There is a difference between being a great wrestler and a main event player. Great wrestlers get in the ring and put on a show with their bodies and yes, they might fight in the main event but in their eras they are remembered for just being there.
Main event players are remembered because they’re great wrestlers and they deliver the biggest moments. They have moments where fans can close their eyes and remember exactly where they were when something amazing happened.
And if you’re truly a main event player those moments are all over your career.
Kyle Kemp has those moments. Jill Park has those moments.
What? Did you think I was going to take the time to bash her resume? I’m not. She’s come along greatly in the past year. She’s better than I thought she was at this point last year. I’ll admit that.
Just look at what she’s done. United States Champion. Women’s Champion. All In Briefcase holder which essentially means she will be World Champion someday. If anyone were to know that it would be me. She’s done so much and she’s done it in ways that make people remember. She has moments.
She won those titles in style and on top of that she’s beaten some of the best along the way including me. Success is all she’s known….well except when I beat her at Execution last year.
But that’s neither here nor there. I commend you for that success Jill but I also must caution you. So much success means you have so much farther to fall. And that’s where moments come back into play.
Because as much as your legacy can be boosted by moments, it can be torn down by them as well. One single defeat or beat down can cause a tailspin that is the moment that people point to where your career fell apart.
And unfortunately for you I relish the thought of our match on October 10th for the United States Championship being the beginning of the tailspin of your career.

Because as good as you’ve gotten over the last year one thing has remained the same. You always come back to me. One way or another. And after keeping us apart minus All In where we didn’t really get to sink our teeth into each other, we are back.

Then again I wouldn’t call you and Regan Voorhees a team. You’re just two people that say you’re a team so you can add it to your resume. I mean when was the last time you had a tag team match? When was the last time you accompanied each other to the ring? When was the last time you made an effort to rise to the top of the tag team division?
Those are the things that real teams do. They support each other. I should know! I’ve been Tag Team Champion multiple times and I have been part of some of the greatest teams in Action Wrestling history. I know how to properly partner with people.
Sure you eventually will have some falling out but if I can make tag teams work with Spencer Adams and Dandy DiVito then you should be able to make Affluenza work. Right?
Then again maybe the Womens Champion is actually just teaming with Regan to hold her down. To keep her away from a top spot because she knows she can beat her. Maybe Jill Park is and always will be about herself rather than furthering anything for the other women on the roster.

The fight to get to the top pales in comparison to the battle to stay on top. You think things are hard now? Just wait till you have the World Title and have everyone gunning for you. You have thrown in my face that I lost the Fatal Fourway last year. I’d like to see you do better when two future Hall of Famers and the next you decide to come at you all at the same time.
