The scene opens with Tuma and Von stabbing shovels into this huge pile of gravel and rock. They're picking up gravel and dumping it into a wheel barrow right behind them. The sweat pouring off of their bodies in the hot sun. Tobias is watching them with a big straw hat on watching them as he drinks from a gatorade bottle. The two continue to shovel gravel as Tobias begins to preach out above them.
Tobias Hoffman: You guys are being tested not only this week on a special episode of Monday Night Clash but right here right now.
The two look at him but continue.
Tobias Hoffman: Grunt work, shoveling gravel, fixing up the yard for our master Roman Gunn. This mansion deserves to look it's best and thus you two are being tested. Can you finish this test? Can you do your best? And just like on Clash, you guys will be facing the top tag team in the world right now. The Tag Team Champions King .. Shit.., and Roman and I must know can you finish them off? Can you defeat the best? Are you ready to step up to the task at hand and be successful?
You're reminding me of the story of Sisyphus. He was forced to roll the ball up a large hill, a mountain. He was pissed off at first, cursed to this stupid task. But he figured he could do it. He ends up rolling the ball up this mountain. This heavy, giant ball of rock. He gets to the top of the mountain and it rolls back down. He goes back down, defeated. It was a test ya see and he started to figure it out. He knew it was an unreachable goal, a task he was forced to do forever. Sisyphus was pissed, lost his head, got frustrated and he never completed his goal. He knew as high as he got that rock the mountain would always win. But what if he was supposed to try a 100 times? and on the 100th time maybe the curse would have been lifted and the rock reaches the top? And he wins?
You're hating this test right now, I get it, but what if there is success right on the other side of this!?
The two dump the gravel out of the wheel barrow and Von starts using the shovel to spread the rock out in a desinated area. Making a nice gravel side pit along the fence. They walk back to the large pile of gravel and begin again.
Tobias Hoffman: You will be entering the ring against CJ Phoenix and Spencer Adams and you will be tested. This is not the old fossils of the west like Painkillers. This is not some shit tag team like Affluenza or Insurgencia. This is the best of the best and we will put them down. YOU will put them down but you need to be at peak. You need to be mentally prepared. You will need to be at your physical peak performance. This is why you're tested.
Do you think you're going to have it easy in that ring? You think you're ready to declare yourselves as Tag Team Champions!?
I think you're weak!
The two drop their shovels and step towards Tobias. Tobias notices he got under their skin as the two step closer. Then in the shadow behind Tobias is the big dog of the yard. The man. The leader. The master. Roman Gunn steps up and moves Tobias to the side and gets in their faces.
Roman Gunn: He believes you're weak. He believes you don't have what it takes to win the Tag Team Championships. Maybe he's right.
Roman looks at each of them in their eyes.
Roman Gunn: Or maybe he's wrong.
Von and Tuma look at each other.
Roman Gunn: Grab the shovels and get back to work.
They pick up the shovels and begin again as Roman watches and Tobias steps closer to Roman and smirks.
The scene fades out.
A new scene fades in to the arena, the site of Monday Night Clash and Tuma and Von are standing in front of a camera.
Von: Tonight, we make our stamp in Action Wrestling. We put our mark in the tag team division, which is why we're here. This is what we're all about. The Gunners are comin' out locked and cocked and we're not slowing down. Stand in front of us if you want to feel the bullet lead tear through your bodies, peircing your skin, your blood running out. I bet you can feel your heart racing right now. I bet you gettin nervous huh?
Tuma: Of course they're nervous! Of course they're blood be pumpin! This is their real test, uce. This is how it all ends for them! Spencer Adams been doing a lot of things here in AW, he a staple, he the foundation, uce, he the backbone of Action Wrestling.
Von: And ya know what we do with backbones? We break em! We crush em! You stand on top of a tag team division that didn't have us in it yet. You beat a few tag teams to get your shot, you beat the Champions who are one step out the door in this place and you think you're the Kings? You think you're the shit? You have another thing coming.
Tuma: CJ is a tag along. Lets be real, he taggin' along to all his major success. He ridin the coat tails of the Following, he ridin' along with Kyle Kemp and Dandy, he coastin' on success from everyone else but tell me my man what have you done on your own? The Hardcore title?! Come on man, you lost it at Evolution.. the show that will become ours in 2023 and beyond. I'm not tryin to spit that you can't do shit on your own but..
Von: Thats exactly what we're saying! You ain't cut out for this, CJ and that's fine but move aside and let the real tag team champions come in and tear shit up. And Spencey, we aint here to spit that you're over the hill, we ain't sayin' you're too far past the prime and you're gone nah my man, we're just here to say you aint betta than us and you can't cut it anymore. You're no longer the shit and you def ain't king here bru.
Tuma: King Shit is King spent and the Gunners are the number one tag team on the block. We're not just the number one tag team contenders, we're the number one tag team PERIODT.
