Trey Bouchet sits atop a ringpost to plexposit.
“There was a time I’d have fought to be first in a Battle Royal. It’s the stip that’s right in my wheelhouse. Tossing people around a ring is what I do, and it’s easy to plextrapolate that to throwing them out of it. So, the best way to demonstrate my suplexpertise would be to start early and eliminate as many as possible, right?"
He chuckles ruefully.
“‘Course, I also believed a suplex match would be a cakewalk. Then Teo Blaze proved me wrong. I can’t let that hubris screw me over again. I need to win this qualifier because it gives me the best chance at CruiserHavoc to become Cruiserweight Champion. You come in 30 and you’re fresh. Odds are there’s only a few challengers left to focus on. It’s a hell of an opportunity, and one I can’t let slip by. None of us can. It’s something none of us deserve.”
The Cajun Catapult crossed one knee over the other and rested his arms against the ropes for balance.
“Not even Karlie Nash. John Thomas will plexcoriate me for that take. Sorry JT: your girl’s overhyped. I’ll give her props for surviving the Action Wrestling meat grinder. But deserving of being on its Mount Rushmore? Nah. Red White and Bruised’s success is because of serendipity, not talent. She and Nikki Vaughn are two hothouse flowers that wilt whenever they face real competition for real stakes. See Turmoil when they couldn’t defend the belts against the Two Gents and Chaos with Heroes and Zeroes. Karlie shit the beds solo at Plexecution and XIII versus Spayde Martinez, and was a non-factor in the All-In Ladder Match at Uprising. That one really stings. I could have had her spot and made something of that chance. Karlie didn’t. Blame Martinez all you want but the truth is Nash was overmatched long before the Woman's Champ interfered. And we can certainly fault Nash for not dishing out any kind of receipt on Spayde for her bullshit. It’s failure after failure for her, and still she’s one of the most complacent workers in Cruiser Clash. I swear she only researches her opponents if it’s a woman and she’s looking to find what porn star to cast in her Brazzers produced biopic. Nash thinks she can get by on her name alone and at the Super Show I will plexpose her to reality: she can't.”
Trey’s sneering plexpression softens.
“I hate saying this but Nidrah is complacent too. She’s more interested in hyping the Beautiful part of her moniker than the Warrior. That’s gotta change. She left the main roster to come here, and so far her reason seems to be because she felt the workload would be lighter. It’s time for Nidrah to prove that she belongs on Action Wrestling’s A show. She’s not only representing herself and her culture, but her Pineapple Promenade dance partner Azurine Vebbins. SarongStrong has to be more than a Twitter hashtag. Nidrah must show the fighter under that gorgeous plexterior, or head to Instagram.”
A smile forms on Trey’s face as he praises his last opponent.
“Sierra Silver is neither lazy nor overhyped. Si has been looking for her moment to stand out for months. She challenged WALTER! She took a leap of faith by switching partners to win the CruiserClash Tag Titles. There’s no denying her passion, but it’s her heart that’s hurting her because by listening to that instead of her head she’s lost. As brave as she was to fight the Mongrel she wasn’t prepared for him, and that could have ended her career; and aligning with her (plex?)-boyfriend, that scrub Dick McCoy, kept her from Tag Team gold. If she keeps doing that, all that talent and drive will be wasted. ”
“Not me. I’m thinking clearly. It’s not about heart, or putting on a show by ‘respecting the ‘plex’. It’s about winning this match so come CruiserHavoc I’m in the best position to be the last wrestler standing. This four way qualifier is going to be a preview of how I’m going to approach Havoc because I’m suplaying it totally straight. ”
