So I'm trying to run this character, but I can't get any momentum.
Someone tell me what I'm doing wrong, aside from not getting booked enough to make any kind of impact or properly develop the character.
Is he boring?
is he too confined by the restrictions of the Cruiserweight division?
Should I just drop the character?

Probably don't blame sporadical booking for not driving anything home, you've got no cap on show segments, character development and the IT boards, in my own experience getting over usually takes equal measures of all these things and more. A good, non-title feud with a contrasting character will always pull focus. People tend to be their own worst critics though, so maybe just keep putting yourself out there, I say all this having only skimmed the surface of your character though so somebody more in the know might be able to give you more; 'Keep doing this, stop doing that.' Tailored advice.'

I mean, yeah, good points. But I'm awful at segments for various reasons and I have basically no clue where I'm going with this character, so it's hard to come up with anything for character development. I thought I had a feud with someone but they're in the title scene so I'm pretty much at loose ends and I don't know what to do. *shrug*
That's why I was legit wondering if it's just not a good character. Or if I should try him without the 700 word restrictions, maybe that's where I'm failing?
I'm seriously asking, not trying to complain, if that's how it's coming off.

To your points;
- he's not boring
- CruiserClash isn't so much a handcuff as it is a different playground.
You have to find where he fits into that niche if you want to remain on CruiserClash. You'll get championship matches as they come but the thing about the CW division is it isn't ever overbooked and most of the storytelling largely falls on the handler. You really need to find where Archimedes fits into the CW division. It's competitive in its own right but there isn't a huge margin or skill gap in the 700 word confine.
If you're looking to run a more competitive character, then bumping him up passed the CW division is probably going to be your best bet.

If you want to write rps that allow you to explore the idea that Skrue is an investigator of the occult, then CruiserClash doesn't really give you the room to do that. However, CC as a brand has a lot of opportunities for Skrue to do his Lovecraftian schtick in CD and segments.
1. Orrett is an actual supernatural entity who has a large number of exotic trinkets for sale. Maybe there's one Archie covets. 2. Flop and PJPM are so bizarre they might attract Skrue's attention out of concern they've been in contact with "Some Power Man Was Not Meant To Know". Maybe PJPM is SPMWNMTK 3. Sierra Silver holds the Multiversal Championsip, a title that might be better represented by someone with Archimedes' pedigree. 4. Kaz Mazy and Archimedes Skrue against the Cosmic Horror that is Wanda Wicked.
These all rely on other people wanting to work with you, obviously, but I don't think that should be an issue. Archimedes is a great foil for the sillier, more laid back gimmicks that make up CC , and you're one of the best writers in the hobby. Folks should jump at the chance to work with you.

Thank you, gentlemen. You've given me much to consider.
(I still really suck at segments, though. lol)

Archimedes Skrue When I read your role plays I always want to keep reading. Sadly Cruiser Clash has a stupidly low word count. The people who master it have my utmost respect because I sure as hell can't survive in that brand lol. Now, to address your other stuff... 1. He is NOT boring. Others have spoken on this and now I have. 2. It would benefit you greatly to start doing segments. You don't have to do them every week or anything like that, but just enough to keep him fresh in the segment area. I know, I know. You said you're not good at them. Here's the thing; you don't have to be good at them. If I were you, I'd post a wanted ad in the OOC section asking for folks to run a feud or alliance with you. This way you don't have to pull all the weight in doing segments and can have the other person help you with segments. 3. If you still don't want to do the segments, you could write CD pieces at your leisure. You could do a whole alliance or feud with someone via just the CD section which wouldn't have the time restrictions that show segments do. Just keep Torture, Digger, and admins in the loop so they can promote it in matches and stuff. 4. Utilize the AW Twitter internet board on here. Promote him that way too. Jump on other peoples AW Twitter and shit on them like people have done to Amelia. It's a blast.
