**--The scene opens up inside a huge room. The camera turns to the left and through the windows we have a panoramic view of Atlantic City. The camera turns to the right and through those windows we have a beautiful view of the beaches and Atlantic Ocean! Standing at the window, dressed in a black suit with a stiff drink in his hand is Jonny Cedrone. The cameraman slowly walks up behind Jonny when into camera shot and to Jonny’s left side saunters Gloria, dressed in a beautiful form-fitting red dress. She leans her head on his shoulder and wraps her arms around his waist. Jonny takes his free arm and hand and wraps it around her, and leans his head onto the top of her head. They stand there, watching the waves slapping the shore--**
“Looking forward to your match with Ash Blake on Monday night baby?”
“I sure am Princess! I have a lot of revenge to dish out to her and I look forward to every bit of it!”
**--With that Jonny turns to face his wife and takes her in his arms. They share a kiss before slowly walking away from the window and off camera hand-in-hand. The scene fades to black then then fades back into the Cedrone penthouse condo. Now we're in the evening time. The city is lit up beautifully giving the room an extra glow. Instead of seeing Jonny standing at the window, we see him sitting on his couch looking out over the city. The camera slowly zooms in on Jonny from behind as he speaks.--**
“Atlantic City. A city rich in history. A history of crime. A history of violence. A history…of death. It’s a city that has been run by the rich & the powerful, the corrupt & the intimidating and at the expense of the powerless, the voiceless and the sick. Not much different than you is it Miss Blake?”
**--The camera has now arrived in front of Cedrone who’s now leaning forward with his elbows on his knees, looking directly into the camera--**
“October 17th, 2021. Execution. You defeated –the now returning – Bracchus to become the Hardcore Champion and you haven’t looked back. Not yet anyway. You’ve turned back challenge after challenge. You’ve done whatever you’ve had to do to keep that Championship. You’ve paid whatever price you’ve had to pay. That Championship means more to you than life itself doesn’t it Miss Blake? I mean any self-respecting Champion would answer that with a resounding ‘yes’ and not have to think twice about it.”
“I respect that about you.”
“Oops. I forgot. Showing respect to someone is a bit of a taboo in your book, isn’t it Miss Blake? I guess I should just continue this promo by doing the stereotypical ‘I hate you. I’m better than you. On Monday night, I’m going to kick your ass!’ style of wrestling promo?”
**--Jonny chuckles and dismissively throws his hand towards the camera then leans back onto his couch, rests his right leg up onto the left knee and his left arm on the back of the couch--**
“Last week on the Clash, I was involved in my first step towards the World Championship. Tagging with Claire Hawkins, I took on the absolutely amazingly athletic Jessie Lee and a girl whose future is so bright she needs to wear sunglasses 24/7, Serenity Holmes in a Battlebowl tag team match. For those who missed out on the always tremendous action of Action Wrestling last week, Miss Hawkins and I didn’t get the win. Jessie Lee and Serenity Holmes were the better team that night without question. Now…outside interference didn’t hurt their chances of winning, did it Miss Blake?”
**--Jonny sports a bit of a frustrated look on his face as he looks away from the camera for a moment then back into it--**
“That seemed a little ‘fatal attraction’ to me Miss Blake. I’m really flattered…really! I am…but I’m happily married and wouldn’t dare to even think about ruining such a good thing! I know that I tend to have that effect on some women…I just never got that vibe from you. I never thought that I would be anywhere near your type to be honest with ya but apparently I got your attention. Good, bad or indifferent I guess.”
“On one hand I’m furious. You cost me a chance to go on and fighting for the World Championship. And what reason would you have to do that? Jealous? Jealous of the fact that I bypassed you, actually kinda forgot about you to be honest, and was going after bigger and better things instead of focusing on you? But on another hand I’m happy that you decided to stick your nose where it didn’t belong. I have paybacks in store for you but besides that, you and I haven’t had the proper meeting that we rightfully deserve. We’ve met in a whirlwind. Chaos was everywhere. But now that the Man of Chaos isn’t around, you and I can create our own chaos. And I’m sure we will!”
**--Jonny uncrosses his leg and leans forward once again--**
“Let’s break down the reasons why I owe you payback and why you’ll pay for your sins soon Miss Blake! First and foremost, you feel that I’m not worthy to be here. You feel that I don’t’ deserve to breathe the same air as you in these hallowed halls of Action Wrestling. You feel that I’m beneath you. Then I had the opportunity to show you and the rest of the locker room that I not only deserve to be here but that I can thrive in this company and become one of the elite. At Revolution 5 I was involved in a fight with you and Zolton over the Hardcore Championship. And let’s face it, you and I both know that I had Zolton beat! Your Hardcore Championship was as good as mine! Then you came up from behind, knocked me out and stole the win. You let me do the dirty work then you came in like a cat burglar and took my win from me. Then once again, just a few short days ago, you decided to attack me from behind again to prevent me from moving past you; to prevent me from forgetting about you.”
“Trust me Miss Blake. I haven’t forgotten about you. I’m sure you’ve heard it a thousand times; ‘I’m going to make you pay for what you did! I’m going to hurt you like you hurt me!’ I’m gonna do this. I’m gonna do that. Yadda yadda yadda. Same ol’ story. Same ol’ song and dance my friend. It’s actually quite fitting that our first one-on-one encounter is taking place right here in Atlantic City. This is the place where I went off the deep end once. This is the place where that mean streak of mind was emboldened. I haven’t always been this ‘White Knight’ that you see Miss Blake. Let me take you down memory lane. One night many moons ago, I was in yet another company: Boardwalk Wrestling. This night in particular I was booked against a poor, unsuspecting enhancement talent. Leading up to this night I was made to feel that I didn’t belong in that company either. Frustrated with how things were going in my career and frustrated to feel the way that I was feeling, I took out my frustrations on this poor kid. He was just so excited to meet me in the ring; to ‘learn’ from a veteran such as myself. The thanks that kid got? Broken bones, concussions, a few nights in the hospital and disdain for his once favorite wrestler. The guilt I’ve been living with since that night has been insurmountable. Miss Holmes, if you see this I hope you can find it in your heart to forgive me. It wasn’t much but I did pay his hospital and doctor bills and still pay for anything he may need.”
“Now, Miss Blake, did I tell you this story expecting you to have pity on me? Hell no. I don’t think pity is a word in your vocabulary. The moral of this story is that if I can do that to an unsuspecting enhancement talent that did nothing to me…what do you think I can do to someone who’s done me wrong at least twice? What do you think I can do to someone that is trying to prevent me to move up in this company? Well…right now my focus is on you, that Hardcore Championship and showing you that you’re not this invincible Champion that you may think you are Miss Blake and to make you pay for your sins…no matter what it takes.”
“At Monday Night Clash, tables of all sorts will be broken. Your spirits? They’ll be dashed. The ante is high and I plan on cashing out as the big winner…at any and all costs.”
