The scene opens up a closely framed shot of Terry Colt Jr. standing in his wrestling attire, he looks to be cutting a straight forward promo that’ll potentially be used “picture in picture” style in some recap or syndication show. TC: Am I good enough to be here? Yes! Have I proved it yet? Sadly I don’t believe I have and that’s why I’m both grateful but also a little apprehensive to be in this MAIN EVENT match. There’s gonna be fantastic athletes in the ring that night on CruiserClash, maybe I’ve not earned the right to be considered up there with them, but hell I’m gonna go out there and show my worth. Terry pumps his fist in the most 80’s white meat babyface way possible. TC: So yeah I lost my last match but that’s because I made a simple mistake, I went to the top rope and let’s be honest I’m no good there. That’s not what I do, I’m a simple man and I try to keep myself grounded while those around me talk big and perform even bigger, I really do believe that being straight to the point will help me succeed here in ActDub. He nods slightly, continuing with his speech. TC: The only people I’ve ever beaten here are in this match and are my opponents again, like I said last week maybe if I’d faced either of them one on one I’d have lost, but once again we’re looking at a multiman match so it’s about working together and in this I’m teamed with two great tag teams and I’m the fifth wheel. Whereas the opposing team has Badass Bob, Alex Scott and Flop. Those lads right there are three guys that I don’t imagine get along very well and really it seems like the only cohesive unit in that entire team are the Schorg Brothers. The brothers of course come from a family of wrestlers, what else can you expect from but success, you can’t bet on failure when you’ve got generations of wrestling blood flowing through their veins. He starts to smile as he speaks, but as he continues his face becomes more solemn. TC: Brothers. Family. There's strength in family. A strength I don’t actually possess right now, because even though I'm the son of the legendary Terry Colt…. Terry pauses for a moment. TC: Oh? You've not heard of him? Yeah not many have and I’ve never met the fella, but me mam said he's one of the greatest wrestlers of his generation. So I'm here to honour him and his legacy........whatever that may be. Colt turns his head staring into the distance for a few uncomfortable seconds before shaking his head, metaphorically and literally refocusing himself. TC: So on Monday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota I got my sights set on a win and I’m ready to pull the trigger. The scene ends as Terry Colt Jr. smiles at the camera while also attempting to look tough at the same time. He fails at both objectives. End. |
