~WHOOSH~
Forming from a transparent hologram into a solid figure is the partner of L Verez; Zima’Ion Nar Rayya, in an unfamiliar room. There’s a mixture of organic and synthetic materials patterned throughout the walls and floor, as well as a stasis pod. This may be her personal quarters. Unlike usual, she does not have L, or anyone else by her side.
Zima'Ion: We are at the cusp of Evolution, and L Verez now sees herself facing 7 other competitors to unify the UCI World and Intercontinental Championships. As of last week, Kevin Bishop and the now unmasked El Payaso Loco have entered the match… this was after L had been pinned by Shadowlove, losing the 4 way tag match for the Guardians.
Momentum is obviously not on our side. It hasn't been for a while, has it? This brings L to 3 wins and 5 losses, not counting the Havoc Rumble. Her only notable win being against Claire Hawkins… her debut. She couldn't defeat Spencer Adams. She failed to win the tag titles alongside Bonnie twice. Her showing at the Havoc Rumble, let us be honest, was quite sub-par. Not only does this make L the obvious underdog, but this would make many beg the question, “why does L Verez deserve to be in this match?” “Does L Verez even have any place *being* in this match?” On AW’s paper, one would obviously think “no”... but let us take a step back, and look at the facts, shall we?
First, we have Shadowlove. The biggest ego, but the least successful competitor I've ever come across. Both he and L have only had one title reign, sure, but let's compare those two reigns. Shadowlove won the UCI Television Championship against Sah'ta Thor… I almost threw up having to remember him. Love only successfully retained his title once against Petrov, before losing it in… oh! A ladder match. Jack Schlongson… almost threw up again, had taken the title, and had a much longer, more successful title reign afterwards. Dare I say that Shadow's title win was a fluke? Because that's what it surely sounds like. Meanwhile, at Killing Floor, L Verez took on WCF legend Corey Black, and defeated him for the UCI Hypermedia Championship. She then took on all three members of Gold Standard, and successfully retained against all three members of the group. Who was the one to dethrone L Verez of the Hypermedia Championship? Yes, that's right… no one. L was the third and final holder of the UCI Hypermedia Championship. So while Shadowlove was in his year long quest to become a champion, this sudden contender, what did many people call her… this “space tranny” swooped in, and soon after he won and lost his “UCI World Television Championship”, L Verez defeated a legend, defeated three people in one match, and never lost her championship.
All that was back in UCI, however. How has Shadowlove done in Action Wrestling? Has he won the AW “World” Television Championship? Has he won the tag team Championship alongside Miss Mayamoto? Will he become the Undisputed UCI Champion? The answer to all of this is simply “no”. This is the same man that needed brass knuckles to try and win a triple threat match against L Verez, and didn't even get the job done. This is a man that aligned himself with the likes of Kevin Bishop and Corey Bull to seem like legitimate competition against the Insurgency. This is the man that goes all over social media, hypes himself up to oblivion, but always manages to fall short of getting the job done when it matters most. Love and Rossi got lucky against L this week, but come Evolution, she will be at her best, and Love will have nothing and no one to hide behind. L will hold her titles high, and Shadowlove will continue to be the most overhyped disappointment in wrestling history. If anyone is unworthy of being in this match, it is Shadowlove.
Although, unlike the UCI Champion, Love actually was a part of UCI. How can the powers that be allow a man that never even stepped foot in UCI become the champion that represents the promotion? He doesn't know, or care to know the history of UCI. He probably cares as much about UCI as I care to know of him. Although it's hard to care about someone that looks to be going through his midlife crisis, wearing leather jackets, jeans, and bandanas as if he's still in his youth. He'll be more of a corpse than Zombie McMorris before he finally decides to clean up his look. Now he's joined forces with Corey Bull to form Murder Inc, because I guess two bloated humans is better than one. Nevertheless, it is true when they say that the bigger they are, the harder they fall. What would be a greater way to test that than by making “Big” John Frost meet his Celestial Descent from atop a ladder, onto the mat, and winning it all? L may not be able to avenge Jason Zurra at Evolution, but she can send a message to Bull's friend by taking him out, and taking his gold. Then we'll have a true UCI Champion.
I'll allow L to speak more personably about the other competitors in this match, as she has a closer connection to them. As of right now, however, she is training her hardest, and smartest, to guarantee a win at Evolution. Until then, as L likes to say to her fans, positive vibes, always. Especially to her opponents, because they're going to need it.

Are these… flashes? They're not as vague as before. It's almost as if I'm reliving my memories. I'm back in UCI. Currently standing in the ring with Nightshade, Marty Barret, and Artemis St. Cloud… my debut. It's almost like a simulation that I can't control. Going through pin attempt after pin attempt. I almost had Barrett after hitting Big Bang, until Artemis low blowed me from behind… that's when he finished Barrett, and stole the win from my grasp. I would go on to vie for the Rising Stars championship at Election Day, but I'd ultimately come up short once again...
Hmm? The flash changed. I'm still in UCI, but this time, we're at Summermania. My first opportunity at the Hypermedia Championship in a gauntlet match, as well as the Television Championship. I was up next, going up against Nova-Kaine, who not only just eliminated Jayson Price, but was in another match that same night against Sah'ta Thor. He was still down. I could've easily swept in and went for the cover, but I didn't have the heart to. This match had to be honorable. So I picked him up, and let him recover just enough to continue the match. This should have been an easy win, but Nova had the heart of a quasar. He wasn't going down without a fight. My fate was almost twisted, he almost met his Celestial Descent. Ultimately, we both hit each other with a roundhouse kick, and we both eliminated each other.
Another setting change… UCI's Rite of Passage. My second attempt at the UCI Hypermedia Championship, but this time, I was up against the new champion. WCF legend Corey Black. This was one of the toughest matches of my career. Everyone was betting against me. Every time I had the chance to win a championship, I let it slip through my fingers. Here I was standing opposite a multi time champion. Someone who had earned the name “King of all Wrestlers”. How could I possibly defeat him? After a moonstomp, a hard chop, a big boot, and repeated stomps to the chest, it seemed like it was all over for me. I felt yet another opportunity slipping from my grasp, until I heard what sounded like a melody…
The fans… they believed in me, even when I seemed to be at my lowest point. Enough to sing a silly song to bring me positive vibes. I was finally able to grab Black's boot to stop his stomping parade, but by that point, it felt like my chest was caved in. Blue blood has spat out of my mouth before I could finally make my way up. I was able to get him to the turnbuckle and trap his leg to the rope. Two bicycle kicks, and Big Bang were still not enough to take down the legend. The match continued on. Multiple reversals, Black continuing to target my chest, which makes me bleed even more. Finally… I catch him with all my might, and hit him with a spiraled Samoan Drop. He kicks out, but I was quick enough to lock in Finite. This was it, or at least it should've been, until he grabbed the rope. We ended up on the outside. I could've made it before the 10 count, but Black used all the weight he could to trap me down… too late. A double countout.
Another flash change. This time I'm walking to a cabin. This… this was Killing Floor. The “Cabin in the Woods” deathmatch that Spencer and I agreed on. The only time we agreed on anything. This was my final shot at the Hypermedia Championship. My final chance to defeat Corey Black. This match was… interesting, but the rules were simple. The fans got to decide what weapons got to be in the cabin, and the only way to win was to be the last one standing. You essentially had to knock your opponent unconscious. I had even made a modified black and orange tech suit for this encounter. The fans were most definitely creative with their weapon choices. Bear traps, Legos, a “dragon dildo bat,” even Kevin Bishop wearing a tutu... it was a very odd match, but that didn't make it any less of a war. The battle went all over. Even in the lake. It was a heavy feeling, almost drowning… the battle ended in the basement of the cabin. It almost looked like a dungeon of sorts. After being tasered and dueling with lightsabers, I take a charge at him. The floor collapses, and I'm the last one standing… someway, somehow… after all the missteps, all the “almosts”... I had finally won my first title victory.
I'm back at UCI, but the place is empty… closed down. I see the Civil War stage. This was our last ever event. When I tied with Harry Diderott for an opportunity to face fellow Guardian Preecha Kamon for the UCI World Heavyweight Championship… but it was all for not… until now. My journey in AW is similar to my journey in UCI. I just need the motivation, the intensity that I had back then… the light is still there. It shines like the brightest of Quasars… I just need to obtain it.
I’m awake… is… is that Auron?

L Verez: With Evolution upon us, I figure it would only be fitting to get a few things off my chest before the biggest event of the year. I stand here, in the middle of the ring that I have built, training as much as possible for this. This championship is what I have sought after since before UCI's closing.
The stakes have risen now, however! What would be the cause? Sam Kidsgrove, the now active UCI Intercontinental Champion. The man that Bonnie and I teamed with at NBW to form the Insurgency, along with Andre Jenson. Though, after taking a step back and thinking about it, how honorable is our UCI Intercontinental Champion, truly? He had a contract that made sure that the UCI Intercontinental Championship stayed active after the company's closing. He had every opportunity to defend that championship, but when was the last time he acted upon that before now? For an active champion, he sure has been quite elusive. He's just now decided to defend his title, and the timing couldn't be any worse for him. I still respect him, but he isn't facing the L Verez that's been struggling to strive in AW. He's getting the L that won the Hypermedia Championship. He's getting the L that took NBW by its horns, and drug it through the ground. You had a long, uneventful reign, Kidsgrove, but it ends here.
Speaking of ends… it's the end of an era. The era of El Payaso Loco. After the history we had in UCI, one could only imagine the look on my face when I saw my friend, who I thought was a respectable luchador, take his mask off to reveal that he is WCF veteran Jaice Wilds. All this time… I had an inkling that Payaso may not have been a pure Lucha, but Jaice? This was the man that fought by my side at Civil War… someone I trusted! I'm unsure if I can forgive him for keeping his identity from me. Friends do not keep secrets. I learned that the hard way… and it's a lesson Jaice will have to learn at Evolution.
Then there's Kevin Bishop… The longest reigning UCI Champion. A man who, like Jaice, thinks he can just swoop in, and regain his former glory. The same thing he tried back in NBW, when he formed an inferior group to Insurgency, just like how the Brotherhood was inferior to the Guardians. There’s a reason why the Guardians stood the test of time, while the Brotherhood floundered. We even have a former Brotherhood member within the Guardians, who just so happens to be in this match. Your path to revival didn't work then, and it won't work now, Bishop. Your expiration date has passed. You have nothing left to prove. Wallow away back to your Creeping Death, before you become Finite.
Lastly, and infinitely, my Guardian comrades… Bonnie and Damian. This isn’t the first time Damian and I have been at odds, but it is for Bonnie and I. I know both of these titles are ones that have eluded Damian, but there’s a reason why he only ever wins Television Titles. He can keep smiling to the camera as he fights for that title again, because I won’t allow him to stop me from becoming UCI champion, friend or not. As for Bonnie… she’s already had her time with both of these titles. I understand she’s struggling as well, but it’s time for her to step aside. She may be the leader of the Guardians, but I will be the one that represents UCI. I will be the one to win it all. I will be…
UNDISPUTED!
UNDISPUTED!
