Atlanta, Georgia. Home of such things as Falcons football, Futurama episodes and Ludacris. But slightly less famous albeit still relevant is the store called Criminal Records, which is where the Dangerous Gentlemen find themselves this afternoon. A paid personal appearance organized by the owner, the two of them arrived to find a backdrop with AW and CR logos across it and a small table featuring glossy promotional pictures of either of them from small promotions as well as Action Wrestling shots. The crowd to greet them is a middling size given their relatively recent forays into the title picture, but wrestling fans are wrestling fans.
They’ve already spoken to the owner and are currently in the middle of speaking to fans and signing things.
Benedict: You know, I’d really rather get chopped in the neck until I die again by Downfall than sign another couple hundred pictures.
He gives a cursory smile to a fan in a Johnny Bacchus shirt, and signs a picture for him after a handshake. Hector seems more chipper about things, ever the opportunist to expand himself as a brand and make some money. Never a more carny wrestler has been brought into the ranks of AW, with the possible exception of Bozo.
Crowley: I dunno what you’re moaning about, Robbie boy. This is easy days compared to the next few weeks. We just gotta go through those two clowns again because this division is a shambles and we got Vanguard again--Afternoon, squire, you alright?
He accepts a custom action figure of himself and smiles, showing it to Robert. Robert for his turn smiles and rolls his eyes at the crude likeness.
Crowley: Oi, it’s even got my pocket watch. I’ll give ya whatever you want for this, my lovely.
He stands and accepts a hug from the excited female fan, even posing for a selfie with her for giving him such a thoughtful little gift. Benedict hasn’t been in the brightest spirits for the last few weeks since he couldn’t overcome Downfall and Dionysus, but the light at the end of the tunnel is here. Just another match and he might get to redeem himself on a grand stage. That’s what the work will be for, one foot in front of the other. For the time being he grins and bears it, and even manages to have a good time during the little appearance. Plus he makes a few bucks and gets free pizza, and who can complain about that?
