Gimmick: ICON
*Summary*
The Icon is the special main eventer who comes around on occasion, shakes things up, and draws both money and attention. Being closely related to the “legend” type, but without wrestling weekly or even monthly. The icon is all about big names, big feuds and big events.
~ Survival ~
Loss: 5
Booking: 5
Burnout: 1
Longevity: 1
The Icon is invulnerable simply because they are outside the meta. Traditionally someone whos been gone a long time and no longer active and will most likely be using storylines. However, real life burnout and the amount of time you put in to get there will be the challenge
Survival Rating: 2 of 5
Tier placement: Legend
If you are fortunate enough to have an icon, tier placement is pretty much whatever you want but no matter where you are on the card or your opponent, it will be a high card match because of the character’s star power and recognition.
Fed Utility: The pop, the thrill, the rub, anything and everything. You are a reflection of the company and values from the time when you were active. You exist to highlight and shine whatever you touch.
Pros: survival, ease of schedule.
Cons: You as a handler will have to go through a lot and endure for a long time. You are the legend but a special attraction. You come with the same flaws and strengths
*Breakdown*
Ease of use: 5 of 5
If there was a step higher than the legend, this is it and what sets you apart is that you dont have to keep going every week. Its on your terms
Creativity level: Max
This is what the legend becomes when they decide to hang it up.
Experience level: Legend +
Shoulda started this 10 years ago..
Writing skill: High
Not only do you need the Legend’s resolve, you also need to be able to show that you still got “it.”
Overall recommendation: 1 of 5
Not something I can recommend because of the real-life impact that it’s going to have on the handler. If you’re at this point, it’s not so much fun or a hobby, it’s who you are and you can’t quit now. The character might be invulnerable but the same cannot be said for the handler.
