"They're going to say whatever they can to make themselves believe they are one to win Battlebowl. They'll constantly set a story or a false path amplifying their victories, shadowing their defeats. I don't blame them. They should honestly. A match of multiple competitors involving decorated former world champions, current champions, and hopeful breakout athletes. They all have a distinction among one another to stake their victory claim. What do I have? It's simple. The one thing no one else has in this bout. The one thing that means anything throughout history which speaks volumes forever to come. Legacy."
NARRATIVE.
"Don't throw stones in a glasshouse. I wonder what would happen if I threw one in the glass museum?"
There was the teenage champion alone in a showcasing of the modern art of glass and creativity. Tacoma's landmark of the glass museum was occupied by the weakening tourism harbored down from the extra security measures. Serenity paced herself slowly as her golden eyes comforted the art pieces with curiosity but she could never fully grasp the idea of an abstract piece.
"I probably shouldn't. Security would maul me but I wouldn't advise it for the other competitors in this match. After all, there are so many fallacies and hypocrisy radiating from each one. Regardless, I'm a clean slate. A blank canvas slowly painted into a masterpiece that hopefully could be displayed here in the future. Art is appreciated over history and what better art than Serenity Holmes winning the 2022 Battlebowl?"
Serenity stood before an abstract yet the flamboyant design of a mountain where only a man stood on it. Her eyes narrowed and she poised a little hesitant to view the full piece.
"Yet my opposition would prefer differently. Who else would have something to say right? Jessie Lee, my former partner in the qualifiers will have an inkling of what I did to her on Casino Night. I beat her to become the new Action Wrestling Women's Champion in just my third match and she's been down on a spiral. I saw the look on her face, the look of shock and awe. It wasn't because a rookie defeat her, no. It was because she was the underdog in a championship match that belonged to her. I took that from her."
She sighed, pursuing to leave Jessie in the past.
"But even as women's champion, I still owe her a potential rematch. I wish it was true if she hadn't lost to Romeo Finet. The truth of the matter is that Jessie's loss to him was a domino effect from upstaging the supposed underdog in our match. I broke her fighting spirit which led to Romeo's wise. His first win in Action Wrestling sported the chance for him to be in the Battlebowl alongside many others but he has no chance. He's capitalizing on everything due to picking up the scraps I left behind along with being the unfortunate dead weight Odin had to carry for him to be even in this match. As much as I like Romeo, he's nothing worthy to strike a threat to anyone."
She continued on her crusade studying more of the art presentations down the single file. Her demeanor of confidence boosted as every art piece became clearer in her self-interpretation.
"But then there's Alice Gemini. I like that name. Alice in Wonderland would sure have a run for her money but the rabbit hole for her isn't as deep as we thought. There's nothing significant about Alice who has been lost for a while in the cruiserweight division. I'm sure being with Ash Blake had helped her confidence to finally muster up some courage and strength to be relevant for once. Knowing her, she's probably upset that my rise in our division made her question whether she is a key player or not. Unfortunately, Battlebowl will only prove she's never been anything close to where I've been in this mix. It's going to hurt her but she'll come back if she ever learns that there's always a better wrestler than her. I'm that wrestler and I'll be ready for her if she ever wants a shot at my title."
But coming to this person, Serenity rolled her eyes. From watching this opponent for a long time, she's always felt disgusted by her actions and attitude. It's no doubt she wanted to make her pay.
"Adelaide Ainsworth gave herself the self-crowned title of baddest bitch in the game by beating Jessie. However, when I defeated Jessie, I became a recognized champion. It's sad though Addy A. You've been in Action Wrestling and the cruiserweight division has been the only chance of you breaking out. You're a former CBS Champion, multiple-time tag-team champion with the Swallowing but I can't help wonder how it felt to be the on and off toxic sister of Lissie Hope. The one-woman you've been hot and cold with because you're too stubborn in your trailer home trashy ways to look past your vulgar tongue to understand that your acclaimed sister has been using you this entire time. When you faced Frank Patrick Venable for the World Championship, who came right there to steal the spotlight away? Lissie and how did she make it up to you? The Swallowing. Isn't it funny how it would be her face on all the posters, merchandise and you'd be in the background? It's funny to me at least. That's why I would love to see how the dynamic of the Battlebowl would turn out because we'd both know through history that if the opportunity presented itself, you wouldn't hesitate to take her down. Don't worry Addy. A bad bitch's weakness is always a toxic relationship."
And although she spoke these words from a harsh tongue, a smirk emerged down the viewing of more arts in her craft. Serenity chuckled under her breath and the willow air around her thickened.
"And this is what you were taught because Lissie knows the same. She didn't know any better. Lissie Hope said that she saw similarities in me playing mind games when all her career is her hiding the insecurity that she can't be on her own. From the Royal Family, The Swallowing, Philidor, she's never been able to substantiate any noticeable success despite she's a two-time former world champion, a former All-In winner, United States champion, and your former tag team champion. Lissie has this unhealthy obsession with being in the spotlight so whenever she wins, she has to make the whole world but whenever she loses, she'll throw the blame on someone else. She craves attention, she buries herself into deep despair of being loved that it's almost sad. Hence why when Corey Bull and Cassidy Adler ruined her life, did you not see how fired up she was? She got turned on. It's no wonder why she's putting everything into Battlebowl because she misses being the center of attention. Unlike her, I'm that just naturally. I respect Lissie but her time has been done and she can hire her graphics team to make another sad vignette of her playing victim. I'll be busy moving onto Havoc proving once again why she was never fit to be in the main event picture. Just sheer dumb luck."
It was really hard for her to control her true feelings on a professional critique about Lissie but she didn't blame her.
"And Ash, you're responsible for Lissie's current predicament. I watched you lead Philidor Holdings and create this false sense of security for her. Right now, even as the Hardcore Championship is being threatened by Cedrone who you enjoy tormenting, you're not going to get your deranged ways into this match. I've watched you lie, cheat, steal, torment, and use others to your advantage but when their use ran out, you threw them away for your benefit. You're a former world champion too who is responsible for possibly Shaw becoming champion as well but we all see the type of person you are. You're a twisted son of a bitch who spews lies and deceit, speaking in riddles to pretend you're this God. No one is Ash and I promise you you're going to suffer a big pain of karma when I bash your face into the mat and toss you over that top rope. I want to see Ash Blake, one of the most dangerous athletes on the roster, falling to a rookie who will not succumb to your manipulative ways. Ash. Bring everything. I want it all and I want to see you fall to your knees on a whim knowing you gave it your all and it still wasn't enough. I want the same fire, grueling destruction, and poison you spewed when you ended the reign of Johnny Bacchus. Please do it because hell has a special place for you and giving you an all-expense-paid trip."
And rounding closer to the final section of the showing, there was a small room where the glass artifacts reflected the light around which portrayed an amazing array of dancing sunlight.
"Odin Balfore. This is what you've come to now. Berating and disrespecting women? You're a former world champion in Action Wrestling and WCF. Former united states- screw it. You're a legend in this business and you've been reduced to every pathetic male podcast that speaks about the red pill or being high value. Honestly, I could see why people would make fun of my father beating on women because it's pathetic how you're best performances lately have been the childish behavior of making fun of Tatiana Jolee. It's okay Odin. I see how it is. I see how you present yourself as a titan but here's how I know you're not. A long time again, my father won the WCF Hardcore Championship for the second time and you were his first title defense. Everyone thought it was over but in the end, despite all the low blows and terrible things you said, you lost to a Holmes. That victory over you will always happen as he retired as the final WCF Hardcore Champion. I know you'll bring that up and say you want to remedy that? Do it. I want you to come for me because it's going to be very satisfying when the Women's Champion eliminates you and shows you that you're nothing man a prick who overcompensates for coming up short in more than one way."
She stepped in the middle of where it shined brightest surrounded by a bouquet where a glass stool was planted in the ground for her to sit on. The caressing touch of the light against her cheeks was the perfect portrait of the final art piece. Her.
"So everyone here will say what they have to say. They'll tell their stories, paint their narratives and line up the perfect picture. The common theme with Serenity Holmes will be my father but that's it. Our family is the catalyst for the Battlebowl of 2022 and while everyone else will demean our household name, it's the reason they all are here. From Jessie Lee losing the women's championship to me to Odin Balfore failing to beat my father. It's the perfect domino effect and that's why Battlebowl is my canvas."
She closed her eyes for a minute and took in the silence. Serenity's eyes reopened and it was lit with a fire that had grown for the biggest match of her career.
"I'm the legacy. My name is what matters and my canvas has begun while everyone else's has been smeared and spat on. I'm ready to prove that I am the future by destroying all who ruined their own. Go ahead, say what you want about me, disrespect me, my father, and our family name. The truth is this and this applies to everyone else in the Battebowl.
There is no place like Holmes."
