A big thank you to Claire Hawkins for being my guest this week. Unfortunately I ran out of space on my laptop and lost the last portion of the questions. I will try to answer the missing bits from memory tomorrow (maybe Claire can help me). CruiserClash Recap Clash Recap 1 Clash Recap 2 Predictions Questions

Of course, something would go wrong! It's just my luck! lol
Hopefully, I can remember what was said and write something down (albeit slightly more condensed version). However, I will leave QDT's questions alone as I can barely remember what I said for my questions lol
Hopefully, this will take care of things.
Here goes!:
Can I say pretty everyone? Like, pretty much of the returning people such as Lane, Omega, O'Neal, and such are completely new to me. However, if we are talking about new new people then I would definitely have to say Gail, Shaw,, Nightingale, Baker, and pretty much anybody else.
All I can really say is that you need to really know and understand the character in which you are writing. When you do then it is basically just one big character riffing session and you can make just about anything work as long as it doesn't completely go against the character/overall gimmick that you're trying to work.
I would have to say the original All-in qualifier against Camilla. It was a good showing despite the loss and it allowed there to be the statement of "Hey, I'm Claire Hawkins and I'm here to stay!".
The original plan was to have Hawkins return at the post-Evo edition of Clash, but it was decided to change things a bit when prompted with a feud possibility. Unfortunately, things fell through and things di not continue. Though it can at least be considered to be a highlight of the preshow lol
The simple answer is the potent combination of efed/mental fatigue and real-life stresses; I was dangerously short on funds following the holiday season and I needed to work another job to help secure my bills. However, after Covid-19 came along, I was able to develop the creative desire and inspiration that I needed. Plus, my mental health was on something more of a positive note.
It's changed on a rather large scale in that there is definitely MORE of just about everything. There is more people, more talent in the pool of creativity, more world-building things, and just a more complete sense of a community. It is something that I feel proud of being a part of, even if it has mainly been from the perspective of an outsider looking in. Good stuff!
Absolutely! Between the witch hunts from way back when till the constant bombardment of the pop culture imagery. Witches are people too ya know! lol
To just be around and maybe be something people enjoy reading!

I thought this was supposed to be a retirement party? WTF, Q? C’mon, Man... But in all seriousness, great job as always QDT. Hope you tipped the barber for leaving your elephant ears? LOL J/K
For me, personally, in my opinion, I would say that your episodic Red Rising RP series definitely solidified your character, Claire Hawkins, as one of the dominant forces in AW. I would compare the rise of Claire Hawkins to the rise of Lissie Hope. You just knew that Claire and Lissie were strong female characters on the same level of Bonnie Blue, Camila González, and L Verez and were destined for success.
Your performance in the first All-In Ladder Match at Uprising against the likes of L Verez, Shadowlove, Spencer Adams, Ryan Lockhart, Kyle Kemp, Sidney J. Warwick, Camila Gonzalez, Corey Black, and Dune definitely solidified your Claire Hawkins character match wise witch, pun intended, in turn, was one of the major catalysts for your amazing 51 day run as Television Champion.

My missing responses -
1) Flawless swerve this week, man. When did you decide you were going to take us on that emotional journey, and how did you construct it? Was Corey Black involved?
The retirement was a genuine thought for quite some time. With the probable (yet heavily delayed) new managerial job and baby number 2, I can't be having all the late nights e-fedding that I have been having.
Also, because my appendix basically burst while writing the Jacqui Monroe match RP (plus the Evo 3 RP debacle), I had a heavy feeling about RPing.
I spoke to some trusted people and put the poll about QDT up and was shocked by the positive engagement in him as a character.
I decided that this is a hobby, and community, I didn't want to say goodbye to. I couldn't just stick around OOC either - I'd still want to create. I just need to be smarter with my time and not procrastinate on RPs.
Eventually I settled on staying. I drew on these real life emotions in the fake retirement.
Also, Corey Black and I have been discussing an angle for months and I'm excited to test myself against him 1 on 1 and collaborate together.
We had the BENEFACTORS plan for a while but were struggling with the timeline of the reveal. I felt this fake retirement angle was notorious and full of emotion to just blow the angle wide open. So, in some ways, it was a fortuitous decision based on real life ponderings. Hope people enjoy it.
2) Is this a 'point of no return' for heel QDT?
No, I strongly believe he can be a comvincing face again. Look at Mark Henry after his fake retirement - people realised they wanted to cheer him!
I have, in my mind, quite a clever justification for QDT's actions that I hope will be believable. Claire Hawkins doubted it on the cast but I think people will find themselves feeling perverse empathy for QDT. I enjoy these character layers where we can still see the humanity in heels and see that they are utterly convinced they have done what is right. Stay tuned 😉
