We open on a wall of pictures of all of Soldado Fortuna’s previous tag partners. Each picture has had a red X drawn through it. The camera pans out and into the room walk Soldado Fortuna and Victoria Richardson.
Richardson: Isn't it amazing that the instant Soldado is free from being encumbered with unreliable tag team partners, suddenly the fog that was starting to drift over him is lifted and he goes out there and convincingly beats two opponents at the same time.
"I've been saying this for weeks on end now, yet still some had the audacity to suggest that Soldado's tag failings were on him and not his endless stream of terrible partners"
"I don't just stand here looking gorgeous and make statements without true conviction. No, I stand here looking gorgeous and tell you all the truth, without fear of it coming back to bite me because I know Soldado's actions and abilities will back up my words"
"Right now, all the talk out of my mouth has been about our desire to capture the Cruiserweight title. After all, what the fuck would we be doing here if we didn’t want that championship around Soldado's waist? Now, we could sit here and wait to be given an opportunity...or we can be proactive and create an opportunity for ourselves. We are going to make Soldado simply undeniable. We are going to beat every member of this roster until there is no choice but to grant Soldado the chance to fight for the belt"
"Every roster member that we go through is just another step closer to that title being ours and we intend to take two giant steps forward this week in our triple threat match"
"The first of them is Tsukiko. Exactly what have you done since you returned from your little hiatus? Well, you beat Alex Scott, something Soldado has now also accomplished. You beat JC Keeton, that's a big win, right? Well, it would've been had it not come with an enormous asterix attached to it. And then there's two noble, close losses to Lissie Hope and Regan Voorhees but hey no shame in losing to two of the division's best, much like how there will be no shame in you tapping out to save your arm being ripped from its socket"
"Your calling card is your striking power and, yes, I’m not going to lie, it is rather impressive...but it is also what will bring about your demise in this match. When we take away your strikes, Tsukiko, where do you go? What, do you think you’re going to out Lucha libre someone like Soldado, who’s had that in his blood and woven into his DNA his whole life? Only someone as foolish as your manager would even entertain that as a possibility"
"So, go on Tsukiko, bring out your warrior spirit, tell them to come out and play...I just hope your inner warrior’s prepared to fall on their sword once Soldado has slayed you"
"And then there’s CJ Phoenix. A man who laments the state of this division. A man who thinks he’s the phoenix that this division needed to rise from the ashes and restore prestige to CruiserClash"
"A little over a month ago, in the last match you had under the CruiserClash banner, you had the opportunity to make yourself the number one contender to the title and the chance for you to prove that you were indeed the man this division needed at the head of the table. That was your moment, CJ. All you had to do was win the damn match CJ. And what did you do?"
"You failed. You spoke all this rhetoric about the state of the division, only to fuck it up when you had the chance to do something about it"
"You’re right about the division needing a shake up for its own benefit...but you’re wrong about who it is that needs to lead that shake up. The person ain’t the man you see in the mirror, it’s the man who’ll stand across from you in that ring, Soldado Fortuna...and he’s going to use this match to prove exactly why"
