The camera fades in with a close-up shot of the faceplate of the Action Wrestling Television Championship. With the light from high above illuminating the glittering gold and the crisp white leather belt, the Action Wrestling Television Championship was truly an unearthly sight. However, that state of mesmerization would soon change. Slowly, the camera began to zoom out until the rest of the scene was revealed. Much to the disappoint of those that preferred the different variations in locations that some promotional videos had, the scene in was nearly an EXACT mimicry of one; a mimicry of The Witch’s video prior to the matchup against Hazel Overton. The large Oaken table, the lone source of illumination from high above, and the encroaching darkness that seemed to threaten an overtaking of the scene.
“The deed is done and the crown has been torn from the pretender.”
As if the light were merely a bubble that was in place to protect the Action Wrestling Television Championship against the darkness that threatened to disturb its otherworldly glow, the crimson-eyed Witch of Action Wrestling stepped into the light. Clad in her customary black leather Metal inspired style, Claire leaned over the Television Championship and placed a hand on either side as if she were a general planning a stratagem.
“What should have been a proud moment quickly became nothing more than a footnote when a particular fool chose to make his presence known not once but twice. However, much like him, the multitude of ambushes over the last several months have amounted to nothing. The proof of that lay before you; the Action Wrestling Television Championship.”
Taking a moment to look down at HER Championship, Claire soon looked back up into the camera; the fiery intensity causing her eyes to seemingly glow.
“Fortunately for some, holding this particular piece of gold means that I cannot afford the distraction of snuffing out their light. Instead, a very clear target has been laid upon me and it is I that needs to keep another from tearing the crown from my brow. This week, on Monday Night Clash, the first foolhardy challenger steps into the arena of contention.
Balthazar Blakely; the so-called SESH GREMLIN has been chosen for a second time to step into the arena. However, it shall end much like the first.
An inevitable defeat.
You see, despite both of us holding a victory over a former Television Champion in Lincoln Kuechly, the only one of us that has been forged in the fires Action Wrestling is ME. He has never competed against some of the BEST this industry has seen. Ryan Lockhart, Thaddeus Franklin King, Corey Black, L Verez, Bonnie Blue, and Dune are all just a few that I have stepped into the ring with. Though they are only mortal they each possess a lifetime of dangerous skills that out weight any of his “Life or death” situations that he proudly proclaims to trump all else.”
Once again Claire turned her gaze downward to the Large Oaken table before her; a faint chuckle that whispered cruel intentions escaping her. Looking up once more she continued.
“If that doesn’t tell you just what sort of brain dead person my opponent is then nothing fuckin’ will.
Come Monday Night, I am gonna show him that my experiences alone against those titans of wrestling shall carry me through this bout. There isn’t anything that he can do that I haven’t seen. No move that I haven’t learned. No tactic I haven’t seen.
Come Monday Night both my opponent and the city of Houston shall the Black Veil lowered upon them when I SUCCESSFULLY defend MY Action Wrestling Television Championship!”
As soon as she finished preemptively declaring herself the victor in her upcoming bout, Claire reared back and let loose her Banshees Wail! Maybe it was planned or just serendipity of fate, but as the Wail ended the bubble of illumination that surrounded her flickered. Albeit for only a moment, the light flickered and allowed the darkness in. When the light returned both Claire and the Action Wrestling Television Championship were gone. In their place; the pale head of Baz. With that image being the last thing to be seen as the video faded out, old and familiar word burned their way onto the screen just before the video truly ended.
Quote the Witch Forevermore.
