As the scene fades slowly into view from black, the viewer is greeted by a warm sight, A large, lush recliner sits next to a coffee table, upon which sits one half of the Cruiserweight Tag Team Championships.
Rather apt, isn’t it?”
The speaker, Teo Blaze, stands up from the recliner, crossing his arms as he stands over his championship. His expression is strange, a combination of several emotions, but he continues.
Look me in the eye and tell me I haven’t delivered.
We’re a far cry from those days, the layers of comedy stripped away. Flop, Trey Bouchet, hell, even Red White and Bruised. They are still here, but they’re a far cry from the punchlines they once were. I look at this roster, I look at Cruiserclash, and I see hunger. I feel it!”
Teo slams his hand on the table, the force almost cracking it, yet his expression is not one of anger, but crazed and wild.
It feels good, doesn’t it? It makes you feel strong to embrace it. It helps you blow right through your limits!”
Teo stands and turns towards the camera, slowly removing his robe, as it drops to the ground, his torso is revealed. There, in bright red paint, Teo has painted a large, red bullseye directly on his chest.
Which one of you wants a piece?!
I am right here! Who’s first?!
Oh yes, I feel the fire in this roster. I see the desire in your eyes. But you need to make damn sure that you remember one thing!
You don’t scare me.
Cruiserclash may be a shark tank, and I have no doubts that each and every one of you thinks that you smell blood in the water! That you look at me, the big fish in a small pond, and you think you can take a bite!
But you need to know one goddamned thing about me before you take that shot.
After I take your best? I will end you in one second and forget you in the next. I do not care whether you’re a long term veteran like McMorris or an upstart like Daemon, it will always end the same way. Because you had the bad luck to be in this match between me and Kaz Mazy.
And guess what? That means you are in the way.
Ever since I let that belt slip through my fingers, I have been lying in wait. For an opportunity. That belt is all I can see when I close my eyes, and now I finally get a chance to right my only failing since coming to Cruiserclash.
Two consecutive Cruiserhavoc victories? Two simultaneous championships? Defeating the Undefeated Kaz Mazy? And all in the same match?
Teo, that can’t be done. Are you crazy!?”
With a grin, Teo’s eyes narrow ever slightly, firelight flashing in his irises.
I guess you’ll have to take that shot to find out.
But don’t say I didn’t warn you.”
As the scene slowly fades, the last image that can be seen is Teo’s wicked smile, reflecting the light of the roaring flame as the scene fades to black.
