OMFG, El Patrón! I fucking MARKED out in the first 45 seconds after the first Shitfire & Prestigious. lol
Picturing Dandy as T-bag from Prison Break is spot on.
Yeah, I know all about Shadow’s CD kinda holding me back since I have quite an array of characters that you guys want to see more of with a little more match relevant backstory thrown in.
Just thought I’d check on you Frankie, I bet that you’ll never look at Hollywood Boulevard the same way again? lol

Thanks again to Frank for letting me be on the pridecast. That was my first time really being recorded like that. I had a blast and hope some of my more unpopular opinions didn't rub people the wrong way. I did cut some other things out of my notes that could have rubbed people the wrong way lol

Only listened to the question I asked on me thinking I'd plateaued and can tell this will be a great podcast. I'll listen to all of it tomorrow.
To address GD's points, it wasn't really the loss that stung but the lack of thread likes and having no RP of the Week votes. I know that sounds silly and arrogant but the opinion my peers have of my work is important to me.
I'd put so much work into it and, at the time, felt it was one of my strongest RPs. In reflection, though, the shoot was uncertain and it lacked emotional resonance. It was too gimmicky. That shit can work, especially in Cruiserweight, but I have come to realise that 4K RPs need to convey more story, feelings and so on.
BTW I'm certainly not overlooking my recent wins at all. I thought RJ had me beat 2 weeks ago. He did a great RP.
Thanks to both of you guys for your comments and for what seems like a kickass podcast.

This was a hell of a tough week, and the likes and all that are harder to secure when the RP comes in with a bunch all right before deadline. You are a beast, and I dug the hell out of your RP. I wish I'd had time to give you the level of feedback that you gave me, but your work is top notch and anyone who reads your stuff and doesn't immediately view you as someone to emulate is someone that I think has terrible judgment. Keep doing you. Keep building that QDT brand. I felt similarly about the likes and RPotW ballot stuff for my Havok RP (iirc), so I've been in your shoes. It's just one snapshot of your total story. Keep rolling hard and continue blowing us... away with your material. Love you, dude. You're one of the best in this place full of KILLER writers.

Most nights I go to bed like 2am and am absorbed in AW stuff but not so much reading RPs lately. Bad form. I appreciate your words mate and I'm so thrilled for you.

I put you, Wade, Shadow, Lockhart, and Black as some of the people I aspire to be more like. I know I have done this for 20 plus years, but my writing can always get better. Sometimes just reading some of those rps are the reasons I do or adjust certain things. You can ask Shadow, he seems to be my lean on guy. He tends to get me and helps me when I have my moments of doubt. We all get them. Peer recognition is a big part of things. I think I have made had like one mention as rp of the week. IDK honestly. lol But you sure as hell are doing great. I know it seems silly of me to say don't doubt yourself, cause I doubt myself more then I should, but you really are throwing top level work out there. Sometimes the other guys just has the momentum and said something better. But your work is top level man. Dont' ever doubt that.

To address GD's points, it wasn't really the loss that stung but the lack of thread likes and having no RP of the Week votes. I know that sounds silly and arrogant but the opinion my peers have of my work is important to me. That's not the best thing to judge how people feel about your work. I don't think it's silly, I just think you're forgetting about a few things. Not everyone who reads and likes or even loves your RPs will always hit the like button. I had that happen many times when I was active where someone would talk about how great a RP was but they wouldn't hit the like button. I've had that happen with Facebook posts for my farmers market blog among other things posted on there as well. Sometimes people just don't care to hit the like button and it doesn't mean anything bad about it. Other times it's just because they forget. I think another reason might be laziness in part. What I mean by that is because the like button is at the top of the post but people finish reading your RP at the bottom. If there was a like button at the bottom of posts as well, I feel like we would be seeing a lot more likes across the board when it comes to posts. Also, there are just some people in here who only hit the like button on their friends' posts and don't really hit it on other people's posts even if they liked it or even say publicly that they liked it. People can just be weird with the like button.

This was such a great, insightful cast. Thanks for taking the time to do it, Digga, and for all the kind words.
