I think the stake is pretty clear and threatening to kick Lissie out is overkill. Ash clearly has faith in Lissie being able to beat Howard, she wants to prove that Lissie is *willing* to put down Howie for Philidor.

I think the stake is pretty clear and threatening to kick Lissie out is overkill. Ash clearly has faith in Lissie being able to beat Howard, she wants to prove that Lissie is *willing* to put down Howie for Philidor. I feel like I put this into poor words lol. My thought was not "That's it?" so much as it was me thinking "Well why wouldn't Lissie and Howie just not go along with the match and/or make a farce of things"? Like, there's an obvious implication that Lissie's position in Philidor is tenuous, don't get me wrong, but it feels like...for lack of a better word, there's no motivation for Lissie to hurt Howie beyond winning the match. Not saying one would lay down for the other or anything, but it seems like them having a match with each other, while it would certainly be awkward, would be able to be something that they could do without harming each other and maintaining plausible deniability. I'm not trying to say that like I'm criticizing the angle or anything! But that was what was going through my head when I was thinking about the presentation. Like it still feels like both characters have options to resolve this conundrum without doing harm to each other (Although if the point of this is that it Ash is giving them the option to resolve this peacefully to test their loyalty, then I'm stating the obvious here anyway).
