(OOC Note: This was made before I created the account for my side character)
As if we were turning on a TV, the camera turns on and shows Vanessa Rivers standing next to a monitor with the CruiserClash logo on it. The only issue is that the view is upside-down. Vanessa tilts her head in confusion when she notices this.
Vanessa: Huh? How'd that happen?
She walks over to the camera and cuts it off. After fixing it, she turns it back on. When she notices that it's not upside-down anymore, she nods. Then, she takes a deep breath and smiles.
Vanessa: It's okay. It's the first time you're doing this. You got this........Welcome everyone to the-uh oh...
The camera starts to fall. Fortunately, she noticed it and reacted quickly enough to catch it before it could fall completely. In the process, the camera shuts off again.
For a third time, the camera cuts back on, and things finally look set.
Vanessa: Welcome everyone to the first ever edition of CruiserClash Countdown! I'm your host, Vanessa Rivers, and we'll be previewing tonight's edition of CruiserClash.
The monitor shows the competitors in each match as she goes through them.
Kitsumi vs Alex Scott
==> First CC match for Kitsumi since 6/14
==> Alex Scott has competed on all but one CC since Evolution
Vanessa: Momentum is the name of the game in this match. With Kitsumi making her return to CruiserClash, she has a chance to get right back into the thick of things. The question is how quickly can she adapt to being back in the squared circle. Maybe she has a new trick or two up her sleeve. As for Alex Scott, you know what you're getting with him, and that's a great match. One of the most persistent and underrated guys on the roster, Alex has been showing flashes of brilliance over the last two months, and he'll be looking to wow the crowd again tonight.
X-Championship
Damian Kaine vs. Roddy Zalez(c)
==>Fourth match between these two since Evolution(Zalez has won two of the three)
Vanessa: Normally, rivalries end at Evolution, but this one started there. Each battle has been more intense than the last. While DK was victorious in their first encounter, Zalez has won the last two, including a cage match that ended after the latter smashed a beer bottle over the former's head. Kaine has a chance to even the series and end the reign of Roddy Zalez before it can get off the ground, but Roddy's been on a roll, and he's looking to make a statement as the second ever CBS All Access Champion.
Azurine Vebbins vs. Cheyenne Walker
==>Azurine Vebbins: First X-Champion
==>Cheyenne Walker: Victorious in debut last week
Vanessa: The former Pineapple Promenade member Azurine Vebbins has proven that she's just as dangerous as a singles competitor as she is a tag team specialist. The initial All Access Champion could get one step closer to challenging for a second run with the belt if she can win here. However, Cheyenne Walker is up for the challenge tonight as she knows a victory over a decorated wrestler like Vebbins could boost her stock quite a bit, solidifying her as a big time threat to the rest of CruiserClash. She looked very impressive in her debut last week, and this is her chance to put the roster on notice.
Nikki Vaughn vs. Lochlyn Cade
==>Karlie Nash's absence led to last week's scheduled tag team match between RWB & Dark Dynasty becoming a singles match between Vaughn and Eli Hix
Vanessa: Is Karlie Nash here tonight? That's the question that's on everyone's minds when it comes to this match. Last week, she was M.I.A., raising a bit of concern. Hopefully, she's okay, and you can believe that her presence, or possible lack thereof, could have a huge impact on this match.
Marco Rossi & Jim Mud vs. The Heritage
==>Rossi vs Mud match canceled last week
Vanessa: The Heritage have a chance to get a solid win here and build a case for rising up the tag team ranks......if the match happens. Last week, their opponents, Marco Rossi and Jim Mud were supposed to face off, but JJ Biggs was having none of that. Great to see Biggs back, by the way. He deserves it. Anyways, he tosses the match out before it can even start just to get under Mud's skin. It's possible that he has something else planned this week to further irritate him, but if he does, how would it affect Marco Rossi, or even The Heritage?
Six-Superstar Tag Main Event!
Atara Themis, Badass Bob, Masuda Teijin vs. Addy A, Terra Walker, Regan Voorhees
==>Both teams consist of at least two people who faced each other last week
Vanessa: There's A LOT to unpack here. You have Masuda Teijin with a golden opportunity to make a statement for a Cruiserweight Title shot. You have Atara Themis and Badass Bob both looking for redemption against Terra Walker, who has just been monstrously great as of late. You have the previous two Cruiserweight Champions on the same team. It almost feels like it's less of who can get along and more of which team will fall apart first. Then, it comes down to how long it will take before this devolves into a benches-clearing brawl between everyone involved. My guess is not long at all.
The monitor goes back to showing the CruiserClash logo.
Vanessa: Well, there you have it for the expected matches on tonight's CruiserClash. I've heard rumors that Two Gents will be making an appearance tonight, and no, I'm not allowed to tell you whether or not that's true......mainly because I don't know myself. The Gatecrashers are also rumored to crash some gates tonight. Again, we'll have to wait and see. That's all the time we have here tonight. Thanks for watching, and I hope you all enjoy the 51st edition of CruiserClash!
She waves goodbye, but the camera starts to tilt again.
Vanessa: Oh no, not again!
She catches it(hopefully) and then turns it off.
