December 22nd 2014
Darkness fills the scene. The darkness is filled with complete and utter silence until one small click echoes throughout the audio. Slowly the view rotates as a beam of light can be seen reflecting off of small pieces of glass. First seen in the view of the camera are display cases with multiple “Wrestling Championship Federation” Pay Per View posters highlighted in the displays. In total there are eight total display cases and eight different “Wrestling Championship Federation” Pay Per View posters ranging within multiple years. There are two different posters with the title “Television Championship”, one of the posters contain the title of “Tag Team Championship”, four posters with “United States Championship”, and finally the last poster with the title of “World Heavyweight Championship”.
Seen on the walls is also a pair of dark blue wrestling trunks also in a large case with the same colored pair of kick pads beside it. As the camera continues to pander around the displays there is one finally golden display case with a white piece of paper guarded behind the plate of glass. On the paper is one single date followed by a quote written in black cursive. Written on the paper are the following words:
12/22/13
“No one thought that this night would be the end of it all.
We will never forget what Donald did for the WCF Universe.
Cash could not even refuse to give the man a handshake,
even after the two men nearly killed themselves in that ring.
Tonight will be the forever known as the end of an era,
the end of WCF’s American Hero…”
-Marcus Moneybanks
The scene then goes blank after the camera slowly descends down the letter showing the entirety of the protected letter. Slowly the view begins to zoom in more and more onto the black cursive name of Donald Deruty until the view goes black.
The scene opens with a bird’s eye view of a large group of buildings surrounding one long interstate. Buildings with multiple different architectures and signs like “Linq”, “Paris”, “Caesars’’ Palace” and “Bellagio” surround the area as the camera slowly drops from the blue sky. It drops down and focuses on a round structure known also as the T-Mobile Arena.
A shadow comes from the front entrance of the arena as a man with a black leather jacket and dark blue jeans walks out from the structure. The sound of his shoes hitting the pavement can be softly heard as he approaches the camera. Slowly the man runs his hands through his dark brown hair before a smirk crawls upon his face.
“Ah it is amazing to be back in this great city! Vegas will always have a great place in my heart, all the history that sits in the middle of nowhere is amazing to think about. It is insane to think that this amazing thriving city started out as only a trade route to Los Angeles. This city has gone from only being a city known because of a giant ass water wall and is now known as the “City of Lights”. A barren desert that no one cared about is now one of the top travel destinations in the entire United States.
Every year Las Vegas attempts to expand the city and to further develop its place in American history. Recently this amazing building behind me has become its newest attraction here and now it is the home of one of the greatest underdogs of the modern era. This arena is the home of the Las Vegas Golden Knights, the newest addition to the National Hockey League. The Golden Knights joined the NHL this last year and they have completely overcome the odds and are dominating the competition. It is an amazing underdog story and this huge building behind me is the place where it all happens. Throughout history there has been a large amount of underdogs whether we are talking about the Milan High School Men’s Basketball team, Rudy Ruettiger, or the 1980’s United States Men’s National Hockey team, but where there are mainstream underdog stories there are hundreds of other underdogs that go unrecognized from mainstream news or media.
Everywhere in the world there is an underdog defying his or her expectations and proving all of their naysayers wrong. Although rarely do those individuals gain the credit for their amazing accomplishments, this does not nullify the achievements that they have obtained. Whether an underdog is a small boy working all his life to achieve a dream when he is unable to afford schooling or the training that is needed because he doesn’t come from a privileged family, or a young woman that is being trapped in an unhealthy and physical relationship and has a dream to one day potentially own her own business. These people have always been told that they would be unable to amount to anything successful much like everyone on the Golden Knights. They were told that they would not amount to anything but they have proved that they can not only become successful but also become the best in the National Hockey League. It is because of their underdog success that the building behind me is now the most feared place to play in the NHL, and in a little under a week another underdog will call the T-Mobile Arena home.”
The man smirks as he turns away from the camera and faces the main entrance to the T-Mobile Arena. He begins to admire the smooth textures of the outer walls. He looks up at the giant jumbo screen displayed on the outside of the newly built stadium. Flashing in bright lights are the text “Action Wrestling” displaying the events to come.

The sound of keys being typed echoes through the dark and small office. After a few moments of only clicks, silence then once again fills the air. A deep sigh can be heard coming from the man sitting behind the desk as he then proceeds to turn around and face the displays hung behind him.
Ringing begins to echo as the phone sitting on his table begins to go off. The man then swings again towards his desk the angle of the lights revealing the man’s dark brown hair but other facial features are unable to be seen or distinguished. Slowly he reaches down towards the phone and answers the call as he raises the phone towards the side of his face.
“Hey what’s up man?”
The murmuring of the other side of the line can barely be heard but the voice and words cannot be distinguished by the audio. A rather long response is heard on the other side of the phone and slowly the man’s face begins to grow a small smile on his face.
“I really appreciate it! I need to get my mind off of things; it is always tough around this time every year. I think I need to make another visit; “The Guilliano” is like a second home for me! Thanks Allen!”
Once again the voice on the other side of the line responds.
“Definitely, I will catch the soonest flight out. Alright…later man.”
Slowly the man ascends off of his office chair, once again towered in his own shadow created from the dim light in the room. His footsteps echo through the room and the room goes black as the handle of the door can be heard as it is slung closed.
Returning back to the scene of T-Mobile Arena the shot of the jumbo screen begins to zoom out from the “Monday Night Clash” advertisement flashing upon the front of the stadium. The camera then focuses back on the man as he once again faces the camera and again has a smile on his face, but this one is much larger than the one prior.
“Around this time next week I will be entering the squared circle for the first time in nearly five years. Donald “D-Day” Deruty will once again return to action in the world of professional wrestling. It is fitting that I return in the great city of Las Vegas because I have a connection with Las Vegas that goes beyond just vacations, gambling, and drinking. Much like Las Vegas I was seen as nothing but another stop to the final destination. When I first joined the WCF I was not seen as a real threat just a small little stepping stone. Although much like the city of Vegas I continued to work and work until I finally accomplished my goal of having gold around my waist. Vegas did not stop at the first casino but continued to build more and more. I decided that I was not going to be satisfied, so I continued to build my resume with gold and leather. My work was never over until on December 22nd in 2013 I decided to put my entire career and resume on the line in order to destroy something that I thought was wrongful in the WCF. I put everything out there but I could not come out on top, I left that ring and would never be the same individual again. That night would be the last time I ever stepped foot in a wrestling ring…until now.
For the people that don’t know me, I was always known as a huge underdog. Even when I held the WCF World Heavyweight Championship I was seen as an underdog but I am no longer that same man, just like how Vegas isn’t the same trade route it was nearly two hundred years ago. Right now I am no longer an underdog; I am no longer the same Donald Deruty that lost at One on that dreadful night. I am now new and improved and ready to show the world once again that I have what it takes to be on top of the competition. I maybe a few years older, but those four years allowed me to really dwell upon how important wrestling is in my life and I am ready to once again break some noses with a D for Destruction.
Action Wrestling is the perfect platform for me to return back to action. It is not only a platform for be to perform again but it is a federation where I can show past opponents and partners firsthand what I can still do. My first plan is to make my way down the line of opponents in the “Action Wrestling Championship Tournament”. This is another perfect way for me to show everyone that the underdog inside of me is now dead and now a real threat has come to play. After what I have accomplished and achieved there is no way that I can be thought of as an underdog, but if an opponent wants to look at me like I am a joke and underestimate my abilities I will have to remind them first hand. I may not be one of the youngest in the world anymore, but I damn do have a lot of experience over a majority of the competition. I have been in tournaments in the past and have succeeded by nearly winning the Tag Team Championships with a man that I had no past experiences with. Now I have multiple years of experience and should be one of the most feared competitors in this tournament. "
December 22nd 2016
Darkness once again fills the scene as the shadow of the man is once again seen sitting in his office chair with the dim light reflecting behind him. The displays once again hung right behind his head in honor. This time the man is sitting at the desk only with his hand on his chin as he stares down at his desk which is topped with a newspaper.
The sound of a door bell can be heard echoing throughout the room. Slowly the man looks up towards the door and begins to walk out of the door. The light continues to shine dimly and reflect upon the glass of the displays. Quietly you hear the front door open and can hear small amounts of talking and murmuring coming from the hallway as the camera remains stationary. Slowly the voices of the two individuals begin to get louder and more recognizable the closer they get to the room.
“…it’s nice to see you again Hyde. God damn it seems just like yesterday you were filming be being interviewed and even interviewing me! It’s awesome you’re doing movies now a…”
The door is slung closed once again and the voices become unclear and unrecognizable. The two individuals continue to walk further down the hallway, as their voices get quieter and quieter the farther they get from the stationary camera. Slowly the camera zooms in on the date in the letter before completely going dark once again.
The scene returns to Donald Deruty once again standing in front of T-Mobile Arena. The camera once again focuses on his face as he smiles once again before taking a breath and beginning to speak for a third time.
“Recognizable names such as Roy Speede, Adam Young, Alex Richards, and Spencer Adams all stand in my way of strapping that piece of gold around my waist. Although there are also new names such as T.F.K., Beverly Adams, Alexander Pasternak, Laura DaVoe, Vincent, John Frost, Charlie Rossi, Dionysus, Cheyenne, Camila Gonzalez, and my opponent this week Eavan Maloney. I look forward to meeting all of them in the squared circle but first things first I need to focus on my match this week against Ms. Maloney.
Unfortunately there is not much for us to base our match off of. I have learned that you have held multiple different championship gold and that you are no slouch. Multiple championships have been around your waist and believe me when I say I will definitely not underestimate you. I have learned from past opponents that have underestimated me and found themselves lying on their backs looking up at the ceiling lights. You underestimate my size, saying that with a name like D-Day you expected someone taller and larger, but for someone that’s your size surely you would learn to not assume anything. Yes I may not be the strongest competitor as far as brute strength but I will be one of the…STRONGEST…competitors that you will face your entire career.
The more I learn about you Eavan, the more I find that is similar between the two of us. I also have been through tough times and have been forced to grow up a bit quicker than expected. Unfortunately I hate to inform you that you are the underdog in this matchup, and you may always be. I respect the underdog, hell a majority of the time I cheer for them but this time of course will be much different. Your accomplishments say many good things about you Eavan, your different championships in other federations such as CWC and UWE show that you have skill and I praise your hard work. Individuals like us will always be considered underdogs because we aren’t the biggest or strongest competitors to enter that squared circle but that is why we are able to succeed isn’t it? Competitors looked at us and saw nothing but a smaller competitor and let their guard down allowing us to capitalize. Although I am here to prove that I am no longer an underdog, I am here to show that I have the skills to continue to main event a competitive federation like Action Wrestling. I respect you Ms. Maloney but I will bulldoze you to the side if that means that I will be seen as a rightful opponent to the rest of the Action Wrestling roster. Then once I am done with you I will move on to the next opponent and show them why I am no longer the underdog, but instead I am the big dog of Action Wrestling!
The odds are against you Ms. Maloney and I can guarantee you that no one will be cashing out on a bet against me.”
Donald Deruty smirks at the camera once again before turning around and heading back towards the T-Mobile Arena. He slowly opens the doors before gradually entering the arena once again preparing for his week ahead leading up to his Action Wrestling debut.
December 22nd 2017
The scene opens back up to the dark room. Once again for a third time the man is sitting in his chair with the dim light reflecting upon the displays. This time the man is turned looking towards the display cases. The man reaches up and grabs the letter written and placed within the picture frame. He grabs the frame and opens up the back, reaching in to grab the letter.
He then takes the letter in his hands and carefully looks at the written letters. He takes the letter and begins to rip it into multiple pieces in his hands. He then takes the pieces in his hand before rolling to the other side of the small office and begins to throw each piece in a small fireplace on the opposite corner of the office.
The paper begins to burn as the camera turns and begins to focus on the burning paper and flames. He then begins to lean back in his chair before getting up and walks back towards his desk. For a moment the sound of him lifting something off the wall can be heard, but then he is heard walking towards the door as his shadow jumps in front of the camera.
Slowly the camera pans back towards the displays to find the frames with the trunks and kick pads within them on the desk table empty with the trunks and kick pads missing. The camera slowly begins to zoom in on the empty display cases before the scene goes back to complete darkness as the light is switched off. Silence returns.
