Do you know who I am?
For most of you the answer is probably a resounding "NO".
But I can promise you that come December 22nd you'll never be able to forget me.
I'm not gonna kid myself though and guarantee I walk out of the Cruiserweight Havoc Rumble as champion.
Yeah I know I said the opposite on Twitter but Twitter ain't real.
Do I think I have what it takes to win?
You're damn straight I do but these kind of odds are in nobody's favor regardless of size, speed, skill, or experience.
What I can guarantee though is that I leave a lasting impression on every single person I come in contact with inside that ring.
As much as I'd love to leave Philly with gold the likelihood of that happening is pretty slim, unlike Freddy Funk.
I warned you Freddy, your loud mouth lardass started it but I'm gonna finish it.
Honestly though every second I spend wasting my breath talking about someone who doesn't deserve my focus like you is a misstep on my part.
There's 28 other people more worthy of my time than a fat piece of shit like you who has no business in the match to begin with so I'll move on.
I know it's a common theme to bring up the champ, Raging Dead's age and even though he is older than my Dad I see that as a benefit more than anything.
Dude's got more experience than 75% of the field combined, he knows every trick in the book and probably invited some of them.
He's one of the favorites to win and he might be but that's a big ass target he's gonna be wearing to the ring and favorite or not we all got just as much chance as he does.
Ok, maybe not all of us.
I hear this Cecilia Ortiz chick has never had a match before.
That's rough, I mean I'm only 17 matches into my own career but that's 17 times the experience she's got.
Shit, she's still got a better shot than Freddy though.
I hear QDT and Derrick Vayden have been the cornerstones of the Cruiserweight division in Action.
In the lead up to the Triple Threat last week Vayden sounded to me like a man who knows his time is over because while he may use words that make him seem confident they came out as flat as Geri Miller's chest.
Someone had to say it, she ain't got no tits!
Then QDT is on this mission to regain the title he made matter and return the division to its past glory.
The thing is, and this goes for both QDT and Vayden, you can't move forward if you're stuck in the past.
It's time to pass the torch and I'll be happy to take it and use it to light this bitch on fire like it's never been through either of your storied reigns.
The remainder of the entries in this thing have nothing that sets them apart and makes them stand out to me.
Doesn't make them any less of a threat.
As for me?
I've been overlooked and ignored by the masses.
I guess you could say I'm the darkhorse.
Not really sure how when you consider my bloodlines.
Father, Mother, two uncles, an aunt and three cousins have all lead very successful careers inside the squared circle.
My old man was the cream of the crop, beating legends all over the world during a 25 year career.
Including multiple victories over a former AW World Champion.
Does that mean I'll do the same?
Absolutely not the man is a legend and that's hard to live up to.
Then again I could surpass him.
I'm bigger, faster, stronger, and 10x the athlete according to him but even if I can achieve half of what he did I'll consider myself a success.
I've already been Television champion elsewhere but the true test starts here and it starts by winning the AW Cruiserweight Championship.
I never did tell you who I was though…
I'm JC Keeton, the darkhorse that just became the leader of the pack.
