Downfall and The Ascension like this
Post by Jaice Wilds on Dec 31, 2022 20:41:00 GMT -5
Post(ish) CruiserHavoc. A camera follows the action and some of the eliminated talent backstage, documenting the fallout as it happens. As it rotates, one catches Jaice Wilds walking directly up to the camera.
Did you see that? Did you feel that?? Chaos has returned to AW, and its list of victims is endless. At this very moment, there are peons still inside that ring fighting over positions and pretty trinkets… fools! The lot of them!! What you all witnessed tonight was not the underwhelming return of some relic of yesteryear; nay! It was the triumphant return of the Inevitable!! And what is, truly and almost cruelly, inevitable; is that the peasants in that ring are jockeying for positions and titles that merely aid in choosing which targets will be put to the grindstone first. But worry not, fans; they will all meet a cold and terrible fate soon enough. All of them!!
Wilds cackles as he turns away, heading for the locker room area. The cameraman pans around to survey other participants and staff as CruiserHavoc continues on…
Later
Wilds sits at a press table, surrounded by other CruiserClash talent. Various media outlets are asking questions of the roster, many of the other stars taking point.
So how does the roster view Bryan Blaze as the new face of CruiserClash?
Joey Bunga leans into his mic, but doesn't eek out half a word before he's cut off by a scoff and a snicker. The room is now focused on Jaice, who looks around and chuckles to himself.
Oh, I'm sorry. The generic corporate line Joey was about to hand out goes something along the lines of "Bryan is a great talent, he went through hell, we're so proud of him." I just got a tickle over the idea that Blaze thinks this was hell, and he didn't get but twelve seconds alone in there with me. It's alright, buddy; that strap will keep your schedule busy enough for you to avoid me for a while. Just know I'll be coming for you all the same.
One of the other cruiserweights interjects.
You just got back and you think you can skip the line…
Wilds furrows his brow.
First the fuck off, I'm Jaice goddamn Wilds. So if I wanted to call my shot already, there ain't shit you or anyone else in this group of misfits could do about it.
Second, I don't need a title opportunity. I've been out for the better part of two years, and my name is still on the lips of this company's top stars. You worthless clowns can seek validation by fighting over your trinkets; I'm simply here to remind people why I'm unequivocally the biggest draw in the fucking business. So how bout you just sit down and shut the fuck up?
The other talent starts towards Wilds, but is stopped by several other cruiserweights. Joey Bunga steps in, saying something we can't quite make out over the rest of the commotion. As things settle, another press junkie raises her hand.
Jaice, know you're willing to face all potential competition. Surely there's one or two particular names that stand out above the others?
The room goes almost dead silent as Wilds tilts back in his chair. He strokes his chin once or twice, then leans forward as he runs his left hand through his glorious mane.
My wars with Corey Black are the stuff of wrestling legends, and I went toe-to-toe with ZMac at the Battle of New Orleans. Both men are among my greatest tests to date, and I won't consider my list complete until I've finally notched a victory over both of them.
Wilds sits back, allowing the press to ask questions of his fellow CruiserClash stars. As they wrap up, Wilds slowly slips out of his seat and behind the nearest curtain, heading for the sales area to interact with the fans. The cameras all fade to static…
