[We open on Victoria Richardson, in a low cut dress, and Soldado Fortuna, in a suit, at a poker table. Victoria is seated with two cards in front of her, face down]
Richardson: Even the most inexperienced of statisticians will tell you that basic probability dictates Soldado Fortuna's odds of winning the CruiserHavoc rumble are 1 in 30. Putting it mildly, those are not great odds of the Cruiserweight championship ending the night around Soldado's waist. Hell, if you were at this table and I told you only one of the next 30 hands you played would win, you'd stop staring at my tits, cash out your chips and head home, terrified at the thought of how much money you would lose.
"I wouldn't blame you. The girls are pretty appealing to both man and woman when they're out and about..."
[Victoria looks down at her cleavage, smiles and looks back up]
"...but more to the point, in acknowledging those odds, you have accepted that you cannot win and there is nothing you can do"
"That is what separates you from us. See, we look at 1 in 30 odds and say "Why can't Soldado be that one?" Sure, in this match there will be a host of former and current champions and highly regarded members of the Cruiserweight roster...but why can't Soldado beat them all? In fact, in his time in Action Wrestling thus far, Soldado has already demonstrated he has the skill set it takes to win this type of match"
"His first match showed his opportunistic instincts. His second showed that he is capable of forming and sticking to a game plan that enables success. His most recent encounter with Reo Raijin showed that we will stop at no lengths to have Soldado's name announced as the victor, something that will be amplified even further when a title is on the line"
"That is all without mentioning Soldado's obvious in ring talent, something the vast majority of Soldado's opposition in this match have not experienced first hand. At best, they will have got a glimpse from his performances thus far. Even then, I'm willing to bet most of the established members of the roster still wrongfully view Soldado as a mere rookie not worthy of proper consideration. Oh how wrong they will prove to be. Whilst they all may think they've got themselves a good hand, the reality is, Soldado's is even better."
[Victoria flips her two cards, revealing pocket aces]
"A victory for Soldado in this match will not only cap one of the fastest rises to championship glory ever seen, but will also mark the liberation of the Cruiserweight division. For too long, this division has played second fiddle to the "main" roster. Reserved for bottom billing. Shackled as the little brother of the main roster. From my perspective, it seems that everyone else here has simply accepted that as our position...everyone but us, the ones that know what it means to free ourselves of the shackles holding us back."
"Soldado is the man to change this perception of the Cruiserweight. Not only is he an immensely skilled wrestler, not only will he will bring proper prestige to the Cruiserweight championship, but his excellence will necessitate everyone else train harder and develop their craft further should they want to stand any chance of de-thorning Soldado"
"The result? A division of much improved talent that is simply undeniable as the best in Action Wrestling...and all of it with myself and Soldado at the head of the table. So, when Soldado is throwing you over the top rope, allow the initial disappointment to wash away and recognise it for what it truly is: The start of your liberation"
"It's time for our narrative to begin its next chapter, one that starts with Soldado Fortuna capturing that Cruiserweight championship...May the odds forever be in Soldado's favour"
[Victoria gets up to leave but stops]
"Oh and one last thing..."
[Soldado reaches into the pocket of his suit and pulls out a card. He flicks it onto the table, where it lands, revealing itself to be an ace. Victoria smiles]
"We've always got an ace up our sleeve"
