Hello Action Loyals! It's been a busy few weeks for the Cruiserweight Tag Team Champions. They successfully launched the latest in what has been a fruitful series of merchandising items. Action Loyalists will remember when the 2Gents T Shirts took the world by storm earlier this year, and the Gents have looked to build on this momentum by introducing another Gent Branded item: The Gentburger!
And while the Gents' title match at Tokyo did not go well, we here at ActionWrestling.com would like to share a report that might put a silver lining on the Gents' night in Tokyo. While we have only a limited amount of information, preliminary reports from the concession stand have indicated that the Gentburger was the #1 best selling concession food item at Tokyo Fite! Buoyed by the Gents' innovative sales ad (pictured below), the Gentburger managed to generate higher sales numbers than any other item on sale in Tokyo!
Reached for comment, the Gents released the following official statement:
"It's a fantastic thing to hear when you're able to do something like this for your fans. I know our critics say that we're using our popularity to line our pockets, but let me tell you a bit of a secret. Our dedication when it comes to our products is a great product at a fair price. We know that concession stands have a reputation for rocketing up prices, but we will do whatever it takes to make sure that the Gentburger is an affordable, filling alternative in every venue that we wrestle in. We couldn't do this without our fan support, and we thank you, the fans, for making the Gent Brand what it is today."
Business insiders are now speculating that fast food chains could be considering contracts to distribute the Gentburger nationwide! Such a deal could represent a tremendous windfall for the Gents, but would also mean giving up that personal touch that has made the burger such a hit in the first place. While the Gents have kept quiet about taking the item national, questions remain about whether the exclusivity of the item will continue to work long-term, as the Gentburger can only be purchased in arenas where the Gents perform.
At any rate, we here at Action Wrestling would like to congratulate the Gents and look forward to bringing you additional news stories from Action Wrestling!
