Jill Park has been on the roll of a lifetime. Ever since Havoc, she has won the United States Championship, the Women’s Championship, and the All-In briefcase. In addition to that, License to Jill had been a staple on Paramount+. Despite the, as she called it, ‘unfortunate accident’ with Remington Serroul, the show had continued to impress the network with it’s ratings. Despite all of this, Jill Park still felt off. She felt like she needed more. Perhaps it was the other co-stars fully believing(knowing) that she was to blame for Remington’s departure, as well as her injuries. Or perhaps Jill could attribute these feelings to Dandy DiVito.
Dandy had made it his mission to embarrass Jill every chance he got. She had been slopped. Affluenza’s locker room had been slopped. After successfully retaining the United States Championship against Kyle Kemp at Monday Night Clash Showdown, she should have felt like a weight had been lifted from her shoulders. There had always been questions about whether or not, in a singles match, if she could beat Kyle Kemp. Last monday, she proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she could. She laid everything on the line, and she pinned Kemp 1, 2, 3. In yet another huge moment for Jill Park, she had looked to soak in the moment.
But, that’s not what happened. No, once again, as she collected her Championships and briefcase, slop rained down onto her, courtesy of Dandy DiVito. His continued mindgames, his continued teases that Jill’s tag team partner was somehow involved, it all had to come to an end. After a lengthy shower, Jill Park was ready to face the cameras. She made it abundantly clear what she wanted.
Jill Park. Dandy DiVito. One on One.
But, once again, Dandy was one step ahead. Like he always seemed to be. Regan Voorhees would be named as the Special Guest Referee. That was the catch.
Was it all a setup? Was Regan really that two-faced? Was the heart to heart at Voorhees Farms nothing more than a red herring? Or was this yet another mindgame from Dandy DiVito?
There was only one way to find out.
“Alot of people like to refer to Dandy DiVito by his real name of ‘Winston’ when they get into these deeply personal issues with him. If you ask me, that is more a sign of respect than disrespect. So I want to make one thing abundantly clear.
I don’t fucking respect Dandy DiVito. I don’t give a shit what he’s done in his Action Wrestling career. I don’t care if he will be considered a Hall of Famer when everything is all said and done.
The issue between us did not start at Uprising.
Sure, you’re temper tantrum over losing in the All-In ladder match certainly spawned these childish mindgames of yours, but for the origin of our story, we need to head back almost a full year.
Turmoil 2021.
I’m sure you remember it fondly. The night you recaptured the Action Wrestling World Heavyweight Championship for the third time.
A match for the ages. Kyle Kemp, Carter Shaw, Jill Park, Dandy DiVito.
Again, I’m sure you remember it well. Pinning my shoulders to the mat for the 3. For the title. You were at the top of the mountain once again.
I’ll tell you right now, that’s not what I remember.
I remember coming off the heels of a loss to Kyle Kemp at Execution. I had to watch later on, as that same man became World Heavyweight Champion after cashing in his All-In briefcase. Turmoil was my shot at redemption. I trained harder than I ever had in my wrestling career. I went to a new gym, met with a new personal trainer. I developed new skills and techniques. For someone everyone thought was just a reality star playing wrestler, I set out to shift the paradigm. And that’s exactly what I fucking did. I eliminated Kyle Kemp. I eliminated Carter Shaw. And I should have eliminated you.
But nah. Your lackey shithead doofus brother cost me my shot at the summit. My moment in the sun. My biggest, most important performance OF MY LIFE became my most embarrassing humiliation in the blink of an eye.
The ironic thing is that perhaps Affluenza would never have to be if it wasn’t for that night. You taught me a lesson, I’ll credit you that much. I knew I needed a friend. I needed an alliance. I needed someone that would watch my back. And every since January, that has been Regan Voorhees.
I guess you could say we’ve come full circle. You now look to destroy what, in a way, you helped create. How poetic for you.
And I’d like to sit here and say that I know for a fact that Regan Voorhees is on my side. That she is my best friend in the world, and that I know she wouldn’t betray me like this. But, if I’ve learned one thing in my time around Regan Voorhees, is that she is unpredictable, and she is dangerous. I also know she has always been at my side, and she has always been there when I needed her to be.
What I do know, Dandy, is that on Monday Night Clash, we both get what we want. You wanted, so badly for this to happen. You wanted Regan involved. You wanted to sew descent and hell, maybe you have.
Or maybe you’re just a fucking tool.
Or both.
One thing I do know in all of this, is that I am sick to death of dealing with these fucking games. I’m finished playing your game. I’m tired of you foolishly thinking you hold all the cards. That you are always one step ahead. You wanted Regan as the referee, and you got it. Now? I get what I want. I get you in the ring, finally. After your chickenshit antics the past two months, I couldn’t be more thrilled. All of the frustration, all of the fucking bullshit I’ve had to walk through to get to this moment, it’ll be worth it.
I’ll show you, Dandy. I’ll show you just why it’s a mistake to fuck with me. I’ll remember Turmoil. I’ll remember how you denied me of my moment. I’ll remember how you did it AGAIN at Uprising, as I was primed to become the new World Champion. And I’ll remember the weeks of torment you’ve inflicted on me. The slop, the mindgames, all of it.
I’ll take all of that bullshit, and all of that humiliation.
And I’ll return it fucking tenfold.”
Liberty, Kamryn, and even Jake looked on in astonishment as Jill Park sat on the across from them, all smiles. Next to her, snorting excitedly, was Atticus. For a while, Jill had the idea of bringing the pig on. She had finally convinced both the network and Regan for the crossover. She had been adamant it would pop ratings for License to Jill, and also bring extra exposure to the brand of Atticus, as Regan had been ramping up campaigns to feature the pig more prominently.
As Jill got practically face to face the Atticus, the other two ladies groaned. Jill pulled her face back and pivoted her body as to face Kamryn and Liberty.
“Problem?” Jill barked. There was an awkward silence that followed.
“It’s…a…dirty pig.” Liberty finally said. They sat on eggshells for a moment as Jill nodded her head slowly.
“Then the two of you should feel right at home.”
“OH SNAP YO!” Jake exclaimed, laughing hysterically. Both Kamryn and Liberty shot glares at Jill before storming off in a huff. Jake got up and followed them off, intending to crack more jokes at their expense.
Jill was able to relax a bit now, as she slid back slightly. Without any prompting, Atticus jumped right into her lap. This had been something she needed time to get used to. Surprisingly, the pig had taken to Jill ever since the first time they’d met. It was an unconditional love that Jill really hadn’t experienced in her lifetime, even if it was coming from a pig. Jill picked Atticus up in her arms, lifting him close to her face. She pressed her cheek into the pig and stared into the camera, delightfully saying “Everybody loves that pig.”
“THAT’S A WRAP!”
Called a voice from off-screen. Jill stood up, still with Atticus in her arms. Kamryn and Liberty passed Jill again, without a word. They were likely off to their rooms. Jill continued through the set into what resembled a green room. There was an intern to meet her there.
“Miss Park, the rep from Voorhees Farms called, and are running a little late. They will be another ten minutes, they said.”
Jill snarled, and then shooed the young man away. She then came to sit into a chair at the corner of the room. She didn’t bother pawning Atticus off on anyone else. She figured if anything went wrong, there would be a huge problem with not just Regan, but also the media. ‘Everyone loves that pig’ had transformed into much more than a slogan.
She looked down at the pig as it snorted contently, laying in her lap.
“You know, Atticus. You might be the only creature on this planet that likes me unconditionally.”
She paused, as if she expected a reply. She did receive some happy snorts.
“In Action Wrestling, all I have is Regan, you know? Outside of it, I really can’t say I have anyone. Anyone that ever remotely came close to me I pushed away. Some may call that self-destructive, but I consider it self-preservation. People always want something. Maybe that’s what’s so captivating about animals; about you. You don’t want anything but the necessities.”
Jill stopped speaking for a minute. She chuckled at the fact she was having a heart to heart with a pig. That didn’t stop her from continuing, though.
“But Regan…I don’t know. She’s always been so standoffish. It’s probably what we bonded over originally. But lately, it’s so hard to quantify. I think we had a real moment back in Alabama. A real turning point, I guess you could say. For the first time in the whole time I’ve known her, Regan showed some vulnerability. Not only that, but she accepted and forgave my insane thoughts of her betrayal.
But that’s just the thing, isn’t it? Are they insane? Or am I right? I have no clue anymore. I thought all these questions of loyalty were answered back at Meltdown. Regan helped me retain my belt. Helped me continue pushing forward and carving out what has been the best year of my professional life.
It’s Dandy DiVito. I know it is. It’s these mindgames he’s been playing. I finally have a chance to shut him up, and this is what I’m worrying about. Maybe it’s all part of his plan. I just can’t be certain. If Regan were to betray me, I don’t know where I would go next. I don’t know how that would change things, but it would be catastrophic.”
Atticus continued to snort happily as Jill spoke. There was a knock on the door and it opened. Regan had come for Atticus herself, apparently.
“Jill.” Regan said, as warmly as you’d expect her to say it.
“Hey, Regan.” Jill greeted her as she stood, passing her Atticus.
“Well, I guess we’ll see each other on Monday.”
“We sure will.”
Regan turned and walked out the door and Jill was left with yet another puzzling interaction.
