Carter Shaw vs. Lissie Hope
Adilene Floyd: The following is scheduled for ONE FALL! Introducing first...
A guitar swell takes over the P.A. as the words "ALL IT TAKES" flash on the ActionTron until the guitar riff of "Angry Heart" By Otherwise kicks in, accompanied by the large screen filling with a 3D video of Carter Shaw punching through glass as if punching through the screen itself. Green strobe lights electrify the entrance stage as Shaw walks slowly out from the curtain with his head dropped, a hoodie pulled up over it. He stands still at the top of the ramp, the BOOs coming loudly from the crowd, as he slowly lifts his eyes up to meet the crowd, followed by removing the hood from his head.
Adilene Floyd: Coming to the ring, from Boston, Massachusetts...weighing in at 235 pounds, CARTEERRR SSHHAAAAAAAW!
He slowly turns in a 360, showing the "All It Takes" slogan across the front of the hooded sweatshirt. He bursts out from the stage with a momentary gritting of the teeth before letting his facial expression return to the typical calm. His piercing blue eyes look out over the crowd as he walks energetically into the ring, sliding in under the bottom rope. He walks in a circle along the ropes before hopping up to a middle turnbuckle, staring out aimless as he soaks in the crowd's reaction. He lets his body slowly fall backwards before dropping to his feet. He removes the hoodie, tossing it to ringside.
Chris Avery: This looks to be an intensely personal match, as we finally get some closure on the Philidor saga between two of their biggest prospects.Billy: All I know is, we're gonna need my meemaw's clothes line to hang out all this dirty laundry! Oooooo-wee!!Chris Avery: You know, sometimes, you speak like a normal person.Adilene Floyd: And his opponent...
“I’m the baaaaad guy…”
Crowd: DUH.
Billie Eilish’s “bad guy” hits the speakers and the fans are going absolutely nuts. The girls in the audience sing along to the music, dance along to the beats, holding up their signs of appreciation for the one and only Lissie Hope.
Adilene Floyd: Making her way to the ring, standing 5’5” and weighing 145 pounds… from New Orleans, Louisiana… THE BLACKHEART… LISSSSSSIIIIEEEEE HOOOOOOOOOPEEEEE.
Finally, the curtains spread to reveal the two-time World Champion, the two-time Woman of the Year, and former member of Philidor Holdings. She has a hop in her step as she moves from one end of the stage to the other, revving up the fans. Hundreds of signs of support line the crowd - “We love Lissie.” and “Blackheart.” and other variants - and Lissie takes a moment on the top of the stage to really soak it all in.
Chris Avery: The crowd is showing love for Lissie, despite her recent history with Philidor, they are so happy that she's embracing the fans again.Billy: Yeah, but if she wants to make amends for the bad times, she's gonna have to get right with a lot of people that feel screwed over!Chris Avery: Both of these competitors teamed for months as Philidor took on the world, and now they're gonna go head to head tonight! The referee orders the bell rung and Lissie and Carter circle each other warily. Lissie moves towards Shaw, who attempts to shoot in for a takedown, but Lissie dodges to the side and nails his bicep with a straight kick. Shaw grits his teeth and shakes his arm. He grapples Lissie again, but Lissie wrings his arm and snaps off several more kicks. Lissie wrings Shaw's injured arm, twisting it into a wristlock. Shaw grunts in pain. He reverses into a hammerlock on Lissie. Lissie twists and tries to escape his grasp, then stomps on his foot and elbows him with her free arm. Shaw finally releases the hold. Lissie goes for a kick, but he catches her foot, plants a hand on her chest, and shoves her away with force. Lissie simply rolls back into a crouched position, and the two of them come towards each other again. They grapple, and Shaw twists Lissie's arm into a wristlock. Lissie is able to perform a cartwheel to relieve the pressure on her arm, then she drops down for a leg sweep kick. Lissie applies a keylock on Shaw's arm. Shaw shakes his head in pain and attempts to elbow Lissie off. Lissie floats over into a front facelock, trying to choke him out, then she readjusts the hold and applies a rear chinlock wih her knee in Shaw's back.
Chris Avery: Great use of chain wrestling by Lissie to wear Shaw down, as if she's chipping away at the stone wall of his defenses.Billy: Lissie always takes my breath away and chips away at my defenses. ...By which I mean, I want to see her puppies!Chris Avery: You had it right up until that last sentence. As the crowd starts getting behind Lissie and Shaw, clapping for them, Shaw begins pulling himself up to a vertical base. He pushes Lissie off with force. Lissie comes right back at him, lighting him up with several kicks to the midsection, and then she grabs his arm and springs to the ropes, springing up onto the second rope and then hopping over the top rope while holding Carter's hand, and as she comes down she yanks his injured arm on the top rope with force. Shaw stumbles back, and holds his arm. Shaw comes back to the ropes to grab Lissie, but she gives him a shoulder thrust. Shaw drops to one knee, and Lissie runs off the ropes and as she comes back, she performs a short modified reverse hurricanrana to the doubled over Carter Shaw that drives him face first into the canvas. Lissie then locks on a Fujiwara armbar, yanking Shaw's injured arm and shoulder as she wrenches it upwards. The referee, holding a towel, asks Shaw if he gives up. Shaw refuses. Lissie bends his arm back at an uncomfortable angle, but Shaw still refuses to give up.
Chris Avery: Another smart key of Lissie's strategy is, that by taking away Shaw's arm, she eliminates his ability to hit his devastating array of lifting offense, such as the Simply Put.Billy: These two must have "sparred" together many a time at this pHit-Gym institution, so I'll bet Lissie knows a lot of moves that would be debilitating, nudge nudge wink wink.Chris Avery: Did you just say "nudge nudge wink wink" out loud.Billy: ...No.Lissie breaks off the hold, and using her boot, she pushes Shaw over to the corner under the bottom rope. Lissie walks to the outside, and she grabs Shaw's arm, flinging it with force under the bottom rope into the steel ringpost. Shaw yells with pain. Lissie gives him several more of these attacks with the ringpost. She places a boot on the ringpost itself and bends Shaw's arm so that it is being pulled back against the post. Shaw actually lets out a loud scream of pain. Lissie screams for him to give up. Finally, Lissie releases Shaw's arm. Shaw, grimacing in pain, crawls away from the corner, as Lissie gets back in the ring. Lissie stomps on Shaw's fingers. She grips his arm, trying to lift him up and twist the arm at the same time, but Shaw explodes with a clothesline from his free arm that flips Lissie completely over. Shaw gets to his feet, shaking out his injured arm. Shaw lifts Lissie up and performs a vertical suplex, then in a display of power lets his injured arm drop to his side as he holds her up in the air for several moments, before making Lissie crash back to the mat with force. Shaw lifts Lissie up and whips her off the ropes, giving her a one-armed version of a back body drop on the return. Shaw paces around, a determined expression on his face. Lissie gets to her feet, and Shaw boots her in the gut and goes to give her a DDT. Lissie spins out of it and wrings his arm. Lissie floats behind him with a hammerlock, but Shaw elbows her until she loosens the hold. Shaw runs her backwards until she is rammed into the turnbuckles with force. Lissie releases the hold, and Shaw pulls her out with one arm and plants her with a sidewalk slam. Shaw then nods to The referee, and he turns Lissie over and applies a modified camel clutch, wrapping Lissie's arms around her throat and pulling back. Lissie lets out a choked yell of pain.
Chris Avery: Despite the fact that his arm must be killing him to even move it, Carter Shaw still fights on.Billy: Haven't you heard? Carter Shaw doesn't quit. He'll do ALL IT TAKES. He's only said it fifty times. The referee asks Lissie if she gives up, but Lissie refuses. Shaw finally releases the hold after several more moments. He brings his backside down with force across Lissie's lower back. Lissie tries to get to her feet, but Shaw lifts her up, clubbing her relentlessly over the back with his good arm. Shaw jerks Lissie up, but Lissie reacts quicker, dropping Shaw across the top rope throat first. Shaw goes falling back. Lissie lifts Shaw up and plants him with a vertical suplex, flowing over for the pin.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Lissie begins making motions to the crowd, to get them fired up. Shaw is laid out on the mat, and Lissie begins ascending the turnbuckle. Lissie sets herself, and then flies off, looking for a moonsault, however at the last second Shaw rolls out of the way and Lissie hits chest first on the mat. Lissie begins rolling around holding her chest, and Shaw takes the opportunity to slide in and quickly roll through with an Oklahoma rollup pin.
The referee: One...
Two... Kickout.
Chris Avery: Jokes aside, these two know each other so well, and, despite how Philidor ended, there still seemed to be some common ground of respect between them. To have to bring that out in an ugly battle between them is heartbreaking.Billy: Yeah, yeah, like sand through the hourglass, so are the days of our lives... I wanna see them fight! Give me all the drama, all the angst, all the "I don't wanna fight you, Lissie!"Carter huffs a breath and shakes the cobwebs out, trying to regain his composure as he sits up, and he looks over at Lissie, who is rolling up and pushing herself up on her arms. Shaw comes in, gripping her by the head, and lifts her up on his shoulders, going for an air raid crash. Lissie wiggles her legs and slides off his shoulders, then as he turns around and charges at her but Lissie sweeps his legs from under him with a drop toehold, rolls through and maneuvers as if to lock in a rolling single leg Boston crab, but then she repositions the legs and applies a grapevine inverted bridging STF, or sickle hold. Shaw's eyes bug out of his head at being caught in this unexpected submission. The referee asks if he gives up, but Shaw refuses.
Chris Avery: There us so much on the line, so much pride at stake for the last two former members of Philidor... given all of the history between them when it all came down, it seems both of these two want to literally make the other quit.Billy: Exactly, no chairs or kendo sticks or blood or good stuff!Chris Avery: Sorry to disappoint you?Billy: I blame you, Avery!Lissie releases the hold, only to float over lock in a kimura. Shaw yells in pain as his wrist is wrenched. Lissie shouts that he has to give up. Shaw yells that he won't. Lissie simply tightens the hold. Several moments pass by. Finally, Lissie releases the hold. She shakes her head in frustration. Attempting to lift Shaw up, but he's too heavy. Lissie pounds on his injured shoulder. Shaw shoves her away. Lissie comes running back in and boots him viciously in the side of the head. Shaw stumbles and falls to the mat, facedown. Lissie stomps on his hand and then gives his arm a knee drop. Shaw yells and holds his arm in pain. Lissie motions for him to get up. As he gets to his feet, Lissie doubles Carter over with a spinning back kick to the midsection, then she runs off the ropes and hits a running variation of a double knee facebuster. Lissie then runs to the ropes, jumps up to the second rope and, as Carter starts getting back to his feet, takes him down with a signature tornado DDT. The crowd is starting a chant for Lissie.
Chris Avery: There's the Tornado DDT! Lissie is just raining down punishment on Carter Shaw.Billy: No doubt about it, she's sexy, but she is a man-eater.Chris Avery: I wonder where you got that one.Billy: You can thank the prophets Hall and Oates for that one, boyo.Lissie, instead of going for the pin, attempts to lift Shaw up. She starts to go for a reverse STO but Shaw elbows her off with his good arm. Lissie turns around and gets a back elbow. Lissie stumbles again, right into a back suplex. Shaw peels Lissie off the mat and gives her a harsh snap suplex. Lissie arches her lower back in pain. Shaw then applies a single leg Bostom crab, bending Lissie's leg back as far as it'll go. Lissie shouts in pain. Lissie tries to grab the bottom ropes out of instinct, but the ref tells her that by her own rules there are no rope breaks. Shaw pulls her back out into the middle of the ring anyway and sits back on the hold. Lissie screams in pain, and flails her arms. She grits her teeth to keep from shouting any more. Shaw finally gets back up, lifting Lissie up, and plants her with a sit-out Alabama slam. Shaw rolls his injured shoulder to try and get some feeling. He lifts Lissie up and starts to go for a double underhook, setting her up for Simply Put, but Lissie breaks free and brings both of her fists down on his injured shoulder. Shaw yells in pain and grips his shoulder. Lissie boots him in the gut to make him double over and drop to his knees. Lissie then runs off the ropes and goes for a bicycle kick to the chest, but he ducks the swing of the kick and before her momentum can carry her around, he lifts her up on his shoulders and grabs on, then drops her with a fireman's carry slam. Shaw then rests against the ropes, trying to get some feeling back in his arm.
Billy: I think Lissie may have finally found the chink in Carter Shaw's armor.Chris Avery: I wouldn't count him out just yet, Billy.Shaw motions that it's over, and he goes to the ropes, coming off with a sick-looking springboard spinning Trouble in Paradise that makes Lissie cut a flip.
Chris Avery: Shaw nails the Autograph!!Billy: He signed it right between the eyes!!Shaw doesn't waste a single second, recovering and getting to his feet. He then grabs Lissie's legs and tries to turn her over into a cloverleaf. Lissie resists with everything she has to keep him from locking her legs together. She reaches up and pounds on his head, then kicks him in the face a few times. Shaw simply stops trying to lock in the submission, then he grips both of her legs and falls back with a catapult, throwing her up into the corner. Lissie, however, is able to spring up at the last second and hop onto the second rope, then she resets herself and springs off the ropes, but she runs right into a big boot from Shaw that catches her in midair and nearly decapitates her. Lissie does a flip in midair, then flops to the mat. Shaw then grabs hold of her legs and locks her in a Mexican surfboard submission. The ref asks Lissie if she gives up, but Lissie refuses.
Chris Avery: You have to admire this girl's tenacity.Billy: I am admiring many things on her, but where is her tenacity located? Her ass?Chris Avery: Do you even know what "tenacity" means?Billy: No, I do not!Shaw pulls back on the hold until he is on his back, and Lissie's back is arched. He tells her to give up, but she frantically shakes her head as her mouth is stretched in a grimace of pain. Several long seconds stretch by in the hold, as Lissie's back is bent like a bow. Finally, Shaw breaks the hold. Shaw gets up and he piefaces Lissie, shoving her down and yelling "WHY DON'T YOU STAY DOWN, LISSIE??" Lissie, although dazed, looks up at him slowly, and a defiant expression crosses her face. Shaw picks Lissie up and he whips her into the ropes. Lissie ducks a clothesline and she stops dead in her tracks behind Shaw. Shaw turns around and he gets clocked by a bicycle kick right to the sternum. Lissie falls to the mat and both competitors are down. Lissie rolls over and drapes an arm over Shaw’s chest.
The referee: One….
Two….
Three... Kickout.
Chris Avery: I can’t believe Shaw was able to kick out!Billy: Lissie took too damn long to cover him. I don't know what's going on with her, as with Corey Black, we saw where she didn't have it in her to close the deal!Chris Avery: Conditioning wise, I think the longer this goes, the more it falls into Carter Shaw's game plan. Both competitors are down on the mat, Lissie staring blankly and questioning what is going on herself. At length, Lissie and Shaw both get to their feet. Shaw goes for a punch, but it is blocked. Lissie lands one of her own, firing up, that stuns Shaw. Lissie goes for an Irish whip, but Shaw counters. Shaw grabs the ropes as he hits them. Shaw charges at Lissie but Lissie drops down and Shaw tumbles over the ropes and to the floor. Lissie takes a second to recover. Outside, Shaw gets to his feet. In the ring, Lissie uses the ropes to catapult herself onto Shaw. Both fighters hit the floor but Shaw definitely gets the worst of it. Lissie stands up and he gives Shaw a very stiff kick to the ribs. Lissie lifts Shaw to his feet and then she throws Shaw back first into the steel steps. The referee is counting both of them out, and is at a count of five. Lissie lifts Shaw back to his feet and gives him a Simply Put double underhook on the floor! Shaw looks to be out!
Chris Avery: LISSIE WITH SIMPLY PUT! RIGHT ON THE CONCRETE!Billy: Shaw may be out cold!!Lissie is resting on the outside for a moment, but he is finally able to lift Shaw up and roll him into the ring. Shaw looks unconscious. Lissie stumbles, and holds herself up on the apron. Finally Lissie rolls into the ring, and slowly crawls over Shaw for a pin.
Billy: Wake up Shaw, don't let Lissie use her devil vagina magic to put you to sleep! The referee: One...
Two...
Three - Kickout.
Lissie flops back to the mat in disbelief. She begins asking the referee if it was three, but he assures him it was only a two-count. Lissie looks on in disappointment, and then she goes to pick Shaw up, but Shaw drop-toeholds him and quickly floats over into a Texas cloverleaf with a knee in the back.
Chris Avery: THE END QUOTE! THE END QUOTE IS LOCKED TF IN!!!Billy: LISSIE IS SCREAMING IN PAIN!Lissie reaches out for the ropes and screams in pain. She can't quite grab the bottom rope. Shaw tightens his hold on the move. Lissie is forced to bite down on her finger to withstand the pain. Shaw yells for Lissie to give up. The referee asks Lissie if he gives up, but he yells "NO!" Lissie tries crawling towards the ropes, but just as she gets within reach, Shaw walks him back out to the middle of the ring and sits back on the move, increasing the pressure. Lissie yells and screams, contorting her arms. She begins holding her hand over the mat, and it looks as if she may tap out.
Chris Avery: Lissie is holding on with all he has!Lissie begins his crawl back towards the ropes, and after a long crawl, she makes it to the bottom rope, her hand shooting out and gripping it. She hangs on for dear life. The referee tells Shaw to break the hold and he does, and he immediately begins stomping on Lissie's lower back. The referee tells Shaw to back off, and the two get into an arguement. Shaw tells The referee to watch his tongue, threatening him, and then he turns back to Lissie. He lifts Lissie up and gives her a lifting t-bone suplex. Lissie lands on her lower back, and lets out a scream of pain. Shaw walks over, and clubs Lissie a few times, then gives her a vertical suplex, holding on as he rolls his hips and lifting her up for a second vertical suplex. He holds on and rolls to his feet a third time, lifting her back up, and he resets himself and pops off a rolling Northern light's suplex. Lissie is flung across the ring. Shaw walks over and lifts her up with his good arm, and he goes to lift her up on his shoulders again for the Simply Put, but Lissie elbows him in the side of the head again and again, until he loosens the hold. Lissie slips down from the front and counters into a sit-out facebuster. The crowd pops for Lissie at this sudden reversal. Lissie then rests for a moment, catching her breath. After a few moments, she simply wraps her legs around Carter's throat with a triangle choke submission. She squeezes his throat tightly.
Chris Avery: Lissie has Carter Shaw all wrapped up between her legs!Billy: I think that's actually what started this whole quarrel!Chris Avery: You're so crude, Billy.Lissie shouts for him to give up. Shaw, although being choked out, refuses. Lissie tightens the hold on her legs, and shouts at him again. The referee asks Carter if he will throw in the towel, but Shaw refuses yet again. Shaw begins tiwsting himself around and trying to pull Lissie's legs apart. Finally, he is able to power his way up to his knees, as he is between Lissie's legs and he stands, gripping them, and he turns her over into a Boston crab. Lissie's eyes shoot open wide as Shaw sits back on the hold. Lissie yells in pain and reaches for the ropes, for anything. Shaw puts all his weight on the hold. Lissie's face is twisted in agony. Shaw tells her to give up.
Billy: Her back must be killing her as much as it would after a night with me.Chris Avery: That is so wrong.Billy: But it feels so right!Chris Avery: What are you even talking about, Billy?Billy: ...I just want to cuddle with somebody.Shaw lifts Lissie up and gives her a belly to belly suplex. Lissie rolls to the outside, holding her back. Shaw follows after her. Lissie crawls in the aisle, trying to get to her feet. Shaw lifts her up in a military press and drops her straight on the guardrail. Lissie falls back, holding her face in pain. Shaw lifts Lissie back up and clubs her a few times, then he hooks her from the side and gives her a harsh Russian legsweep into the guardrail. The back of Lissie's head cracks the steel. She falls into the aisle. Shaw, his jaw set in determination, walks over and grabs a steel chair, and he begins setting it up in the corner where two portions of the guardrail intersect. He lifts Lissie up and sits her in the chair. He backs up to the middle of the aisle and then gets a running start, attempting to give Lissie a boot while she's in the seated position, but she dives out of the way. Shaw's leg is hung up with the guardrail. Lissie scoops up the steel chair, folding it shut, and before Shaw can bring his leg down where it was hung up on the guardrail, Lissie takes the chair and cracks it across his knee. Shaw shouts in pain, and brings his leg down. Lissie slams the chair into his shoulder. Carter screams in pain and holds his shoulder, and Lissie whacks it again. Then, she tosses the chair to Shaw, who catches it onehanded in a dazed manner, and Lissie performs a spinning heel kick to blast the chair into Shaw's face.
Billy: Where is the referee in any of this?? I'm hanging mah lampshade!Chris Avery: The only thing Lissie's concerned with is getting through this match, nothing else matters, not even what she has to do to get that.Lissie lifts a barely conscious Carter Shaw up and gives him a leaping reverse STO right onto the steel chair for good measure, before she floats over and locks in a crossface chickenwing. Shaw groans in pain as his injured arm is worked in the submission. The referee finally comes back in, now that he feels they're ready to settle their differences, but Shaw will not give in. Lissie tells the ref just to ring the bell, but he refuses, saying Shaw has not given up.
Chris Avery: Well, there's the answer to that. The referee wants this to be a fair match, to finally give the two of them some closure.Lissie holds the chickenwing submission in for several more moments. Finally, seeing Shaw isn't ready to give up, she releases it. She tries to lift Shaw up, but he is barely conscious and dead weight. She gives him a few straight kicks to the shoulder. She pulls his arm by twisting the shoulder in it's socket and tries to pull him up that way. Shaw yells in pain, and he reverses it into an irish whip that sends Lissie flipping over the steel steps and spilling to the other side. Lissie recuperates in the aisle, as Shaw leans on the apron and tries to get some feeling in his arm. Shaw finally walks over to Lissie and throws her in the ring, throwing the chair in for good measure. He walks over and lifts the chair up, going over to the corner. He wedges the steel chair between the top and middle rope, then he lifts Lissie up. He irish whips her with a lot of velocity. Lissie hits the turnbuckle and does a flip over it to the apron, a la HBK. Shaw pulls Lissie back in the ring, and goes to throw her into the wedged chair, but Lissie drop toeholds him and makes him run face first into the chair. Shaw pulls himself up, holding his jaw, and Lissie plants a kiss on his lips before annihilating him with a jumping, twisting knee to the face.
Chris Avery: Lissie with the Lights Out!!Lissie covers...
The referee: One...

Three - Kickout!
Lissie rests for a moment, then she attempts to float in to an kimura on the injured arm and elbow of Shaw. Shaw pounds on her head relentlessly, making her release the hold. Lissie gets up, and Shaw slowly starts to pick himself up. Both of them get to their feet around the same time. Shaw lays into Lissie with a right hand, but Lissie fires back with a forearm shot and a Muay Thai kick to the ribs. Shaw goes for a clothesline, but Lissie ducks and then drops down, swinging her leg up to connect with a Pele' kick. Shaw stumbles back, but does not fall, and Lissie hooks his head and attempts to drop him with a jumping Dangerous DDT. Shaw powers her off and throws her across the ring. Lissie gets to her feet and Shaw boots her in the gut, attempting to give her an inverted rolling cutter, but she spins out of it and boots him in the gut in return and drops him with a standing shiranui. Lissie eggs Carter to get to his feet again, and as he gets up she goes for a leg drop bulldog, aka Fameasser, but he pulls his head away at the last second. Lissie hits nothing but the mat. She gets to her feet holding her butt and when she does he whips her around and plants her with a brainbuster. However, Shaw lays on his side, gripping his arm as Lissie is laid out on her back.
Chris Avery: The attack from Shaw and the onslaught of Lissie may have taken their toll, Shaw's arm may be useless.Billy: This match has proved that both of these folx need a win, but neither one is willing to lose.Shaw sits up, shaking his arm to get some feeling into it. Lissie starts getting to her feet behind Shaw. Shaw is grimacing and holding his arm. Lissie then comes behind him with a low blow uppercut to the groin. Shaw doubles over, holding his injured groin, and Lissie finishes him off with a second Lights Out . Lissie rests against the ropes. She makes a motion to the crowd, as they pop for her, and she waits for Shaw to get up and she applies a triangle choke
Billy: This girl just will not quit!Lissie bends the arm back painfull. Shaw screams and tries to turn over to alleviate pressure, but Lissie uses her legs to push him back down. Shaw continues fighting his way up as Lissie holds onto his arm. The referee asks Carter if he gives up. Shaw shakes his head. He begins pulling his way to his knees, with Lissie still hanging on to his weak arm. Shaw lifts himself up. He screams with effort as he pulls Lissie's trunks, lifting her up and powerbombing her violently into the mat. Lissie releases the hold. Shaw has an intense look on his face. He looks at Lissie for a moment, then he shakes his arm out. Ignoring all of the pain, all of the fatigue of this match, Shaw jerks Lissie up, drags her over to a corner, and lifts her high into the air, before dropping the crown of her head RIGHT onto the turnbuckle on the way down! Lissie's head crashes violently as she falls on her head and neck. The crowd gives an "Oooooooh" at the blunt force trauma of the impact.
Chris Avery: CONCUSSION PROTOCOL!!Billy: Jesus christ, these two have tried to tear each other apart.Carter is looking down at Lissie, and a lot of emotion is crossing over his face. He still has a bitter, determined stare in his eyes, but he's also seeming to ask her why she is making him do this. The dramatic moment plays out, as Shaw, recognizing he has to do his duty, pushes her over and goes for a cover.
The referee and crowd: ONE...
Two...
Three - Kickout!
Lissie throws a shoulder up and Shaw sits up, a shocked and angry look on his face. His hair is disheveled, and he stares at the referee, then down at Lissie. He grits his teeth, and storms back to his feet, yelling at Lissie, exhorting her and saying "YOU WANT TO DO THIS? YOU WANT TO GO OUT THIS WAY?" and he lifts her up and drops her onto the mat, and on her neck, with a wicked brainbuster again. Lissie convulses and spasms,, rolling around on the mat and holding her neck. Carter, clenching his teeth with intensity, motions that it's over for her, and he lifts her up one more time... lifting Lissie up and hitting a third devastating, cringe-inducing brainbuster that makes her crash brokenly to the mat.
The violence of the act, the way Lissie has stopped moving and is laying with her arms splayed like a rag doll, and the look of rage on Shaw's face are all making the fans at ringside, Lissie Hope supporters, cover their mouths in shock.
Shaw, aggressively, shoves Lissie's arm off and goes for a cover.
The referee: One...

Kickout!!
The crowd explodes as Lissie's fans go up in a momentous cheer. Shaw sits up and has a dumbfounded look on his face, unable to compute what is happening. Lissie is down on the mat, but the will of her fans pushing her on is making Lissie start coming around. The crowd is building a chant to give her all her energy, "LISSIE, LISSIE, LISSIE", it is a connection that, no matter what happens in her win-loss record, will not allow the support to waver, because they believe in her. Shaw's head whips around, and he looks at the crowd, and yells "No! No!" and it's getting to him. Because he loves Lissie too, deep down. And now, in this match, he's being asked to put her down.
Shaw stands, and squares his shoulders, as if readying himself for what he has to do. The crowd is willing Lissie to get up with a massive ovation. Shaw double underhooks the arms of Lissie, starting to go for a Simply Put to finish this. Moving slowly, staggering a bit, and having trouble flexing his arm which has been put through a wringer.
Chris Avery: He's calling for it! One final Simply Put will put an end to this year for Lissie Hope!Billy: Come on, Lissie! You just gotta make it through this year, 'cause Carter's trying to kill you!Shaw starts to lift Lissie up... but it's blocked! Lissie blocks it by dropping to her knees and not letting him lift her! Lissie breaks the double underhook by hitting the bad arm of Shaw, and then, she rises to her feet like a Terminator, booting him in the gut... double underhook! Setting him up! And she pedigrees him into the mat!
Chris Avery: CROWN... OF... THORRRRRNNNNNNNS!!!!Billy: SHE HIT IT!Lissie is too beaten to do anything but lay out on her stomach for a moment, and the anguish on her face is palpable. But, she does, at length, pull herself up on her elbows, and a pained expression of sorrow comes over her as she looks at Shaw. She doesn't want to put him down in this way, on this night, either, but she has to.
Lissie crawls over for the cover.
The referee and crowd: ONE...

THREE -
Kickout!!
Shaw kicks out, and Lissie rolls over a few feet, covering her head in disbelief. The crowd goes wild for the battle, as Shaw lays on his back, blinking and gasping for air, and Lissie is too beaten to continue. There is a long pause, where neither competitor moves at all. The crowd is splitting a chant, "LET'S GO LISSIE/CARTER SHAW" and making so much noise it's shaking the rafters. Finally, both competitors start to make their way to their feet, and there is a big gulf of ring space between them both as they look at each other from their knees.
Chris Avery: These two have brought out the absolute best, strongest fight in each other tonight!Billy: Yeah, but neither one of them has the will to get the job done!Lissie rises to her feet first, yelling at Shaw to bring it on, to fight her. Shaw stands to his feet, and he looks over at Lissie seriously. The crowd is losing it's shit as they both brush off the pain and fatigue, and it looks like they're ready to lock up like bulls, throw fists and beat each other's heads in...
But they just look at each other. For a long while. The crowd doesn't want either one to lose, but both Lissie and Carter understand what it means for them both to win here.
They come together in the middle of the ring and embrace, instead! The crowd is awed by the sudden shift, as Shaw and Lissie break and turn, holding each other's arms up in celebration!
Chris Avery: What is this??Billy: Are they... walking out?!Lissie and Shaw both exit the ring, and the referee is staring at them, asking them what they're doing. Shaw and Lissie are both doing a slow walk up the ramp, and they're both holding each other's hands up as if they're both the winner here. The referee, confused, nonetheless decides to count them both out. Finally, the referee orders the bell rung.
Adilene Floyd: Ladies and gentlemen, the referee has ruled both competitors did not meet a ten-count and have gone to a DOUBLE-COUNTOUT!
Shaw and Lissie both walk up the ramp, leaving the ring behind.
Billy: I don't believe what we're seeing... do they care about each other more than they care about this fight?Chris Avery: I think this was a situation where neither one wanted to lose, or to give the other one a loss.
