I've been all about this idea for awhile now. Summarized, and maybe even like an "undercard showcase" type of thing. Couple of mid-carders can main event, and all the n00bs can get their dicks wet.
They would definitely need more match-writing help though.

Nah.
This is just easy booking leading to Evolution, it's called pro wrestling booking 101.
You guys should make it through Evolution 2 and then we'll see what happens.

I've been in feds where this has been done, and honestly what happens is you get an influx of guys who are only around for a week or two maybe a month but when they don't get their world title shot they want they bounce quick and then two months later you realize you have two shows for like 18 active peeps.

Yup.
Lol. A lot of guys being booked for Evolution 2 are also "part time guys too". This is an efed that runs on real life. A lot more guys will be booked for more matches after Evolution, don't get me wrong, but some guys will be cycled in and out.
We've booked 50 guys before, this isn't new territory lol.

Back when I was RPing, I was with a lot of you guys on a second show. I pushed for it countless times in WCF, but after having been on the other side of things helping run AW, helping with booking, and writing matches on this level for the past 15+ months, I can say that it's not an ideal thing to do and wouldn't work like people think it will.
As for how the matches would be written, as someone on the roster side of things, I would be pissed at the idea of summarized matches. It feels like a wasted effort to RP for that. I get that many people just scroll to the end of the match to see who won, but there's also many people who read the match from beginning to end. We'd also have to deal with people being pissed that they haven't been moved up to the main show where the matches are not summarized.
In e-wrestling most people feel that after 2-3 wins their character should be moved up to the main show. It would create a negative view of people who are on the summarized show for more than a month or so.

To be very honest, I’ve enjoyed not being booked much since Havoc. It’s helped me to focus on angles and character development stuff (2 RPs, Internet posts, planning etc.) Of course I miss the weekly competition and definitely understand some people feeling a bit miffed at not being booked more. I just feel there’s so much other stuff to get involved in here and not being booked each week can help to keep us fresh. Also, if you’re absolutely desperate for a match and ask Torture, he’s usually very accommodating of most requests. If not, he’ll give good reasons.
In my experience of e-wrestling, second shows often flop. It’s hard enough to run AW as it is but the guys do a great job.
If we keep growing at this current rate, though, something might have to be done.

Also, if you’re absolutely desperate for a match and ask Torture, he’s usually very accommodating of most requests. If not, he’ll give good reasons. Torture's response a lot of the time to things like this is to either write a segment or write something where you are in the ring and end up beating someone from the jobber roster. That doesn't mean that every single time you submit a segment like this that we'll approve it and put it on the show though. In some cases, it's more important for the person to not be on the show every single week depending on what's going on with their character. We choose not to book everyone every single week for two main reasons: one is to prevent burnout. Unless you're only writing below 2k every single week, most people in the fed will get burned out writing 3k+ every single week. I could go through the roster archive and the current roster and name up to a couple of dozen people who have come to us and said that they need to take a break and it's usually due to burnout. The other major reason is that we'd have possibly double the matches each week on the card if we always booked everyone. We don't have the amount of match writers for that. Tort and myself work 40+ hours per week and have our own businesses we manage so doubling the number of matches we write ourselves plus putting the shows together and judging all those matches would cause us to get burned out. Again, if your character has nothing going on and I mean no titles, no feud, no storylines and you're finding yourself not being booked every week, you should occasionally submit a segment where you beat a jobber in an unsanctioned match. It won't make it on the show every single time, but it will on occasion.
