Post by Kitsumi - RIP 2021 to 2023 on Jul 11, 2021 20:01:53 GMT -5
Kitsumi sits in the Dean’s waiting room, looking down once against at Hideyo’s tweet from yesterday.
The tears don’t flow. Sadness has never been her go-to emotion anyway.
Happiness is much easier to sift into, even if it's not appropriate.
“The Dean will see you now…” the receptionist’s shrill voice says.
She’s not very good at hiding her disgust.
Despite that, Kitsumi still looks up and smiles at her, adding a tilt of the head for funsies.
She throws her backpack over her shoulder and enters the Dean’s office. Hideyo is sitting in one of the chairs across from his desk, the rage on her face suddenly growing at the sight of her.
Kitsumi just smiles.
Behind the black-haired schoolgirl, Edelia places her hands on her shoulders, keeping her in place.
The Dean is sitting in his chair, his hands folded in front of him. The sun shines through the window behind him, illuminating his silhouette like some kind of angel protecting his face from us normal humans.
But it’s a lie.
Like everything Dean Don does it’s all for show to hide his true intentions.
Those intentions are also why Kitsumi isn’t worried about how this will go.
“Ah, Miss Kitsumi, thank you so very much for joining us. May I over you a seat?” Don asks.
Kitsumi does not respond nor take his offer. She opts to look at Hideyo with a smile across her face.
Said girl's seething and Edelia’s tightened grip is enough satisfaction.
“Of course not,” Don says. “Right, well, safe to say we all know why you’re both here?”
“Because Hideyo doesn’t understand social media etiquette,” Kitsumi says.
“Because what I said made the school look bad so you want me to take it down,” Hideyo says as well.
Don nods once.
“Wrong on both accounts. Not surprising given the situation we’re in,” he says.
“You mean the situation where a fucking murderer is still roaming the halls freely?” Hideyo asks rhetorically and sarcastically, to which Kitsumi is impressed she can multitask like that.
Don smacks his hand palm first onto his desk.
“Miss Edelia, if Hideyo mutters one more word than you know exactly what to do,” he says.
Hideyo narrows her eyes but otherwise doesn’t speak up.
“Hideyo, what you did goes beyond the scope of calling anybody out. You not only used words kids your age should never be using, but you also called into question the handling of Kitsumi and her situation. Just in case it wasn’t clear…”
Edelia grabs Hideyo by the back of her head, tightening the grip around her hair.
“Ow! What the fuck you bitch?” Hideyo exclaims.
Edelia leans Hideyo back, forcing her to look over at Don.
“…the situation has been handled. Kitsumi understands the severity of her actions and Edelia has been working on her rehabilitation. Your actions were careless and uncalled for because she hasn’t done anything of note recently to justify them,” Don says.
“Get the fuck off me you crazy bi—”
Before Hideyo can finish, Edelia yanks her head back, forcing the girl to look into the older woman’s deep blue eyes.
“Should you ever do something like this ever again, Hideyo, than the consequences will fall on you, not Kitsumi. And if I ever so much as hear a peep from your two cohorts about anything discussed in this office than I will personally ensure that no school within this city will take you on,” Don says. “Am I clear?”
“What the fuck is wrong with you fucking people?!” Hideyo shouts.
A harder yank, the edge of Hideyo’s neck now hanging roughly over the back of her seat.
“Am…I…clear?” Don repeats with more edge.
“Yes! Fucking fine!”
Edelia lets go, sending Hideyo forward so she can catch her breath and her bearings. She grips her hair closely before getting up out of the seat.
“Fucking crazy! You’re all fucking crazy!”
Hideyo goes to exit the room but stops long enough to bump shoulders with Kitsumi, who barely reacts.
The gothic girl then slams the door shut.
Edelia wipes her hands before approaching Kitsumi.
“Take a seat Kitsumi,” Don orders.
She approaches the chair that Hideyo was seated in, smoothing out her skirt before sitting down.
“You’re antagonizing your enemies,” Don says.
Edelia places her right hand onto Kitsumi’s head, the smile never leaving either of their faces.
“You are a rough case to deal with for multiple reasons,” he says, leaning back and playing with a black ballpoint pen. “What you did was inexcusable but handleable. This isn’t the first time this school has faced something like this, isn’t that right Edelia?”
Kitsumi’s eyes start to widen, but a look from Don causes the woman in question’s hand to tighten around the top of her head. Kitsumi returns to normal, though with the smile straining to remain active.
“It probably won’t be the last if you and Aisuru ever end up getting there.”
The room suddenly feels much warmer. Her heartbeat starts picking up pace and her hands tighten around her skirt.
Aisuru…
“But that won’t happen unless you stop pissing your enemies off. Those three girls have more on you than you know, especially Chinami, and we both know that’s who Hideyo and Minami listen to.”
Don sighs. He tosses the pen back onto the desk before looking towards Edelia.
“Continue the process as is. Let the school day pass as you normally would, but I want your interactions with the three of them decreased. Yes, that means even if Chinami is around Aisuru, even if that might be harder to do.”
Kitsumi opens her mouth, but Edelia increases her grip on her head as if she knew.
Somehow she did.
Kitsumi’s mouth closes. She looks into the Dean’s eyes and nods, or tries to with the grip on her cranium.
“Excellent. You may leave.”
…..:::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::::…..
The door to her house opens. Kitsumi enters and places her shoes on the mat against the wall. She walks further in and turns towards the living room.
She finds her mother and father, looking at her with their arms crossed.
Huh. For once they actually seem like they’re on the same page…
