"Well, another year and another Battlebowl lies on the horizon. I wonder if I will at least be allowed to have ONE competent partner this year."
Fading in we see the CBS Champion sitting upon a stool beneath a single spotlight; vintage. With the Championship resting on her lap and several papers in her hand, it was clear she was getting as much information she could.
"Jonny Cedrone. Seems like he could be a worthwhile partner in these rounds of tag matches.......then again so had the OTHER two I ended up teaming with last year. Guess We'll have to wait and see if was worth the money it took to bring him in. There have been a plethora of investments that never pan out in the end. Oddly enough, it's generally the ones that focus on their sex appeal that fade away the fastest. Guess we shall just have to see, won't we?"
Balling up the piece of paper with one hand, the Raven-haired wretch tossed it over her shoulder without so much as a care.
"Jessie Lee. Has potential in the future, but as of now, she's little more than a second-rate Ainsworth. Maybe she'll learn to spread her wings once Revolution One finally dies; again."
Repeating her previous action, Claire tossed aside the balled-up sheet that presumably held information on Jess Lee; leaving one. Yet, instead of carrying on like she had the two previous, Claire merely lowered the paper she held and fixed the camera with that crimson-eyed glare of fire and ice.
"Serenity Holmes, Daughter of the almighty Andre Holmes and the self-proclaimed future. A hybrid style that takes and hones the best of each and grandiose ambitions to match. Sadly, despite her perpetual need for attention on Twitter there truly isn't a single thing that separates her from the other hundreds of second-generation wrestlers that flood the industry. The styles are the same. The attitudes are the same. The brainless ideology is the same. The unfounded arrogance IS the same. Yet, the most similar thing of all? Being handed UNEARNED opportunities. Defeating Dark Kent wasn't any special nor something that one should parade around as proudly as she had. Not due to him being unskilled in any way, but because people fractured or dark personalities run just as rampant as second-generation competitors that it's nearly impossible to differentiate between them."
"I expected more."
"Then again, I'm sure that is the very same line of thinking that people have when they talk about me nowadays. I may hold the CBS Championship and the only Four-time Television Champion to date, but people have made it clear that if there isn't a world championship to your name then you're nothing more than an outdated relic that was never meant to be anything more than a punching bag; a stepping stone; to the stars and future stars. Yet, this line of thinking only shows just how little they understand. Oh, they fully believe the delusions and they would die by them, but what good is being raised by wolves when you're swimming with sharks?"
With a flick of her wrist, the final piece of paper burst into flame that seemed to burn so hot that there wasn't anything left of the sheet within a matter of seconds. Yet, Hawkins did not appear to be burned nor fazed by how alarming the little even might have been. It just was normal!
"People will repeat the words that have proven to draw other's attention and they will parrot every basic half-assedly constructed opinion even if they should run the risk of becoming nothing more than faceless drones that fade into the background. GO ahead, tell me that young Miss Lee and Holmes didn't nearly mimic the BattleKat's words; or even Donovan Raynes; words verbatim. Yet, despite the words they'll puppet, they will never understand what it takes to even MAKE it into the Battle Royal. They'll never understand what it feels like to be passed over or having to go with two separate partners only to still. not make it."
"They don't understand a single thing."
"But I do; I, more than ANYONE else in this match understand what is at stake and just how willing I am to do whatever it takes to get that second opportunity in the Battle Royal. I don't care if I have to carry our broken bodies to the next round, but Cedrone and I shall be moving on to the next round."
A Wail; the end
