Kitsumi is thrown into the brick wall by Minami. The back of her head narrowly avoids smacking against it.
Despite this show of violence, Kitsumi’s serene smile remains on her face.
“You’ve got a lot of nerve to show up here,” the blonde says.
“But Minami, I was just walking—”
Minami punches the wall next to Kitsumi’s head before she can finish her sentence.
“Shut the fuck up. You think we don't know that it was you? Anybody with a fucking brain can see that. We just don’t know how there’s no evidence. Whatever. All that matters is if I ever see you around me again, I will not hesitate to blast you on sight.”
Kitsumi’s smile widens.
“Taking after Hideyo, I see?”
She is lifted off the ground and breathing suddenly becomes an impossibility.
Minami’s grip on her throat tightens as she is slammed back into the wall once again.
“Don’t you ever say her name again! You don’t deserve to have that name on your lips!”
“Minami.”
The hand lets go.
Kitsumi falls to her feet, leaning against the wall to regain her breath.
The smile never left.
She watches Minami turn towards Chinami. The brunette dons a smile of her own.
“Mommy’s calling…”
With a growl, Minami walks away, shouldering past Chinami and away from the alleyway they were isolated in.
Kitsumi doesn’t turn towards Chinami, who approaches.
“Your ally is proving a curious one.”
“Rod is a questioner.”
“He thinks that Minami is me, which is a momentary distraction. Control him…or he will regret what he might find.”
“I am not his keeper. I can’t say the same for you and your…‘friend’.”
“Hm.”
Point to Kitsumi.
Chinami puts her hand to the left of Kitsumi, wiping a bit of blood from Minami’s knuckles off the wall. She then wipes it on a few strands of Kitsumi’s hair before leaving.
Kitsumi is left alone, her serene smile still wide on her face.
“CruiserHavoc was a disaster.
Neither myself nor Roddy won the match.
We had lost our Tag Titles by having them stolen from us by Torture, failed to regain them in the match itself, neither of us were even close to getting the Cruiserweight Title proper, and now we’re seemingly shut out of ever regaining the titles we never lost.
But blessings come in disguises when you’re a Ruler of Our Kind.
An alliance is only as strong as their members, and whilst Roddy is off looking to win the Cruiserweight Title and finally begin his destiny proper, I find myself in a tournament to crown a new Women’s Champion.
Me!
A champion representing the women of AW!
I’m barely 19 years old, but here I am competing with other ladies older than I am in a tournament to prove who of us is the best.
Sure, it’s all at the whim of a detestable human being attempting some form of retribution for their past errors, but I suppose the destination matters more than the journey.
At least…it does when you’re destination is to be the best of any and all sorts.
Tag Team.
Cruiserweights.
Gender.
And in order to prove myself as the best of any of those, I will be winning this tournament.
But first I find myself against Krystal Halestorm. A woman who debuted at CruiserHavoc, was promptly eliminated, and has done nothing at all to stand out either as a woman worthy of this title or a wrestler worthy of mercy.
Nobody will blame me when I
Krystal, I am not a person to trifle with or to take lightly.
I take pleasure in choking out people in that ring, man or woman.
Ask Andre Jensen when we won the Tag Titles.
Ask Nikki Vaughn when we earned that shot.
Ask JC or Terra when we pinned them both when they were Cruiserweight Champions.
Drowned in Love isn’t just a name for my submission.
The smile suddenly turns vicious.
“Krystal thinks she can step to me and walk away the winner.
