The scene opens on the interior of a popular nightclub. The lighting is dim and the dance music is loud. Men and women share spots on the dance floor as the camera pans slowly across the room. Seated off to the side in a back corner booth, is none other than the 21st Century Trendkiller, Eli Hix. His slicked back hair is slightly cascades down over his ears as his legs are crossed, he leans against the slick black leather booth seat, a glass of whiskey held within his hand.
“I knew this winning streak would put a target on my back...that it would draw eyes on Dark Dynasty from people that normally wouldn’t give us a second look… We’ve known that we would have to watch our backs but not even we could expect the continued beat downs week after wee
To be attacked repeated on the nights we never spoke two words to anyone backstage. Attacked for no real reason other than the Schmorg Bros wanting to make the night about them and their fantasy of becoming the tag team champs. Like they have a slight chance to wiggled their name into contention. I mean honestly they’ve might have jumped to the top of that list by just showing they face but never have these guys truly represent EVERYTHING that a Champion stood for.”
Eli Hix believes that the true top contenders are Dark Dynasty, him and his partner Lochlyn Cade, it’d be hard if not impossible to deny them the opportunity. Though, it’s Action Wrestling and things are always a bit unconventional.
"Hey Jenson, you may be doing well in the ring and you may be a part of the most successful tag team but … There’s one thing you need to realize. You are going up against a man who still needs to prove himself in the ring. You are going up against someone who will do anything to win the match. This is just another match thrown together from the tag division. It keeps us fresh, competing for ourselves but representing our teams. I can promise you one thing Andre Jensen, you’re got a difficult task before you, I’m talking about this week but I’m talking about our future meet for the titles. It’s the reality that you’ve hoped would happen… real competition.
It’s Mid-October and we’ve now been chasing the titles going of nearly six months. Better men would have forsaken their goals and moved on towards a different road. Lochlyn Cade and I aren’t those kind of wrestlers. We have our minds set on a goal and we will accomplish this goal regardless of how difficult the road placed before us.”
It’s late and nearly closing time of the establishment. He wanted… needed… to finish his last drink before he’s escorted out of the fine bar he frequents.
“This doesn’t at mean that I’m overlooking B.A. Bob. That would be a mistake and any wrestler worth anything knows better than to mistake t his guy as a walk over. Sure, he’s trash in my book. Better dumped on the edge of some dusty back road like an average dog no longer wanted nor needed.
Oh’ B.A. Bob has some accomplishments himself and he’ll keep the fight coming until the final moment when the bell rings. Loch and I are often questioned regardless of our steadfast verbal strength in team. We understand that despite accomplishments and accolades that two new guys can rock that boat. We’re the team that will rewrite history. Two guys in particular want that to never happen. They payed to take away our segment time. The needy Champs couldn’t let Dark Dynasty get onto the airwaves. It’s the fear that we might be cheered just a bit more.
Bob you’ve gotten yourself into a pickle. You’re the third wheel of a match that only matters for two. You’re again the proverbial what would I do without these guys better than me, stealing a bit of my thunder. That hurts right Bob? That you can’t get the job done so they throw you to the wolves ready to be eaten.”
The waitress place a new glass upon the table.
