaking the pin and more lately the whole accidentally clocking Karlie with the belt thing. People are suggesting he’s turning bad! Which I don’t believe for a second, after all, if he wanted to stack the decks against Karlie and guarantee him defending his title the last thing he would have done would be to add me to it by helping me beat Karlie, that makes zero sense.
He doesn’t need my help to beat Karlie, we’ve beaten her together about a thousand times now so the whole “He needs my help to do it” thing is nonsense. If anything his accidental inclusion of me to the match makes it harder already by a factor of 83% for him to personally win.”
“How do you figure that?”
“He’s never beaten me in a wrestling match, bless him. We’ve faced each other twice to my knowledge and I won both of those, bringing me into the fray makes it exponentially more difficult.
Same with Karlie, adding me to the match makes it even harder for her to come out of it with the title, after all she’s gotta get through two Gents, both of who can soundly beat her at any time, including last week when I beat her for the 3 count.
To put a long story short Bob, this perennial underdog, the guy who seems to be overlooked by everyone who’s not Teo, is going into this match with confidence and vigour. I’m going to give it 111% and show the world yet again that I’m nobody's sidekick. I am an equal Gent.
