What are you searching for?
Digital, physical, methodological.
For Action Wrestling, they are searching for the next big thing. A future superstar in the making with raw talent.
Kazim Meunier was at Action Wrestling Headquarters.
At the beginning of this competition, The Search described Daniel Davis as unproven and unknown. Over the course of the competition you have certainly proven yourself to everyone else. Except me.
He pointed to himself as the writing was on the wall for Daniel Davis.
Why I say this? Because two times we have faced off in the ring, and two times I have gotten the better of you Daniel. Based on your behaviour, if you were in my shoes, you'd think that's an advantage to do it a third time.
Kazim shook his head.
No. It gives me experience and understanding, but every match is different. I will work twice as hard this week to prove once again that everything I have been given in this competition, I have earned with blood, sweat and tears.
No tears were caused in the production of this video.
Here's where you and me differ. Your perception of the past causes you to hold a grudge, because from your view I was absent the first week of the competition, and during the quarter-finals.
He rolled his eyes.
You live in the past with a giant stick up your butt because you feel you're owed something for your efforts. You're owed nothing Monsieur Davis, and living in the past, there is no future in it.
Time was money.
If you spent the same amount of energy that you do in running your mouth, in your wrestling, you'd have an edge over me.
Hypothetically.
But you don't, all talk, no action. That's you Monsieur. It's funny that you called me lazy last week when I'm the hardest worker in the competition. What's lazy is that week in, week out, you submit your promos at the last possible minute. You pay no attention to anyone else but yourself because you're selfish, and then when things don't go your way, you cry like a big baby.
He motioned over his eyes to imitate a crying baby.
Well Monsieur Davis, this week, you can cry your heart out, because I'm going to be the very first winner of The Search. For Liberté, égalité, fraternité!
Victory salute.
VIVE LA FRANCE!

Fade in.
We open to the soft glow of candlelight. Ten flames curl into a semicircle, in the center of which stands Daniel Davis. Slowly he paces past each one, showing the other competitors' photographs by the candles.
“Eight weeks, nine competitors, and now a grand finale. Tonight is a tribute to those who made this possible, a tribute to those who have paved the way for a future champion."
Danny reaches the first candle. Behind it sits MINNIE's image. With a snap of his fingers, the candlelight snuffs out. The next candle illuminates a picture of Remy Murphy. Again, Daniel snaps, and the candle extinguishes. The third is a photo of Taqueer Artes. Just like the others, a snap, and the candle dies.
“There were several who never had a chance, who hardly opened their mouths. But you learned from your mistake, Kazim. You found your voice, an made use of it.”
The fourth picture comes into focus. Diego Tesoro. Snap! This candle too goes out. Picture five: Bozo. Again a snap. Again, poof. Candle six. LC Pinkston. Just like those before, another candle snuffs out.
"So many of the group tried, and failed, to execute with their words. But not you, Kazim. You spoke smart, and made it to the in-ring competitions."
Matt Knox. Aphriya Adler-Ward. Madeline Whittney. All three candles in a row darken, leaving a single candle at the end of the arc.
"And then there were those who were never in the right place at the most opportune moment. They fell short in the ring, or fell victim to circumstance. You, Kazim, were the opposite. An opportunist when it mattered most. But there was always that one adversary who just wouldn't quit and still stands before you on equal ground: Daniel Davis.
"There's one candle left. Will that run of success continue, or will you flicker out like the rest?"
Daniel reaches down and picks up the photo of his foe, staring for a moment.
"Thank you, Kazim. You get to serve as the last fire I must extinguish before taking my place amongst Clash's best. Thank you for lighting the way. I know it's my time to burn bright. In order for that to happen, though, it becomes your time to burn out."
Snap! The last thing to be seen is that photo of Kazim as the last candlelight dies.
Fade out.

Opener
The show opens up inside of a small, closed arena where we’re greeted by host Ethan Miller spotlighted in an otherwise pitch black stage set up. Ethan Miller: Eight weeks. Eleven hopefuls. Dozens of promos. Hotly contested battles inside the ring. It all ends tonight.
The lights comes to life in sync with one another and show the emptiness of the arena as well as Billy and Chris Avery sat next to each other at an announcer’s table. Ethan Miller: Kazim Meunier and Daniel Davis, the finalists for our inaugural season..
The feed cuts to Kazim and Daniel dressed for the occasion in opposing corners and separated only by a referee. Ethan Miller: The final promo challenge came with ZERO specific guidelines and served as the perfect final say between these two competitors.
Kazim and Daniel look ready to tear each other’s throats out as they lean forward with hands locked onto the top rope behind them. Ethan Miller: Tonight, there will be no feedback. The winner of The Search will be decided IN that ring and that starts..right after this! Stay tuned!

The Search Finals Kazim Meunier vs. Daniel Davis Chris Avery: Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back and thanks for having us! We couldn’t be happier to be here!
Billy: You can say that again, Chris! If there’s one thing I love, it’s calling the action for future superstars!
Chris Avery: These two are ready to go and I think we are too!
DING DING DING!! The referee takes a quick step back to dodge the incoming clash between the two superstars who waste no time going at each other. Billy: Holy flyin’ fists! We know how this goes!
Chris Avery: This is weeks of blood, sweat, and tears right here!
The two pull each other in and Kaz slips out with a European uppercut that sends Daniel back a couple steps. Kaz looks to stay on top of it and yanks his opponent back in to whip him towards the corner, but Daniel flips the momentum and whips Kaz into it instead. Billy: Corner splash from Danny Davis!
Chris Avery: Kazim ducks it, handful of tights!1! 2- Billy: Quick kick out by Davis!
Kazim heads for the ropes and darts back at Davis, clotheslining him over and out. Chris Avery: Kazim is all business here tonight, looking to fly it seems!
Billy: KAZIM OVER THE TOP!
Chris Avery: UPPERCUT FROM DAVIS!Kazim folds and drops like a ton of bricks on the outside mat as Davis cracks his neck and pulls Kazim up a kneeling position, delivering a couple closed fists as he does so. Danny drags Kaz towards the apron and lays him out on it’s edge, repositioning him and leaving his head hanging off the side. Chris Avery: Daniel in control here, things just not looking good for Kaz at the moment.
Billy: I think he’s still stunned from that uppercut!
Chris Avery: Boot to the head from Davis!
Billy: He definitely wants more!
Chris Avery: Drive by kick!
Billy: NO! Kaz out of the way just in time and Davis crashes and burns!Daniel’s body and face tighten upon impact and a dazed Kaz is able to make his way slowly back to his feet with the ropes. He stands over the downed opponent and says some shit in French that I don’t understand cause I don’t speak French. Chris Avery: DOUBLE FOOT STOMP OFF THE APRON!
Billy: Holy ESS-AITCH-EYE-TEE!Kaz stumbles back up towards the barricade, smiling as he wanders drunkenly alongside it. He gives himself a couple of playful slaps of inspiration across the face and sprints around the corner and back just. He rounds the corner towards Daniel who has just made his way to his feet. Chris Avery: Look out!
Billy: Double clothesline! Both men just layed each other out!
Chris Avery: It’s only been a few minutes here, but you wouldn’t know that by looking at the way this one has unfolded.
Billy: It’s that next level urgency, knowing that guaranteed money and championship opportunity are on the line!
Both men begin another slow rise with Kaz just a little ahead of Daniel, but Davis looks to capitalize as he steps in and bounces Kaz’s head off the apron and rolls him back into the ring. Davis begins to circle him, dropping knees on various parts of Kaz’s body. Billy: He’s pickin’ his opponent apart right now, Chris!
Chris Avery: Cover by Davis!1! 2! Billy: Kazim stays alive!
Chris Avery: Davis frustrated, but back up for another knee!
Billy: Kaz catches him! Small package pin!1! 2! 3 Chris Avery: Shades of last week there!
Billy: I love it! If you’re Kazim right now, you’re getting in Daniel’s head with a nearfall like that!
Chris Avery: Good way to cut off the momentum as well!Daniel pushes up and pulls Kaz with him. Chris Avery: HE CATCHES HIM AGAIN!
1! 2! 3! Billy: DAVIS STAYS IN IT!
Chris Avery: We almost just crowned our winner, but Davis manages to stay alive!
Billy: Davis is NOT happy right now!Daniel finds his way to a vertical position even quicker this time, now yanking Kaz to his feet about as abusively as one can. He throws him towards the turnbuckle and jumps forward with an elbow to the temple followed by like...a lot more elbows to the side of the head. Chris Avery: Monkey flip from Davis!
Billy: Kaz lands on his feet! Impressive athleticism being showcased here tonight!
Chris Avery: One of these men is about to etch their name into the history books, Billy!
Daniel is up and turns towards Kaz as both men collide once more, throwing a pair of opposing strikes in the middle of the ring. Billy: Big chop now from Kaz, but Danny with one in response!
Chris Avery: Elbow from Danny!
Billy: Kaz with an elbow as well!
Chris Avery: Meunier throws Davis through the middle of the ropes!
Billy: I think he’s looking for that dive once more!
Chris Avery: Question is, will it pay off the second time around?
Billy: Kaz through the middle ropes now!
Chris Avery: SPEAR! SPEAR!Billy: NO! FREAKIN’! WAY!
Chris Avery: KAZ WITH THE SPEAR THROUGH THE ROPES! BOTH MEN ARE DOWN ONCE MORE!
Billy: Oh….MY!
Chris Avery: No time to think or care about your well being! Kaz is acting solely on instinct!
Billy: I think both men are!
Chris Avery: This match can send a career skyrocketing! This means a match against the Hardcore, TV, or United States Champion!
Both men slouch up and over the apron, putting most of their weight on adjacent posts as they shoot each other looks of exhaustion. Billy: They’re opting to continue! Back into the ring they go!
Chris Avery: Davis behind Kazim, arms locked in around the waist!
Billy: German suplex!
Chris Avery: Not letting up here! A Bobby Rage style attack from Daniel Davis!
Billy: German suplex again, but he’s right back up with him!
Chris Avery: Kaz trying to escape it as Daniel struggles to lift him up.
Billy: Elbow from Kazim...and another!
Chris Avery: Kazim turns to him.Billy: Superman punch from Davis!
Chris Avery: Kaz is hurt here! He’s hurt!
Billy: Picture perfect Superman punch, this could be the big opening for Daniel Davis!
Chris Avery: SUPERMAN PUNCH FROM KAZIM!
Billy: How’d he pull that one out!
Chris Avery: Both men are struggling here now!
Billy: They look ready to collapse!
Chris Avery: SPINNING BACKFIST MEETS SPINNING BACKFIST!
Billy: MEUNIER IS OUT! DAVIS IS OUT!
Chris Avery: What are the CHANCES!?
The ref leans down to check in on both men. He tries to get a response out of both to no avail. He holds his arms up in X formation as the show goes to commercial.

The Finals Continue... Chris Avery: Welcome back, folks! Over the break, medical crew at ringside were tending to these two, but Davis and Meunier somehow fought it off!
Billy: Knocked out cold, deemed unable to continue and they’re now brawling at ringside!
Chris Avery: Superkick from Kaz!
Billy: Davis struggling to stay on his feet, Kaz looking to use whatever is left of that speed to end this!
Chris Avery: SPEAR THROUGH THE BARRICADE! BOTH MEN DOWN ONCE MORE!
Billy: THIS MATCH HAS FALLEN APART!
DING DING DING!!
Billy: Wait! What’s happening!
The ref goes over to the ropes, leaning through towards Ethan Miller on the outside. Chris Avery: Did...this one just get thrown out?
EM shakes his head and heads towards the timekeeper’s table. Billy: Mic in hand...I’m sure everybody watching at home is just as confused as we are. Ethan Miller: Kaz….Daniel..I didn’t think it would come to this, but the referee has informed me that due to the passing of the fifteen minute time limit, this match has been deemed a draw…Chris Avery: No way! We can’t end The Search like this! Ethan Miller: Last week’s episode ended in chaos! This week is ending in chaos! We need a winner!
EM paces around the ring while the finalists struggle to shake the cobwebs. Ethan Miller: That’s why..this Sunday at the SoFi Stadium in Chicago, we WILL name that winner! Chris Avery: WOW!
Billy: There you have it folks!
Chris Avery: The Search continues!..With Kazim and Daniel getting checked on among the debris, we fade to black.
