When Moriba brings Kitsumi home, he makes sure that she’s in her room before immediately leaving the house.
Satuski and Noburu barely catch a glance of their sister before she is sent into her room.
Her prison.
She doesn’t need to hear the locks to know she isn’t leaving.
Not that she’d want to.
All that attention from Him.
All that focus from Him.
All that care and affection and lo—no, dare she say it?
Her heart can’t stop beating, her smile can’t disappear, her feet can’t stop tapping her carpeted floor.
She falls back onto her bed, looking up towards the ceiling with a soft smile.
“Nothing will ever be the same.
Things have changed, and I don’t mean just in my life.
The Rulers of Our Kind were allied together for a mutual benefit, but we have already done so much more than either of us could have concocted.
We’ve flipped the tag division heels over hair.
We’ve beaten arguably the best tag team in CruiserClash history.
We won the Cruiserweight Tag Titles on our first try AND managed to beat multiple former and present Cruiserweight Champions along the way.
Change is fascinating, but not because of what was, but because of what will.
And this change won’t stop just because we were stripped of our championships, Roddy and I, oh no.
This change will begin to grow in strength until it’s a twister torpedoing through CruiserClash.”
Her smile begins to turn more sinister.
“I enter my first CruiserHavoc knowing my disadvantages, especially with my ally entering last and my present entry unknown.
But I am confident in myself to know that no matter when I enter, nobody is safe from my strikes, from my throws, from being Drowned in Love.
It’s hard to win a match when you’re passed out, right? Just remember that when you see me.”
She blinks once, allowing her right to change color.
“And if you do happen to cross paths in the CruiserHavoc, I wish you luck.
Not luck in winning, oh no, you have no hope in that.
I wish you luck in surviving.
Because with the exception of my ally, nobody in this match is safe.
Everybody is a target.
Everyone is a victim.
I will enter this match knowing the person I love, the person I do all this for is watching with emotions for me that I hadn’t known, with care and attention for my wellbeing I will always cherish.
I will not disappoint him.
I cannot disappoint him.
I will not allow you to make him disappointed!”
A knock on the door cuts her off. She blinks and her eye returns to normal. With one motion, her soft smile molds on her mouth.
“Yo,
Oh Noburu…always the supposedly caring elder brother.
“I am okay brother. Just…happy!”
There’s a pause at the door.
Noboru doesn’t respond, but she can hear his footsteps fading away.
“The loss of a school is nothing to me.
The loss of my most hated rival is nothing to me.
The loss of my mother is what I wanted, and any collateral means nothing to me.
All that matters is making sure the person I love is happy and proud of me.
If I can win the Cruiserweight Title—a championship shot I have already earned—than…if he’s happy with me surviving something like the school going up in flames, then…”
She starts to shiver, hugging her body close and writhing back and forth on her bed.
“…just imagining his look make my heart feel like it is going to explode.
This feeling…I love it. I want more of it.
I will have more of it.
I’ll be winning the Cruiserweight Title.
I will.
Don’t try and stop me…”
The sinister smile returns to her face.
“
