Outfit:
"The ring is my home, wrestling is my life."
Voice Over: The ring. It's my home.
(cut to shot of an empty wrestling ring. Suddenly two wrestlers flash in, then flash out.)
Wrestling. It's in my blood. It's what I do. It's my passion. It's my life.
(Cut to shot of Vespertine, in wrestling gear, standing across from another woman, the bell rings, they hook up. Camera cuts back to shot of the empty wrestling ring)
I was born for this. I live this. I breathe this. I'll die this.
(Cut to shot of the empty ring, two wrestlers flash in, Vespertine and the other woman, both run the ropes and both clothesline each other to the mat. Wrestlers flash out.)
For me, it's the adrenaline. I feel I'm part of something big. I put my heart, my soul, my body on the line every night, just to wow the crowd and get that rush. To get that win, to get that title shot, to get that win, to get that next title. To get the respect from the crowd, the roster, and the management
(Cut to shot of Vespertine, on the corner post, the other woman lying flat on the mat. Vespertine jumps up, corkscrews, twists, then hangs in mid air for what seems like forever, all eyes on her, and then time speeds up again she starts to descend, right onto the body of the other woman. She bounces off, both women are rolling around in pain. The wrestlers flash out.)
But it's more of a feeling that I can be great. I can be a legend. I can be one of the great ones here in Action Wrestling.
(Cut to shot of Vespertine, standing atop a 20 foot ladder, looking down at the woman on the mat who she had just knocked off. Vespertine looks around and smiles...rather wickedly.)
Announcer 1: Oh my god! Is she going to do what I think she is going to do?
Announcer 2: Nightelf didn't mean for this to happen when she decided to mentor Vespertine.
(Vespertine vaults over the top of the ladder, and executes a perfect 450 splash onto the stomach of the woman below.)
Announcer 1: Oh my god! She's dead! Get some medics out here. She's dead!
Announcer 2: NO! Wait! She's moving.
(Cut to shot of an empty ring again.)
It's been a long road. The journey has been tough. Nobody understands what it means for me. To me. It's never been about the drama. It's never been about the money. It's never been about the fame. It's always been about respect. Respect is earned. Never given. I'm a small woman, I know I have to fight hard to earn the respect of the betters, the biggers, the Giants in any federation. But I'm a warrior. I stand tall, I stand up, I stand proud. Sometimes, I stand alone.
(Cut to shot of Vespertine in black metal armor, raising her sword high in the air, screaming at the top of her lungs. Before her rides an army of what looks to be a lot (say 10,000) people all coming towards her. The camera slow downs and she looks over her shoulder. She screams out something and then raises her sword even higher. The camera pans backwards and we see a huge army of men and women doing the same thing. She then thrusts her sword and jumps off the boulder. As one the army behind her surges forward but when the two armies come together she is in the thick of the frey. Camera cuts to shot of the empty ring again)
In old times, being a warrior meant something. Being a leader meant something. The battles were bigger, the armies were bigger, the stakes were higher, the fight meant something. I found, I live for the thrill. I live for the kill. I live to compete. I live to defeat!
(Cut to shot of Vespertine covering the woman and the referee slapping his hand 1 2 3. She stands up, the referee hands her a title and then raises her hand in victory. She smirks down at the woman lying on the mat.)
It's a rush. It's a push. It's pure adrenaline. Say what you want about me, say what you will. I don't care. You see what you want to see. You say what you want to say but I live for this. I'll die for this sport. I wasn't supposed to be here. I was never supposed to be here.
(Cut to shot of her arguing with her father about her wrestling. Cut to shot of being beaten down by a group of woman, cut to shot of her being pinned in the ring, cut to shot of the empty ring. Cut to shot of her flashing in, leaning on the ropes and looking around. She flashes out and the ring is empty again.)
What's my motto: "I do it because I can. I can because I want to. I want to, because you said I couldn't." Don't tell me I can't. I'll prove to you I can. 4 World Heavyweight Title reigns from 2 different federations later and I have proven, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that do I what I say and I mean it. But like I said, it isn't about titles. It's about making an impact. I strive to make an impact whereever I go. Whatever I do. Some people don't like me for that.
(Cut to shot of Vespertine catapulting herself over the top rope onto a group of women on the floor. She hits them all and they all fall into a pile. The camera picks up the "holy shit" chant. Camera cuts to shot of the empty ring. She flashes in as she walks around the ring looking at various places in a darkened audience. She flashed out.)
I believe I have something to prove. I believe that respect is earned, not given. Never given. I believe one can accomplish great things when given enough time and put in enough thought. I believe I will not give up, I will never surrender and I will NOT tap out. No matter what, don't ever give up. No matter what, don't ever quit. I'm a fighter. I'm small. I have to be. I've always been a fighter. People see me and think I was born with a silver spoon in my mouth. True, my family was rich. Mommy and daddy tried to give me everything I could ever want but they also kept me shielded from the world. But I'm not here to tell you about my past and what was me.
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine flying across the ring, turning around in mid run and performing a wheelbarrow driver to a man who is twice her weight. But she follows through on the momentum and while he isn't supposed to go down because of his size, he loses his balance and goes down anyway. Camera cuts to shot of empty ring.)
No, I'm here to tell you the story that will be me. This is my story. This is how I want to tell it. I am the Well Rounded Fighting Machine. I am Elegance Personified. I am all those names and more. You may not like me, you may not care about me but I am here and I will earn your respect. I will be the best damn ring warrior this federation has EVER seen. Or ever will see. Never give up, never surrender, never tap out.
(Camera cuts to shot of Vespertine sitting on the ring post looking out over a vacant ring, the ghostly sounds of screaming audience can be heard. Then the sound of the announcer's voices can be heard.)
A1: She is a firecracker that one. You never know what'll she do next.
A2: I don't know about you, but I'm impressed with her.
A1: As well we should all be.
Ring Announcer (ghostly sound) Here is your winner and new World Heavyweight Champion: Vespertine!!!!!
(Vespertine gets off the corner post, drops down, rolls out of the ring and disappears into the darkness.)
This is my story. This is how I'm going to tell it. This chapter of my life is far from over. This is my life, this is how I live my life. Vespertine: The woman, the champion. Someday, the storybooks will tell it like that, someday. Someday, I'll get there. And when I do, I'll know I'll have made my mark on this federation.
(Camera fades to black)
