Hey folks, narrator here. Back once again with the continuing adventures of the Two Gents. Andre and Teo are currently carrying a bunch of loose papers in Jenson’s office. Quite why was never explained to me or Teo, but we are where we are.
“So Teo” Jenson says, “we’re facing Salem Croft and Romeo Finet this week. Back on the horse to win back the tag titles. Let’s talk strategy.
“Andre..” Teo begins, but is cut off by Jenson.
“So Salem right? He’s just come a hellacious triple threat where Kaine just rocked up and messed everything up - you know like the Slug God of Huratica? Salem was just about to be beaten handily by Terra and BOOM. He got lucky and it ended in a no contest.
Romeo just came off a draw with Bolas and he’s SO annoyed by it. He gave this face, right!” Jenson makes an angry face at Teo.
“I have to tell… Wait, he wears a mask!”
“Yeah? So did you at one point but I knew what your facial expressions were at all times. After all we’re so in sync nothing you can do will shock me at all! There is literally nothing that you can do or say which will surprise me at all. Ever.”
“OK, well, I need....”
But yeah, Bolas is the interesting one, with Romeo - they got this thing going on and, well, I think it’s best to just stay out of it. I know Bolas well enough that he can handle his own stuff. I know that if he has a problem with Romeo he’ll sort it out on his own, which is why I am confused as to the match up - why put the Two Gents against Romeo and Salem? Obviously it’s to show the world that our tag team's mighty credentials are still there and we’re back on the road, but still. I’d have thought AW would put Romeo in a match with Bolas. It makes no sense to put him against us unless they’re a tag team now. Which kinda doesn’t make sense as they are two completely opposite individuals.
After all Salem is just this fan right? He came out and he was all “Oh Teo this, oh Karlie that, I’m gonna be the face of the cruiserweights. It’s amazing that he, and, well, pretty much everyone forgets that we’re a team. We built the Cruiserweight tag division together, we main evented the biggest night of them all together. We did it, as equals. So I am not a fan of Salem just coming straight out and name dropping you. Hell, come to think of it, even Romeo did it. Wow. What jerks. I’m positively vexed at this. I’m not a silent partner and we’ll show them this on Monday when we go into that ring together as equals that I, Andre Jenson, can punch just as hard and last just as long as you. With our combined might of equally weighted punches we’ll take these guys out and show just why we are still the most magnificent duo on this show. We’ll give it our all and…”
“Andre, you’re teaming with Bolas this week. I got another match.”
Papers go flying as Jenson throws the sheaf of papers he was carrying in his hands up in the air in surprise.
“Oh that’s why we were carrying them, I see.” Says Teo.
“What do you mean “teaming with Bolas?” Jenson asks. “Are you putting on a Bolas mask, talking about Spider balls? He used to be the king of all media you know. Or something like that, he did some sort of media thing, so I’m still not convinced he isn’t you anyway.” Teo hands Jenson the stack of papers he’s carrying.
“After all, he’s tenacious, hits like a truck, is immensely likeable and would be a great person to invite around the island one day.” Jenson looks shiftily at Teo, narrows his eyes. “UNLESS HE’S ALSO HERE!” Papers go flying again after Teo shakes his head somberly. It’s clear to Jenson that Teo is not in fact Bolas.
“Oh come on! Gentsless tag teaming? What the *bleep*” (Thanks Profanity guy).
