Trick Or Treat First Blood Match
4 Jack-O-Lanterns Will Hang From Poles Above the Turnbuckles
Inside are 4 dangerous weapons you're allowed to use!
Adilene Floyd: The following is scheduled for ONE FALL, and it is a Trick Or Treat First Blood Match!! 4 jack-o-lanterns will hang from poles above the turnbuckles... Inside are 4 dangerous weapons you're allowed to use! The object of the match is to be the first to draw blood from your opponent!!
Chris Avery: We see those pumpkins all ready to go hanging from the posts... and inside who knows what could be inside?
Billy: I'll bet a pumpkin with a god damn SWORD would make someone bleed pretty quick!
Chris Avery: This entire affair between these two men started with drawing blood, I think it's only fair that it ends that way!
There's a pregnant pause in the air before the lights in the arena shut down, one by one, with an audible CHOOM as each section goes dark. The crowd sits in unsteady, uncomfortable silence there, in the dark, for a full thirty seconds. And then, cutting through the stilled silence, quickfire staccato burst of kickdrums and shredding guitar in the intro to Slipknot's opus "Before I Forget", and the Tron's image changes to a close-up of a wolf's eye, gold against a black screen, and the animatic changes to bared, slavering lupine teeth, opening, and then biting down; A spray of red blood splatters over the screen as Corey Taylor shouts "GO!!"
"Stapled shut! Inside an outside world and I'm
Sealed in tight! Bizarre but right at home
Claustrophobic! Closing in and I'm
Catastrophic! Not again,
I'm smeared across the page and doused in gasoline,
I wear you like a stain, yet I'm the one who's obscene.
Catch me up on all your sordid little insurrections,
I've got no time to lose, I'm just caught up in all the cattle.
Fray the strings, throw the shapes,
Hold your breath, listen;"
Adilene Floyd: ...From Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 217 lbs... THE PURVEYOR OF ANARCHY... DOWNFALL!!
A spotlight cuts through the darkness to a point on the stage where Downfall's kneels one knee on the stage amid a cloud of pyrotechnic smoke and fog, head bowed, tracing the fingers of his right hand across the ramp, then he slowly raises his head to look at the ring. He's wearing his slashed denim vest with a black hood underneath, pulled up over his head, and, to chilling effect, as he looks up into the bright spotlight over him, smoke rolling onto the stage, it can be seen that his face underneath the hood is hidden behind a white skeletal mask with empty eye sockets, and a long snout culminating in pointed teeth: a wolf's skull.
"I! Am the world before I am a man,
I! Was a creature before I could stand,
I! Will remember before I forget...
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!!
I! Am the world before I am a man,
I! Was a creature before I could stand,
I! Will remember before I forget...
BEFORE I FORGET THAT!!"
In his left hand, he is carrying a long, curved, black iron crowbar. The arena lights brighten, and then, he begins his walk down to the ring, holding the crowbar perched over his shoulder and behind his neck. He cracks his neck to the side in an aggressive manner as he gets to the end of the ramp. Then, he goes around to the ring, pacing over to climb on the apron, and he takes just a moment to breathe it in as he rests a leg on the ropes themselves, and slowly pulls the wolf skull mask up to rest on the top of his head, before pacing to the turnbuckles and ascending, quickly, to the second rope, crossing his wrists in an X. He hops down, taking the skull mask off, shrugging out of the slashed denim vest, and laying the crowbar down in the corner, circling the ring like a shark, tensely pulling on the top rope to stretch.
Chris Avery: Downfall is bristling with intensity tonight, and he looks laser focused, and ready to finally put this issue with Holiday to bed!
Billy: I think that crowbar in his hands says it all, screw the weapons in the pumpkins, he wants to perform a few Billy Corgan hits and Smash some Pumpkins of his own!
Adilene Floyd: And his opponent...
The arena goes dark as the familiar voice of 2Pac interrupts the darkness
"I won't deny it,
I'm a straight ridah,
You don't wanna fuck with me"
Adilene Floyd: ...from Oakland, CA, weighing in at 215 lbs... Representing TAILOR MADE FOR GREATNESS... DOC HOLIDAY!!
A spotlight shines on Doc Holiday as he stands at the top of the entrance ramp, hood up on his black AW wrestling sweat shirt. His head slowly bobs to the music as he walks to the ring looking very focused on the task at hand. Fans reach out to touch him, but he ignores them as he walks to the ring stopping short of the ring apron, pausing for a moment jumps straight onto the ring apron and slides the the middle rope, going to the center of the ring where he embraces the boo's from the crowd with a sly smirk and his arms out.
Chris Avery: These two men have fought in battles for the Hardcore championship, and in a double elimination coffin match at XIII, but Holiday has not backed down, and he has taken Downfall to his limit!
Holiday reaches ringside as Downfall shakes his head, somewhat in chagrin at the perceived ridiculousness of this madman who's declared "WAR" on him. Holiday climbs up on the ring apron and steps into the ring. Holiday stares across the ring at Downfall as the music fades away. There’s a massive “FIGHT FOREVER” chant echo’s throughout the building, and the referee calls for the bell. The bell sounds and instantly Downfall charges across the ring with a running forearm to the face of Holiday sending him crashing to the mat to loud boos. Downfall starts stomping away at Holiday before yanking him back up to a vertical base. Downfall hammers Derek with a right hand before lacing him across the chest with knife edge chop before hurling Holiday across the ring with an irish whip, he bounces off the far side and into a spinebuster by Downfall. The arrogant Downfall laughs Holiday off, dusting his hands with self satisfaction, but as he turns around, Holiday meets him from the mat, bringing his legs up to clamp on either side of Downfall's head and he performs a swinging hurricanrana of the type Kelly Kelly "perfected", culminating with throwing Downfall on his butt across the ring. Downfall looks up with an incensed and perturbed reaction. He shoots to his feet, and he charges at Holiday, only for Holiday to duck a clothesline by doing a Matrix back bend to get out of the way. When Downfall turns in a 180, he is met by an enziguri to the side of the head, almost in bullet time.
Chris Avery: Did you see those moves by Holiday?? He's really stepping his game up.
Billy: You know, something something blind squirrels and nuts once in a while...
Holiday nips up to his feet, and he paces around, letting out a yell to the crowd to get them fired up. Holiday turns back to lift Downfall up, but as he goes for the irish whip Holiday is met by a flurry of right hands which backs Holiday up against a set of buckles. Downfall, aggressive and not kidding around with the former Television champ now, gets in his face and pushes his forearm against the cheek, hauling back with his teeth gritted as he pushes Holiday into an uncomfortable position. The referee starts to lay the count to the Transgressor before Downfall fires Holiday across the ring and into the opposite buckles. Holiday bounces off the buckles and staggers out towards the middle of the ring where he’s met by a front waist lock by Downfall. Downfall hurls Holiday over head with a overhead release belly to belly suplex. Downfall turns to the corner, and starts climbing up to reach for a pole with a pumpkin hanging from it, when he sees Holiday starting to get to his feet, and Downfall snarls a bit. He goes to Holiday and grabs him in a headlock, intending to pound on his forehead and break it open with his bare hands, but Holiday stops him with a boot to the gut, dropping Downfall to his knees. Holiday grabs Downfall's arm and violently jerks him up, flinging him him to the side with an irish whip. Downfall reverses, sending Holiday to the ropes, but Holiday puts on the breaks! Downfall stops, tilts his head at Holiday, then sneers disdainfully at him. He charges at Holiday while Holiday is on the ropes, but as he charges in, Holiday low bridges him and sends Downfall falling over the top rope. Downfall lands on his feet, then slaps the apron, frustrated, but Holiday follows up with a baseball slide dropkick to the chest under the ropes, sending Downfall across the aisle. Downfall groans, and holds his sternum. Holiday climbs out after him, and holds his arms up, yelling to the crowd and proclaiming that he is the future of Action Wrestling.
Billy: You always expected that the future would include shiny jetpacks and robots, but honestly, a lot of the time, the future is a lot more depressing. This ain't Asimov's future, friends!
Chris Avery: Can we do literary and allegorical analysis later, Holiday is raining down punches on Downfall on the outside!!
Holiday lifts a woozy Downfall up, and lands six or seven piston like rights to the forehead before he drags Downfall fully up. He walk him by the hair over to the side of the aisle, driving him head first off the barricade. Holiday brings Downfall to ringside and as he looks to send him into the steel steps but it’s Downfall who reverses and sends Holiday crashing right shoulder first into the steps! Downfall takes a moment to gather his self as the crowd boo’s intently. Downfall makes his way over to Holiday where he reaches down picking him up off the floor and hurling him into the ring. Downfall drops to one knee and goes under the ring apron where he pulls out a kendo stick before rolling into the ring as we see Holiday rolling over to his chest before pushing his self to one knee. Downfall comes forward raising the kendo stick in the air and as he starts to swipe down Holiday, showing a burst of energy, cuts Downfall off with a spear. The crowd erupts as Holiday takes a side mount with the head of Downfall before hammering down with even more right hands before he starts biting the forehead of Downfall!!
Chris Avery: HOLIDAY IS SINKING HIS TEETH INTO DOWNFALL'S HEAD??
Billy: Boy is eschewing the weapons and trying to make Downfall bleed any way he can, he wants this win so bad!! I just... hope they've checked him for rabies, yeah?
Downfall groans and flails his arms, trying to push Holiday away and swat at him. Holiday stops biting Downfall’s forehead as he gets to his feet, looking around the crowd, who are starting to give it up for the Holiday. Holiday shouts for the referee to check Downfall, but the referee avows that Downfall is not bleeding. Holiday snarls, and goes to lift Downfall up. Downfall breaks free with a gouge to the eyes, making Holiday shout and stumble away. Downfall comes forward lacing Holiday across the chest with an open handed chop that sends Holiday back against the security railing. Downfall charges forward with a clothesline attempt only to see Holiday elevate Downfall over the barricade and into the front row with a back body drop. Holiday climbs over the barricade where he meets Downfall with a right hand to the face as he reaches one knee. Holiday snatches Downfall by the hair yanking him down to the end of the aisle where he takes a beer from one of the fans. Holiday takes a swig from the cup... and spits beer in the eyes of Downfall! Downfall yells and scrubs at his eyes, turning away. The fans rejoice as Downfall is blinded for Holiday to take down to the concrete with a clothesline. Security surrounds Holiday and Downfall on the floor as we see Holiday reach down picking Downfall up off the floor but as he picks him up Downfall counters the attempt with a jaw breaker.
Chris Avery: Downfall has been taken off guard by Holiday, who is doing anything he can to hang in this match.
Downfall reaches his feet where he boots Holiday in the midsection doubling him over. A soft drink vender happens to be nearby, and Downfall snatches the tray of drinks from the vendor before driving the steel tray across the back of Holiday causing at least twenty drinks to spill all over his back, as Holiday drops to his knees. Downfall begins laying in a series of boots and clubs, beating a wet and sticky Holiday down. Downfall, amid the crowd, throws his arm back and snarls for the fans not to touch him. Holiday is shown rolling over to his chest where he pushes himself up to all fours which allows Downfall to charge forward punting him in the ribs! The crowd roars with loud boos as Downfall raises his arms in the air arrogantly. Downfall walks up to the apron, climbing up to stand on the ropes, and he pulls down a pumpkin... and opens the carved top of the pumpkin, to find a TASER!! Downfall, holding the pumpkin, hops down, and Holiday, crawling on all fours... comes towards Downfall, who sticks the taser in Holiday's ribs! Holiday falls, and convulses around as Downfall sends volt after volt of shock into him from the arcing pinchers of the taser, and the buzzing sound reverberates through the front row! Holiday contorts in pain! Finally, Downfall puts the taser in his pocket, takes the empty pumpkin which held the taser, and lifts Holiday up to a seated position and puts the pumpkin over his head! Downfall grins, and turns Holiday to face the camera, and Holiday has a carved pumpkin with a toothy smile covering his head!
Chris Avery: Holiday is helpless and his limbs are spaghettified, and Downfall is covering his head up with that jack'o lantern!! What is he intending to do??
Downfall lifts Holiday up by the back of his (pumpkin) head, pulling him up to standing position, and he runs Holiday forward with force and sends Holiday BEAMING into the steel ringpost, headfirst, hard enough to shatter the pumpkin around his head, and send Holiday flinging off like a pinball. Downfall shouts at the referee to check Holiday for blood, as Holiday is stunned and laying on his elbows, dazed. The referee checks Holiday, and waves him off, saying he is not busted open. Downfall snarls and kicks fragments of pumpkin aside. He goes over, and starts to snatch steel chairs from timekeeping. Holiday starts to work his way to his feet. Downfall comes forward swinging the chair at Holiday’s face! Holiday ducks out of the way avoiding the contact. Downfall spins around in the aisle, and suddenly is met with a boot to the midsection by Holiday, causing Downfall to drop the chair. Holiday picks the chair up before smashing it across the back of Downfall with force. Downfall is floored and knocked to his stomach by the impact of the blow. Holiday raises the chair a second time before smashing it across Downfall’s back.
Chris Avery: Every blow raining down with extra hatred, extra angst, all that these two have put each other through.
Billy: And just think, he don't have to bust Downfall's forehead open to draw FIRST BLOOD. Cut on his arm by barbed wire? Stab in the leg with a screwdriver? Papercut between his toes, THE SICKEST INJURY OF THEM ALL??
Holiday throws the chair into the ring before reaching down picking Downfall up off the floor where he runs Downfall face first into the steel ring steps. Downfall rolls over, groaning, and an aggro Holiday steps towards him, shouting that he's got his number. The referee stops him, and backs Holiday down sternly, before looking at Downfall’s face, but he shakes his head and signals no blood yet before stepping back. Holiday comes forward taking Downfall and hurling him into the ring. Holiday dislodges the top portion of the steel steps. He slides them into the ring as well before he himself slides under the bottom rope. Holiday reaches his feet, and he reaches down picking the steel steps up off the mat. Holiday measures Downfall who starts pushing himself up off the mat and to a vertical base. Holiday charges towards Downfall looking to smash Downfall in the face! The crowd roars as Downfall counters with a drop toe hold which sends Holiday face first into the steel steps. The referee rolls Holiday over and studiously examines his face. No blood.
Chris Avery: Both of these men have been eating face fulls of metal but so far, no bleeding in sight!
Billy: That's good, though, right? If there's internal injuries, well internal is where the blood is supposed to be!
Annoyed and pissed off, Downfall pulls his way to a vertical base before he mounts Holiday, and Downfall starts hammering away with straight right hands to the face and head of Holiday, determined to bust him open hardway. Downfall seems to tire of pummelling Holiday after a minute, and turns his attention to the three other hanging pumpkins... He sees an especially big one on the east corner, and starts to turn towards it, but as he is distracted by gingerly climbing the ropes, Holiday comes from under him, gives him an uppercut to the groin from behind while Downfall is on the second rope. Downfall's eyes open up in pain! Downfall doubles over the ropes, groaning and coughing, and he falls onto his back, holding his midsection and groin. Holiday steps over him, reaching up on the ropes and grasping the pumpkin on a pole, and pulling it down, remembering the agony the taser inflicted on him... and he snatches the large pumpkin down. He opens the head of the pumpkin, and he pulls out a pair of BRASS KNUCKLES! Holiday smiles and holds them in his hand, as he comes back down. Downfall is getting to his knees, shaking the fog out of his vision, and holding his midsection, when Holiday lifts the LARGE pumpkin over his head and brings it crashing down violently, smashing it to pieces over Downfall's head! Downfall flops to his stomach and turns over, jack'o lantern guts strewn in his hair, but the referee leans in and checks him, no blood!
Chris Avery: That was a county fair sized prized pumpkin jack'o lantern there and Holiday just pulped it over Downfall's head! That at least has to be like being hit with a rock!!
Billy: But he still ain't bleeding!!
Holiday sets the brass knuckles on his hand and motions for Downfall to get up, because a good shot to the mush with one of these knuckle dusters would surely break Downfall's teeth and have him spitting blood. He shouts for Downfall to get up, and Downfall, disoriented and not knowing where he is, is pulling himself up on all fours. Holiday shouts at him, and finally as Downfall is getting up Holiday charges, coming for a knockout shot, but Downfall sees him coming and pulls the top rope down, letting Holiday go sailing to the outside! Holiday falls, rolls and comes to a stop, and the referee throws his hands up, in shock. But he checks on Holiday out there, no blood. Downfall is determined to fix that as he goes out there after Holiday. Downfall flips up the apron, hunts around for just a second and comes out with a kendo stick! Holiday is shown pulling himself to his feet where he is backed against the pole and a hanging jack'o lantern. Downfall comes forward swinging for Holiday’s head only to see Holiday duck out of the way and Downfall crack the ringpost to a huge ovation from the crowd. Holiday reaches down picking the kendo stick up where he uses it to deliver a White Russian legsweep (a la The Sandman) on the floor. The crowd is building a reaction as Holiday is slow but starts to get back to his feet. He picks Downfall up off the floor before hurling him into the ring! Holiday slides into the ring with kendo stick in hand as he reaches his feet where he raises the kendo stick in the air to a generous reaction while Downfall rolls over to his chest and pushes himself up to all fours. Holiday comes forward cracking the kendo stick across the back of Downfall. The crowd goes louder and louder for each successive hit with the kendo stick. Holiday tosses the kendo stick to the mat with defiance, and then he looks down at Downfall. Downfall is groaning and holding his midsection, raising a hand up almost as if to beg off Holiday. Holiday then grabs the steel chair... Holiday gets back in the ring, sliding under with the steel chair. And Downfall pounces, kneeing him right in the eye socket, making the chair slide from his grasp. Downfall swarms over Holiday, aggressively booting and stomping him.
Chris Avery: I think Downfall is showing a great deal of frustration at continuing to have to deal with Holiday.
Billy: I mean, you beat a guy once, and he continues talking about you every week; He loses his TV title, and he's still talking shit about you, I can understand, that might be a little grating. But still, goosfraba, baby.
Downfall grips the arm of Holiday and knees him a few times, then irish whips him into the corner. David turns his head, and starts to gather some momentum. Downfall runs to the opposite side of the ring before coming back with a splash to the corner, but Holiday charges forward lifting him up before dropping him head first across the top turnbuckle with a snake eyes. Downfall staggers around for a bit, dazed. Holiday uses that to his advantage by kicking him in the gut to bend him over. Holiday then lifts Downfall up above his head in a seated position, before throwing him down almost lightning quick into the turnbuckles with a snap powerbomb. Downfall grabs at his back as he staggers to the middle of the ring and falls flat on his face, still clutching his back, and Holiday kicks him right in the mouth, before demanding the referee check him. No blood. Now, Holiday sees they're down to two jack'olanterns hanging from the poles, so he goes to the west corner, climbs up, and pulls the pumpkin down, opening up the lid. From the pumpkin, he pulls out... a tennis racket??
Billy: Alright, either someone was in the clearance aisle at Dollar General, or this is the gag corner.Holiday, still seeing red, snarls at Downfall and he gets down, holding the tennis racket in both hands above his head, ready to jam the handle down on Downfall's forehead. Downfall intercepts his hands, and there is a brief, absurd struggle where Holiday and Downfall are wrestling as if Holiday is trying to stab a knife into Downfall's eye, only it's the handle of a tennis racket, but Downfall pushes Holiday off. As both men get their bearings and turn around Holiday raises the tennis racket, and bonks Downfall with it. The tennis racket bounces off Downfall's head, because, it's a tennis racket, and Downfall kicks Holiday in the gut, hard enough to make him drop it. Downfall then picks the tennis racket up, wraps it around Holiday's throat, and does a Tazzplex with the tennis racket around Holiday's throat. Now, Downfall shakes his head, and several long seconds pass by... and Downfall, seeing the last, hanging jack'o lantern on the pole above him, slowly makes his way over, climbing onto the ropes and showing the fatigue this match has brought. Holiday is getting to his feet as well... Downfall reaches up, and pulls the last jack'o lantern down!
Chris Avery: This is the last weaponized pumpkin!! What does it have in it?Downfall just reaches in the open lid of the jack'o lantern, and pulls out a black bag. A sick smile spreads across his face as he lets the pumpkin fall to the mat and bust open, it's the black bag that concerns him.
Chris Avery: OH NO.
Billy: I do not like the implications of a black bag in a hardcore match, at all.Downfall takes his time as he gets down, holding the bag and measuring Holiday... and then, he slowly takes the bag by the ends, and upturns it onto the mat, and spills out... A SHOWER OF THUMBTACKS, AT HIS AND HOLIDAY'S FEET!! HUNDREDS OF THUMBTACKS ARE FALLING TO THE MAT!!
HOLIDAY SEES THE TACKS SPREADING IN A POOL IN FRONT OF HIM! HIS EYES OPEN UP!
THE CROWD ERUPTS IN A BLOODTHIRSTY ROAR, AND A HOLY SHIT CHANT!!
Chris Avery: THOUSANDS AND THOUSANDS OF TACKS! A VERITABLE BED OF NAILS COVERING THE RING!Billy: ALL EITHER ONE OF THEM HAS TO DO IS GET POKED BY THE TACKS AND BLEED, AND THEY LOSE!!Downfall, stepping on the tacks crunching in his boots, goes to lift Holiday up, double underhooking his arms and setting him up, and motioning it's over. Downfall snarls at Holiday, and sets him up for an 11th Hour, right on the precipice of the ring of tacks littering the mat...
But Holiday back drops Downfall off of him, sending him over his head! Downfall hits the mat, and juuuust barely hits shoulder first away from the bed of tacks! Downfall's eyes open up in shock and a surge of panic as he looks to his right and sees he nearly landed on the tacks! Downfall climbs to his feet, and he turns... right into a SAVATE KICK from Holiday, dropping him! Now Holiday stumbles, and he barely is able to keep his footing, because the follow through from his kick has made him stop right at the edge in front of the tacks. Holiday grimaces, and he turns around, dragging Downfall by the head and trying to push him, face first, into the pile of tacks, but Downfall straightens his arms, and the two men struggle for a moment!
Chris Avery: These two are struggling to literally shove the other face first into a bed of pointed tacks!!Downfall lifts up Holiday and just slams him down onto the tacks!!
Billy: OH MY GOD!Then Downfall stomps on the back of Docs head and shoves him face first into the tacks!
Chris Avery: GOOD GOD!!DING DING DING!
Downfall stumbles back into the corner as he's announced the winner!
Doc turns over and is bleeding from the forehead and is rolling out of the ring.
Chris Avery: DOC WAS BUSTED OPEN! DOWNFALL WINS IT!
The crowd reacts as Downfall lifts his hands up in the air and then climbs up the turnbuckles and celebrates some more as Doc is on the outside of the ring against the apron.
Billy: I can't believe Doc took Downfall to the limit though! What a match!Chris Avery: Doc should resilience, I'll give him that!We fade out.
