HAVOC RUMBLE
DETAILS & INFORMATION
DETAILS & INFORMATION
What:
Havoc
It's a Royal Rumble, over the top rope elimination (no pins and submissions so don't stress!)- where the winner gets the WORLD TITLE shot at Ash Blake at Evolution IV (in June, our Wrestlemania!) This PPV is FUN and DIFFERENT in the sense that it's displayed over the course of around 2 hours in DISCORD. The show is still posted on the forums afterwards, but the best part is that this show is ran line by line from just the announcers perspective as if it's really happening!
There are tons of fun moments, storyline moments, intrigue, and excitement for almost every character!
When:
Havoc is LIVE in Discord on Sunday, May 30th at 1pm PACIFIC time (US) [4pm EST]. There is a half hour pre-show that has some fun moments, AND some world building HYPE as there will be a few fun things revealed!
RP Window and Deadline:
Roleplays will begin when you see the NEW SUBFORUM for Havoc Roleplays. That should be sometime Monday evening, May 17th right when our go-home show Clash is posted! Deadline will be Thursday, May 27th at 3pm Pacific [6pm EST] with a one hour soft-deadline push. Meaning, if you communicate with TORTURE or GRAVEDIGGER, you may be given an extra 60 minutes to post. You have 10 days, so use them wisely!
NEW THIS YEAR:
Secret Roleplays have been usually posted by Action Reel account/admins and it was up to the handler to keep it secret or reveal it within their roleplay. We are NOT doing that this year. Instead, you can send your Secret Roleplay to "Secret Havoc Roleplays" and they will be judged by the admins with the rest of the RPs. This way, it keeps the secret entrants during the show a lot more secretive and a lot more fun for everyone involved. Because of this, YOU have a different deadline.
All secret RPs need to be posted before Wednesday, May 26th at 9:00pm PACIFIC [11:59 EST]. How do you know you're secret entrant? Because you have talked to TORTURE directly. Is your name on the list on the Havoc card? Then you're not a secret entrant. There are ONLY a handful of secret entrants, do not think you can just post secondaries and stuff like that. PLEASE communicate with Torture if you'd like to be a secret.
All of the secret RPs will be posted as soon as Havoc is finished and the result is uploaded to the boards.
You get ONE roleplay - 4k HARDCAP.
Who are the Judges:
Torture, Gravedigger and Der Metzger. (Pasternak will be asked opinion SOLELY from Torture, IF the situation calls for it. He's a backup plan)
- For transparency: Dandy, Spencer, and Pasternak do NOT have the login-information for SECRET HAVOC ROLEPLAYS account, and will NOT be judging or scoring.
Frequently Asked Questions:
Do you judge the secret RPs heavier or less than ones posted on the RP forums?
- No, we don't do any of that. All Roleplays are judged fairly and equally whether you're here for a short stint or a long stint. Case in point: Mikey X won our Havoc II match and was only here for 3 matches. Secret RPs are scored just like every other RP. Secret entrants are to pop the chat and the roster members.
Do you score higher for RPs posted later? Do you score LOWER for RPs posted earlier?
- No score is changed based on WHEN you posted your roleplay. The judges and admins come together after deadline and rank and score through all roleplays. Most RPs are read MULTIPLE times. Some, even four and five times. We take this very serious. It IS encouraged to get your roleplay up whenever you can! For maximum affect and readership from your peers, friends, and fellow roster members; posting early can help you in that aspect!
I'm going to write my roleplay, what the hell are you looking for? How do I win this thing?!
- We're looking for a cohesive story from start to finish that showcases match relevance, your characters story-arc and sprinkled with shoot. Top finishers are always the ones where no one exits or merges out of their lane. What do I mean by this? Simply put: I'm not looking for your character to do anything out of the norm, or be someone he/she truly isn't. If you end up sounding like someone else, or sounding like an entirely different character, that could hurt you! (This goes for every week, every show when it comes to judging/scoring!)
I know I told you I was in it, Tort, but I dunno if I'm going to get an RP posted! Real life is crazy!
- Hey! That's ok! Real Life is always more important! PLEASE tell me this as soon as you know it. I know, you may not be able to inform me until almost deadline, but please, the better communication we have the better ideas I can come up with to draw around you missing out! This is a show and we want it to be fun for everyone!
I'm just not confident I'd do well, why should I RP for this match?
- You'd be surprised if you truly try and make a valiant effort and what could happen in a match like this! I'm not saying QDT wasn't confident, but this match has made stars before! The fun part about this match is that it happens in Discord in front of the entire roster LIVE line by line! So big moments, feel-good moments, and story-line moments are made and shared and that makes it all that much more enjoyable! Sometimes just finishing in the top ten could give you so much more momentum, and it could give you a much better feel for how AW runs and works! Plus, look at it this way; its over the top rope.. no one is getting pinned, no one taps out, so in a way no one really loses. No one shoots on anyone actually throwing someone over the top rope!
I have a storyline and a match for Evolution already, so you probably won't score my RP very well regardless?
You already informed me of a match I could possibly have at Evolution, so why should I RP?
Lets be real, I didn't win last time at Havoc cause I already had a match at Evolution planned, right?
Duder, I'm a Champion on another show, you're not going to score my RP as the winner, right?
I will score your RP just like the rest of them / You should always try to win! / and that's WRONG. / AND WRONG.
Whether you have an advertised match (in your PMs) or you think you have a feud lined up with someone at Evolution DOES NOT MEAN we just skip your roleplay. EVERYONE has the fair chance of winning. Know whats cooler than having one match at Evolution? HAVING TWO MATCHES. Don't think for one second that I won't merge storylines, or find a way to make something work. I will. Its pro wrestling.. theres turns organically and twists and turns that we can create too! Everyone has a fair shot at winning. I say this because HAVOC only comes once a year (The CW in December is fun too!) but this is the big deal and Its a huge accomplishment.. so we take it serious and everyone has a fair shot/chance at winning!
Be real: Tell me something fun that happens for a guy who gets eliminated within the first 15 entries.
Ok, easy. So you didn't finish in the top ten, oh well, right? Almost every elimination, and almost every moment in the match is written for someone specifically. For example, last year someone entered the Rumble and was only in it for a few minutes before his rival from the last few weeks came out after him, rushed down the ramp and eliminated both of them! It set up their Evolution match just perfect. It's just not a match built for the top ten or top guys, you'll be surprised at how many call backs, references, and storylines are merged and meshed into this match! Also, sometimes you can randomly team up with another entrant and you'd never realized you just may have chemistry with the guy. A lot of top tag teams came from random pairings during Havocs! Karlie Nash had a huge moment when she eliminated OG Bishop who was 300+ pounds. It showed Karlie as a stronger than usual babyface with fire!
OG Bishop has tripped running down the ramp a few years in a row!
Bonnie Blue once feuded with PW:K stable and she eliminated all three of them in a huge moment early on too!
Like I said, tons of story references, fun moments, and big time stuff that happens from start to finish.
Is the whole elimination order the way you have judged each and every RP?
I'm just going to say the final 10 are the TOP 10 RPs. Anything from 11th and on is just a mixture of timing, luck, and storyline reasons. You may have a 13th type Roleplay and be eliminated in a HUGE spot early - this is where its just a matter of timing and professional wrestling. Don't get bummed or buzz-killed, its just a match! You always have something to look forward to coming out of this.
---- Match Writing Info ----
The match is written on Friday Night and all day Saturday by Torture with heavy ideas/booking from Gravedigger and Raging Dead. No one but those three know moments, results or the winner.
For anyone else who has questions or comments, please feel free to ask in this thread.. I'm sure theres PLENTY of roster members that will help you with the answer and confidence and of course I'll be checking every day to inform you!
