Let’s be uncompromisingly blunt.
Soldado Fortuna
You’re being influenced and lead to slaughter and you’re enjoying the journey. That’s what it’s like to be on the puppet end of a manipulator.
You’re oblivious to one Victoria Richardson and I’m the protagonist that’s going to lead you into the light.
The sledge hammer becomes an extension of Raijin. His fingertips feeling the grain of the wooden handle. WHAM! With a single stroke he caves in the hood of the old car.
“Victoria has stated that you have one of the sharpest minds, yet you accept her words as truth.”
“Victoria has stated that you hold your cards close to your chest, yet you ignore the queen of hearts.”
Reo loosens his grasp and allows the sledge hammer to drop to the ground.
“Soldado, I get it. I really do. A girl that looks like that. Some would think you’re a lucky man. She’s a trophy, right?”
“She’s not just a beautiful looking girl. Her words flutter like the wings of a butterfly landing entangled within the web of a spider. A pleasing web of lies.”
Raijin flexes his hands that held the instrument that so easily inflicted the damage upon command.
“From Walter Scott and I quote, Oh, what a tangled web we weave...when first we practice to deceive.”
“Soldado you’ve tragically failed to comprehend the gravity of your loss at XIII. You stood inside of THE ring at an event that’s been one of the most sought after moments in this industry.
Vickie stood ringside and wailed her tsunami of tears as I adapted to the rules and utilized them to attain the victory. It was and forever will be a career defining moment.
How did Victoria spin that one? How did she convince you that your career, your life inside of this business, wasn’t dramatically discredited?”
Raijin turns and rest his hand on the hood of the vehicle that had been forever changed by force of a singular action.
“Any man laying with his back on that canvas at XIII would have been overwhelmed with guilt. Yet, you strolled into CruiserClash as though nothing happened. Perhaps you’ve become accustomed to that end of the business.
I will be the first man to bid you well done for your victory and rebounding from that monumental loss. Maybe you simply weren’t aware of the history and prestige of that event. If that may be the case then you’ve already greatly failed to appreciate the history of this business and the company, Action Wrestling.
Regardless, of the ignorance or the lack of respect, we’ll step into that ring and do this song and dance once more. This time it will be me who has to recover from the shame of defeat.”
Raijin bends down and grabs the wooden handle lifting it within his hands once more.
“I’ve spoken of loss and shame. Victory and defeat. I’ve talked of the web of lies in which you find yourself. Soldado, I’ve been honest with you and I’ve given you the deserved credit that you earned.
Mutual respect or not I offer just one thought for you to ponder. Does Victoria Richardson have the best intentions for you and your career or only for her own intentions?”
The American Luchador tightens his grasp.
“Soldado, yes, I verbally abused you before XIII and attempted to humiliate you. In this business that’s what we do in an attempt of one ups man. It’s foreshadowing what we will attempt to do within that squared circle in which we compete.
There are times, however few, that real respect develops between competitors between those ropes. What you were able to do at CruiserClash after XIII?
I’m going to be really honest with you right now, Soldado. Something that is rare in this business.”
Raijin turns and slams the end of the sledge hammer into the hood of the car, again.
Beware the fury of a patient man – John Dryden
“Soldado Fortuna, Victoria Richardson has manipulated you with discreet well placed words.”
Raijin begins releasing his grasp of both the sledge hammer and his charade.
“You’re easily manipulated Soldado.
Screw you!
I’ll never respect the easily fooled.”
