Bio:
Robert Benedict was a rising name in Japan after he graduated from the Young Lion training style. That meant losing every match he was in for several years, long training days in the Dojo, shaving his head, carrying the bags of established wrestlers and setting up the ring before shows. This was intended to instill a level of respect and hard work in wrestlers, and it certainly did for young Robbie. He cut his teeth in the largest promotion in the country as a rookie, taking the name Robbie Benedict because it was catchier than his full name. He went by the nickname “Thunderbolt” to advertise his explosive and sudden offense, and he established himself as a promising young talent after returning from his year-long excursion in the UK to hone his craft.
He participated in the annual tournament for young wrestlers and came up short in his first year as a true wrestler, and made it all the way to the finals the next year. He felt there was something missing from his repertoire and made the jump to the US to bounce around many southeastern promotions, earning a small cult following for his solid ring skills and personality. He comes to AW as a worker a few years into his career, a hot name on Internet message boards and a possible mainstay of American-style Puro wrestling.
Attire:
During his entrance he wears a formal outfit with a button-down shirt and slacks. He removes his shirt before the match begins. The color of the shirt and slacks vary but always compliment each other.
Theme Song:
Queen - Princes of the Universe
Pic Base:
Tyler Bate
Entrance:
HERE WE ARE, BORN TO BE KINGS, WE’RE THE PRINCES OF THE UNIVERSE!
Queen’s “Princes of the Universe” belts out over the house PA system and Robert Benedict soon takes the stage, he lingering at the entryway long enough to undo the buttons on his cuffs. He gestures to the crowd with a smile and heads down to ringside to remove his dress shirt to the delight of some of the women in the crowd, and in his slacks he hops up onto the apron to turn and open his arms wide to point to the crowd and encourage their applause. He wipes his feet on the apron before he enters the ring.

Match Psychology:
Robert Benedict is still a Young Lion, and as such can and will put his body on the line to win the match. He'll square up to absolutely anyone in AW from the smallest cruiserweight to the meanest striker, often walking away from matches with bruised and welted chest and neck. He is deeply hungry and has something to prove to everyone in the arena, and his cardio and core strength are freakish. He doesn't have much ring experience to benefit from so he relies on simply outlasting his opponent's offense and catching them by surprise or tenacity or sheer insane strength. He is capable of hitting the Liger Bomb on almost anyone but the heaviest wrestlers.
