"Tis the season, isn't it?"
"It's the time of year when the leaves breath their last before the inevitable takes hold in a brilliant display of sublime beauty. The time of year in which the final harvests are brought in and celebrated so that families all across the world are able to survive. Yet, more importantly, it is the time of year in which the capitalist propaganda machine begins to run in full effect by selling the false narrative that October only important qualities are overused pumpkin spice memes, copious amounts of teeth-rotting sugar bites we call candy, and dressing one's little monsters in terribly constructed amateurish outfits so that they can take them outside for several hours simply show show-off just who is the cheapest of the cheap."
"It is all so very heartwarming, isn't it?"
"....."
"Fuck no. The entire charade of lies and halfhearted attempts at greed-mongering is enough to make me feel violently ill as the mindnumbing basic masses fall for this seasonal trickery year after year; like a merry-go-round that doesn't end until the first of the new year. However, amongst all the gutwrenchingly despicable corporate control there is but one thing that truly serves as the light within the Jack'o'lanterns of the mundane. In fact, since the inception of Action Wrestling, this one thing has become what every devoted wrestling fan has looked eagerly to in order to get their yearly overdosage of unfettered violence, hellish horrorcore hits, and to bear witness to the inhumane brutality that those few unlucky Action Wrestling stars will inflict upon one another within the iconic walls of the Execution Cage."
"Ladies and gentlemen, it's Execution season."
"So let's have a bloody good time."
"..........."
"Seasonal pleasantries and impassioned anticipation building aside, I find myself rather conflicted with what has been so graciously presented to me this Execution season. On one hand, I, alongside four others, have been given an opportunity to tear each other apart for a chance to be entered into this hair-brained lottery that one of the co-founders has concoted in order to bring a level of unpredictability back into the Pasternak run Philidor Holdings held hellscape that Action Wrestling has become. In essence, we're competing for a chance at a CHANCE instead of simply being given the opportunity to become the primary contender for the United States Championship."
"Clearly, more than just Corey Black and Spencer Adams have been forced to bend the knee."
"Can you understand where I am coming from with my conflict? No. I doubt you can as you will be far too busy watching us act like desperate rats trying to escape a pit. For your entertainment, the five of us shall be forced to scramble and squeal as we do unimaginable things to each other so that maybe the almighty eyes of luck will turn towards us when the time comes; when a victor for a minuscule chance is determined. For some, the nightmarish rat race will be their destined moment to shine and deliver on all the promises of disgusting violence and decadence that they claim that only that can bring about. For others, this is just another opportunity given to them for merely managing to exist within the border of obscurity and relevance."
"John Black, I cannot believe I have to say this, but you are quite clearly one of those that fit neatly into the latter. You fight and struggle to bring a better life for those in your community just as hard as any man with a little bit of money and an understanding of what life is like without. Yet, instead of stepping to the plate and actually attempting to achieve REAL success and the money that comes with it, you continue to halfheartedly portray yourself as a man of the people. You publicize the meager and bare minimum of what you could be; SHOULD be; doing as the man that depicted himself as a messiah of the streets. No. You're not going to do anything to willing jeopardize this illusion you built over the years. You're never going to attempt to reach beyond your limits; never attempt to live up to the man you've brainwashed them into thinking you are. Instead, you'll continue existing along the fringes in hopes that something will fall into your lap once more and you might be mistaking this match as just that. Yet, you more than anybody should know that you can't earn a chance at a chance by simply sitting back and watching. You have to be an active participant willing to reach beyond what he knows and step into a world far more cast than you could ever possibly imagine. Except that isn't you. It never has been nor will it ever be as you have already proven to be more than content of being the background bitch for others that REALLY want to make something of themselves; to do something good."
"Just sit back as you have always done and allow yourself to be dictated by those around you, you pathetic fuck."
"........"
"Right; with one delusional man set in his ways dealt with, allow me to speak the other individual that fits neatly into the same category is CJ Phoenix. Which is undoubtedly something that many consider being quite odd as the man has the in-ring tenacity equal to that of the silver-tongued he employs so very well. Yet, for a man claiming to see how high he can raise the proverbial bar he has done quite a lot of.......nothing. Despite all the things he has gone through and all the challenges that he wants to remind us that he has stepped up to the simple fact is that he has NEVER done anything with it. Whether it be a hard-fought victory or a heart-wrenching loss, CJ Phoenix has never been able to do anything with the momentum. He was never able to become Cruiserweight Champion prior to his jumping to Monday NIght Clash much like how he was never able to move beyond being the belt warmer for Johnny Baccus. Even then, when he had an opportunity to truly grow and move past that, CJ has always been unable to free from the despair that binds him so. Oh, he'll use that snake-like charm of his and will deliver a sermon as good as any fraudulent televangelist about how he will feed off the despair of his opponents and how he will one day rise to the summit of the Action Wrestling mountain with it as the fuel. Yet, when one REALLY listens to the words he speaks they see that he isn't a grand creature of the abyss feeding off of despair, but a man that cannot achieve greatness no matter how many times he tries; no matter how many victories he garners. Take a few weeks ago for instance; CJ was a man so readily willing to tell me just how much the Television Championship defined who I am and that I would never be anything without it. Yet, in his regurgitated exuberance he never once mentioned anything that could compare to what I have done for the Television Championship. He never once gave any prominent examples of why his legacy of peripheral existence was any better than the work and heart I poured into that division."
"CJ Phoenix has NOTHING and that terrifies him. Terrifies him to the point where he has mistakenly come to the understanding that he'll have something if he just picks and prods at the open wounds of others; that he will be Action Wrestling World Heavyweight Champion because of it. That an eye for an eye will bring about justice with it instead of what will truly happen. A slow and steady death"
"It truly a waste to see such a talented and devoted man act like a braindead fool."
".............."
"I must say that I am quite astonished by how willing I am to monologue as of late. Perhaps it has something to do with it being Execution season in Action Wrestling, but normally I am one to simply stand before a camera and allow my facial expressions to do just as much talking if not more. Then again, it might be the sublime satisfaction I get from watching people scurry about in boundless anticipation for Execution that has put me in a better mood than I have been as of late. Though, if certain non-wrestling people are to be believed, I've never been in what one might consider a quote-unquote "good" mood. However, you're not here to listen to me reflect upon the chemical imbalances in my brain. No.......you would all very much prefer it if I continued on with what I had been talking about in regards to how some people are when faced with a situation such as this; what category they are a part of."
"Needless to say, Bryan Williams and Lethe are the ones looking to shine within this rathole of a half-hearted attempt of an opportunity for a chance at a chance to be United States Champion."
"So tell me, Mister Wiliams, have you been able to do the proper amount of research in regards to whom you're facing in this hellish five-way, or have you fallen into your safety net in which you believe that you will be victorious simply due to you being who you are. Have you taken the time to truly see how John Black, CJ Phoenix, Lethe, or myself operate or are you hoping that your keen observational skills will pinpoint a chance of victory much like they would any technically sound professional wrestler today? You see, Bryan, in your perpetual effort to stand out and think outside of the norm you have become just that; the norm. Oh, you can film as many dark and slightly mentally off-putting videos as you desire but the fact remains that sort of thing has already fallen into what the fans of Action Wrestling EXPECT of Bryan Wiliams. You have fallen into that pitfall and now you can only try to claw your way back to the surface of relevancy with such violence and fervor that hopefully none can compare to. Yet, the excessively violent rise you speak often of is merely but a drop in a bucket in the history of wholly nightmarish violence that this company has had the misfortune of experiencing. To make matters worse you, by your own admission, have long since succumbed to the level of successful mediocrity that comes with constantly seeking to be different from those deemed to be peers. Bryan, being a violent masked man in a world already filled with violence doesn't make you special nor does all the generic drivel drizzling out of your mouth."
"It makes you a fucking desperate attention whore."
"You can sit in front of the camera and use every editing trick in the books in order to help those genric words of doom and gloom come across as unsettling. In fact, you can continue to display your in-ring prowess for all the world to see as often as you want against as many mediocre fools as you wish. However, the eyes that you so devotedly seek have turned away. No longer are they willing to look upon a man whose mantra of bucking the norm is the norm. They no longer wish to see the man the Bryan Wiliams is becoming for they have already seen that sort a thousand times over. The sad fact is that your rise; the rise of Bryan Williams; has already reached the point in which people no longer care to listen to what contradictory bullshit you have to spare nor bear witness to every generic independent mental fuckatry you try to employ."
"You're already done, Bryan, and that is really quite the shame. I was rather looking forward to the failure of the Bryan Wiliams experiment further down the line. This? This is just sad. Maybe you'll have better luck in the next federation that you'll inevitably slink off to? You should, as history has shown that you are quite the repetitive creature of habit; always sticking to the routine and becoming mundane."
"........."
"Have you grown bored of this newfound desire to monologue of mine? Are you all becoming weary of my tirades and speeches and desperately desire me to return to the old way? The way in which I speak less and use motions to allure and ensnare. Fear not, my little worrywarts, this isn't something that I plan on making a regular routine; I'm not nearly as pathetic as Bryan Williams in that aspect. However, all I ask is that you continue to bear with me until this reaches its end. So be patient, little crows, we're nearly there."
"And yes; for those wondering that was indeed a play on what a certain Greek Goddess portrayer used to say during her momentary trip through the CruiserClash world. Though, it's quite a shame that she left long before she managed to do......anything. It is almost like the beloved wrestling icon meant nothing."
"Then again, if you are one prone to listening to the off-brand ramblings of a woman in a Minnie Mouse mask then odds are quite high that you would be under the impression that there isn't anything on this planet that matters. Not the animals living in symbiotic harmany. Not the rat race of everyday life in which you struggle to live and thrive. In fact, not even the very notion of existence itself matters as it is nothing but oblivion that awaits us. Which is something that I find rather comical in a way as I once stood alongside Oblivion in a vain attempt to steer Action Wrestling away from the waterfall of disaster that it inevitably went over, but I digress. The point is, this opportunity doesn't mean anything to Lethe. The Harley Quinn-inspired Purge pretender has gone on record several times stating as such whenever she has a match. Instead, the only thing that matters to her is the systematic dismantling of Action Wrestling as a whole so that they will feel as she does; empty and weak."
"At least, that is what she likes to portray."
"The fact is, young Miss Lethe is quite the contradictory wretch. More so than her fellow rat of violence that is Bryan Wiliams, I dare say. For as much as she likes to ramble off and act like a psycho amusement park guide about to step over the edge, Lethe has taken to demanding that the competitive level be increased. She desires the throat-slitting demeanor of those at the top to tear her a new asshole. Lether is tired of being corraled with the likes of John Blade and Chase Jackson. She wants more! Yet, she herself isn't willing to take that step into the competitive hellfire as hiding beneath that mask allows her the freedom to do and say whatever it is she wants without the worry of any substantial blowback or consequences that would normally result from her actions. Lethe is nothing more than a childish coward demanding to be given cake when she hasn't the desire to feast on the meals presented before her."
"I'm sure that once this is done she will go back to her dilapidated carnival and tell the world that I'm spouting nothing but bullshit as she sits on some bumper cars or some other character-centric shit she is so desperately attempting to portray, but it doesn't matter."
"None of it matters."
"Lether doesn't matter."
"What DOES matter is just how desperately and vehemently the five of us will be willing to drag the others to hell over this chance. With every second of ceaseless work and dogged determination to be the best damn wrestler we can be, we will do every horrific thing that any one person can imagine, and then we'll do things far worse. We will go from the technically sound suplexes and jaw-dropping ariel maneuvers to tearing each other open so that we can strangle each with their own intestines. Arms will be broken and heads will undoubtedly roll, but at the end of the night, there can be only one individual that can have their arm raised in victory."
"It just depends on who wants it more, right?"
"If so then there isn't going to to be any competition regardless of how impressive each and every single opponent is. It isn't going to matter how willing they are to deliver unimaginable pain. It isn't going to matter because there isn't a single one of them that wants this more than ME. Oh, they'll preach and claim about they're the best in this match and how victory will be theirs. Except not a single one of them has the heart and stubborn willpower to make that happen. If they did then John Black would already BE somebody in this fucking industry, CJ Phoenix would already be World Heavyweight Champion, Bryan Wiliams would be standing at the pinnacle shining brightly as he ever could with that cock mask over his head, and Lethe would have the broken and ruined foundations of Action Wrestling at her feet. And yet; they have NONE of that."
"Me?"
"Claire Hawkins?"
"I don't have anything like that either. However, what I do have is the undeniable history forged in the fiery pits of competition of a division that I fucking brought back to prominence. I have four years of dauntless and dogged determination to be the best professional wrestler that I can be. I have the backbone, thick skin, and enough focused willpower to take every dagger-like word and freight train-like impact that any person in the Action Wrestling locker room can throw at me. For they call me all the mean things they desire and they had hurt me as badly as they want, but the fact will ALWAYS remain that I am here; that I AM Action Wrestling."
"Forever."
